  1. Hi, quick question. How long was your visa valid for on the passport (as in, how long did you have to enter the US after receiving it)?
  2. Hi everyone, our interview's coming up in a few weeks and I'm just gathering all the documents that we need. I noticed on Montreal's "Pre-Interview Checklist", it says: Your original birth certificate and that of your petitioner if applicable, English translation, and a photocopy. I don't recall submitting our petitioner's birth certificate or a copy of it to NVC at all. We're in the F3 family based category, and I'm pretty sure we submitted a copy of my petitioner's US naturalization certificate. Do we actually need to bring the original birth certificate? Thanks.
  3. I know right… it’s funny because I checked Dr. Ian Zatzman’s website today and it now says in red text that the Hepatitis B vaccine is now a requirement. It wasn’t there a week ago…
  4. Hey everyone, we just had our medical (will update the details later). But heads up, Hepatitis B vaccine is now required for those 18-59 years old (apparently that requirement was added very recently, like last week).
  5. Yes I was DQ’d in end of July, 2020. Montreal’s consular website regularly updates which cases they are working on. It can be found here (Question 2, bullet point #2): https://ca.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/consular-operations-updates/
  6. Didn't get a chance to reply but thank you, this is very reassuring. Ours is next week but our interview isn't until 6/27. Hopefully that should give us enough time to get it all done. Glad it went well for you!
  7. Oh wow hahaha, same here. Apparently I had it first, then we went to the doctor and they told us that my brother is very likely to get it next, and he did. Should be a pretty straight forward process when explaining it to the medical examiner.
  8. Oh interesting, perfect I'll ask my mom when I had it, I think she has the month/year. Thanks for your help!
  9. Thank you, and good idea. We'll take them in case. And yes, I had chickenpox as a kid, which is probably why I never received the Varicella vaccine. I attended school in Ontario from K-12, so I received all my vaccines here. I have an immunization record from the region I live in (it's a yellow one), it shows Tdap and MMR. I didn't end up getting the signed vaccination paper from my doctor so hopefully that immunization record will be enough .
  10. I just called them and asked if they required photos and they said no. Is it possible that they may have changed their policy? Also- I didn't have time to get my titers test done for myself so there is no way to check my Varicella immunity. I've already received Tdap, MMR, and COVID-19 though. Hopefully Dr. Randall Lee's office can do that test for me at the medical. My interview isn't until June 27th so I think I should have enough time to get everything I need.
  11. Hi everyone, has anyone here had experience attending their medical with Dr. Randall Lee in Scarborough, ON? We booked an appointment with them for next week. Also, does anyone know if they require passport photos? We're planning to just have two 2x2 photos taken for our interview only. Thanks!
  12. Hi everyone, my interview's in a few weeks and I'm just submitting the courier information for the passport. I'm wondering, if I had to renew me passport in the past year after being DQ'd, which passport number should I include in the "Passport Number" spot? I'll be bringing both passports to the interview.
  13. Hello @NGJ and members, I received my IL this morning. DQ July 2020, interview set for June 27th, 2022. Category is F3. I actually planned to fly out to the US today for vacation, but I'll need to cut my trip short now. Good luck to everyone!
  14. Okay perfect, this is also what I found on other forums too. I think the other two were COVID and influenza (which I think is only needed during flu season). I'll tell them to get that test done. Thanks!
  15. Also, we plan on attending Dr. Ian Zatzman's office in Vaughan as we've heard good reviews from them. I'm assuming this is the official list of vaccines needed. Does anyone know if their office gives vaccines that haven't been received or documented?
  16. Hi, we're going to be attending our medical likely in the next couple months and just want to make sure we have everything needed. I just realized though that my parents (who were born in India but now live in Canada) don't have their immunization records. Does this mean they will need to receive all the necessary vaccines prior to attending the medical? We live in the Greater Toronto Area btw, if that helps. Thanks!
