  1. Sorry for not giving enough detail. So here's the situation, I have my birth certificate with the name "ANNE Brown" issued in 1997. In a year my parents decide to change my name. So I've got my 1997 passport with my initial name "ANNE Brown". Name changes to "SUSAN Brown" in 1998 and so I am issued a new passport with the new name "SUSAN Brown" and in that passport which is now expired, on the last page I've got a stamp from the Consulate General of India which says "The holder previously travelled on PP number A123456 issued at _____ on 12/12/12 which is cancelled and returned as it contains visa. This passport is issued due to change in appearance/NAME OF HOLDER - She was previously known as ANNE Brown". There is technically no way for me to "fix" my passport I believe as the name isn't an error. My parents just decided to change it within a year of my birth. All my passports and all other legal documents have my correct name. It's just my birth certificate that has a different first name. I also have my baptismal certificate that says my name as "ANNE SUSAN Brown". I hope this is clearer? So is this a good enough proof to show evidence for an official name change? 2. My parents changed my name within a year because they didn't like it. I do have a new passport with my new name which is now "Susan Brown". I have around 3 passports using my new name "Susan Brown"
  3. So I have just realized my birth certificate has my first name as "Anne Brown" for example and my current first name has been changed to "Susan Brown". I don't have any attested documents of this change but my baptismal certificate has "Anne Susan Brown" and my earlier passports issued also has "Anne Brown" but as of now all new certificates and passports have the new name "Susan Brown". Will this be an issue at any point? I'm not able to change my birth certificate since it's done in India.
