    Hello Sandra, How long it usually takes for security or background check ? I'm getting same responds from uscis pending background check on my i485 since 2020 when my I360 got approved. Also when is the pending i485 considered to be out of processing time nyc office? Thank you !

    I have the same responds since my i360 got approved in 2020 . Still pending i485. Nyc office . I think background and security checks are the same and noone knows how long it may take

    Oh nice so technically they can say "grant it" and then uscis just sends a green card ?keep us posted on the updates . I hope you'll get the card shortly

    I'm really considering that option . How much does it cost in our area? So you hired an immigration lawyer to file mandamus or what specialty I should choose ? I don't think my immigration lawyer knows how to do that properly.

    Have you tried get the status updates through the local congressman ? Mine keeps getting the same answer from them - Pending background check since 2020.

    Thank you. I got approval for i360 2.5 years ago . But everytime the congress makes an inquiry vermont replies same thing for the past 2 years pending security check. So I dont know how long to wait or what to do to get my file to be sent to local office and scheduled for an interview . Have you ever had similar cases like mine going through security check for more than 2 years ?

    I'm Queens too . Waiting for 2.5 years . Seems like all queens cases kind of slow .

    Congratulations !! Did you get a combo card or just both separate? How long work Auth and AP are valid . I've heard they give work authorization for 2 years now. What about AP?

    It can take years , I've been waiting for 2.5 years since i360 approval .

    Better ask your congressman to follow up on your behalf . They work faster than senator

    Probably background check or smth like that. Mine was approved 2.5 years ago and it's still in Vermont due to background check and noone knows when it will be transferred to the local office .
