    Hi Everyone.. Should we go ahead and pay the visa application fee even though we still don't have an interview date? They received my packet on Feb 6... Please let me know..

    My advice is to pay the visa application fee after you know your interview schedule. It's way too early to do that. Anyway, goodluck to you & hope you will get your medical & interview schedule sooner. :thumbs:

    This morning I called up the USEM number (632) 301-2000 to follow-up my packet and still the lady who answered told me to call the USEM call center number which can be accessed only thru PLDT & SMART land lines. It's just frustrating why they pick phone lines we can use. I live in the province & Cebu City with a PLDT line is 85 kilometers away. We have telephone at home and it's sad to know I can't use it to follow-up my case at the embassy. Anyone here knew the explanation why the USEM is picky which phone company can get thru their call center number? :help::(

    Hi. I called USEM earlier at 3:40pm (California time) which is 7:40am Manila time. I used a phone card to call them. They answered amd didn't tell me to call the call center number. I think it also depends on the person who answers the phone. Maybe try calling again.

    My fiance's name is Justin... When I filed for the K129F I put Justin. I noticed on the NSO (BC) it says Justine with an "E". What should we do? Do we have to go by the Birth Certificate? and the CFO certificate that he got he put Justin with no E.

    And on his passport it says Justin... Are we going to have a problem ? Please help...

    My fiance' name at birth was Marieta, but for many many years she went by Marietta. She got Police clearances under both names, had a new birth certificate printed and had affidavits from people who knew her her whole life and attested to a police agency that Marieta and Marietta were the same person, and that several documents had 2 T's. The Passport was the real key though, it had 1 T as well. Bottom line, whatever the passport and birth certificate have are what you need. He may have to have paperwork produced if other official documents have the "E" on the end. If it is only in your application, then you have to submit a change. Perhaps consult an immagration lawyer for the proper way to do so. My lawyer here only had a consultation fee, but it was worth getting the paperwork through without RFE.

    An RFE is a delay from the service center, and does not mean the process will end outright, just be delayed a week or two longer. I'd suggest gettting the affidavit I mentioned and have it handy to add to your paper application here, and his interview there.

    We are fixing the CFO and the passport. Now my only concern is the NOA2. It has Justin.. I hope this won't be a problem..

    Maybe you can use a notarized "Affidavit of Discrepancy". A Notary Public in the PI can do it for Php350.00... I have a friend who had the same problems with her name. All her life she's been using the name she thought's her name only to find out that she got "Mary" on her BC. The affidavit helped here and she's now here, enjoying life in California.

    Hi Everyone! I finally got my MNL Case number today MNL2008535XXX Anyone else got theres? what does 535 means?

    i just wanna ask if what rfe trick you made...ours is we sent back our rfe reply last jan 16 and last jan 28 my status was change it says there that case processing resumed...

    right now i am patiently waiting for an approval...im a july filer too.we got our noa1 last august 6...can i have a positvie feedback about this...

    I never got RFE.. I just did an RFE TRICK and called the 800 375 5283 options 1,2,2,4,2,1 and enter receipt # press 1 and press 1 again.. When they answered I just asked them for the status of my case. I called them twice and got touch twice check my signature.. So they are working on your file now since it says case processing resumed. In no time you will have your NOA2... or you can call them and ask for the status.. Good Luck.

    i wonder why mines taking so long mine is MNL2007845***, im a june filler around 22 or 26. and until now they are not yet sending the packets i need for the support and ds-032. dad's lawyer said NO UPDATE yet its been past 15 days from the recording of NVC " a packet of documents has been sent...." and counting continues... sad ;(

    I'm sorry. Maybe you should call Manila embassy and ask.. I thought we don't fill out DS 032? Anyone please correct me. I thought the only forms are I134, DS 156K, DS 157 and DS 156.

    Or you can email them.. That's what I did and they responded within a week. Their email address is NVCInquiry@state.gov

    Include your WAC# and Beneficiary's name and DOB.. Good Luck.

    Police Clearance

    Hi Everyone! My fiance got his German Police Clearance however, they made a typo on his first name...What should we do? Should we request a new one? I don't really want to do that because that will take awhile again.. Anyone had the same experience. Please share.
