  1. as suspected the mail received from USCIS today is yet a 3rd copy indicating "approval" or the I-485. the response from my Senators' office, received today, is as follows; ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Hello, I am emailing you to confirm USCIS has received our office’s inquiry into your I-485. Please allow 45 days from today for the agency to give our office a response. If you have not received a response by that time frame, feel free to follow up via email.
  2. USCIS emailed late last week to inform us; ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************ This e-mail is to confirm the USCIS Contact Center received your inquiry. The USCIS Contact Center has a response time goal of 72 hours based on your issue. There is no need to contact us again regarding this inquiry and will respond to your inquiry as soon as we are able. You may receive a response by email, or we may need to call you for additional information. If you would like more information about how we respond to your inquiry, have general questions, and would like to access our online tools, please visit our USCIS Contact Center web page, www.uscis.gov/contactcenter. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* no response from the offices of either political representative as of yet. my House representative indicated that the case worker would be contacting me within 72 hours. no such indication from my Senator. USPS Informed Delivery indicates a letter from USCIS but my guess Is it's just another copy of the 797.
  3. in today's call I am informed that an officer has been assigned the case, the status of the green shows as "in production" and there is no method for expediting a medical emergency request. I am waiting responses from my Senator and Representative offices.
  4. to flesh out my contact with USCIS, requesting INFO PASS is how I got through to a live person. (now I can't find how I learned of this trick. USCIS certainly doesn't seem to want to share this info) the agent that I spoke to talked rather fast... not fast for a natural English speaker but faster then my Thai wife could understand. after repeating the question "do you give me authorization to speak to your husband about your case" twice, the agent announced that there would only be one more attempt before the call was terminated. the agent looked into the database and told me that the photo taken during biometrics was deemed unacceptable. this information is only available to an agent. Biometrics were conducted in July 2022 so apparently the case just goes into never-never land and sits "approved". I asked if there was anyway this case could be expedited and the agent told me there was not. I related the above to my senator's office and indicated that if all they do is request a status check they are wasting their time... and mine. oh... I received another "we made a decision on your case" email today. excited to think maybe something was actually happening I logged into my account to find that our I-485 had been approved yet again. this makes *3* approvals. do I win a prize ?
  5. even though this page indicates that it was updated 02/27/23 all I can imagine is that the substance of the page was generated pre-pandemic. I have filed a service request and am supposed to receive a response by June 6.
  6. thanks for replying. we have not filed for a missing green card because this has not been issued. her case status remains as "approved".
  7. I wasn't sure where to post this or how to properly search the forums for a potential similar thread. my bride is very close to her family and the sibling she's closest to is quite ill. her I-485 was approved 12/01/2023 and the letter states that if her green card has not arrived within 90 days to call NBC. on or about March 1 I called and said "green card" to the automated phone software. this software is only programmed to respond to the phrase "green card" by ASSuming that the caller wants a replacement. I replied in the negative. asking the software for a representative returns the reply that "...if you ask for a representative again I will terminate the call". a few days later I decided to get my local representative involved. they indicate that they can intercede about problems with a federal agency. they did so and the response from NBC was to REISSUE the same letter from the prior December. this makes it look like NBC is doing something when in reality they are not. as of May 6 there is STILL no green card and my bride wants to travel to Thailand a see her family. today I contacted my representative's office again and related the current situation. further, I filed the same complaint with my U.S. senator. after plowing through the USCIS website until I'm cross eyed. I don't think she can meet the emergency travel requirements. getting medical docs translated by a recognized service in her sister's area of Thailand ain't gonna happen. thanks for any insight
