I also had my medical exam with Dr Rappaport! Her office works pretty fast, I had my exam on Friday the 9th and I received an email saying it was sent to the consulate on Tuesday the 13th so I'm expecting the consulate to pick it up any day now :)

Yesss I felt like they work very fast! when did you have your interview?? Hmmm so they haven't even picked it up one week after!

Hi Chelsea! Botoole had his status change from refused to admin processing about 9 days after the medical. We had ours done on the 7th and 6 days later we received the email from the medical centre which means they have sent it to the consulate but our case hasn’t been updated yet. Hoping this will happen Monday? I’ll keep you updated.

    Thank you for that :)

Im hoping that my results will at least be sent prior to my interview on Wednesday the 21st! and it may delay processing maybe a couple extra days...thats the impression I am under.
    Please keep me updated Thankyou!!!

Did the lawyer say you’ll 100% need a waiver?

The consular officer will determine if you need a waiver or not.. not the lawyer. If you go submit a waiver application without being in AP will take 12 months to process looking at case processing times.. let the CO advise if one is needed, that way they review it as part of AP which is way faster..

Don’t forget, it really depends on the charges, like I said, disclose it, take all the court records and evidence that applicable fines were paid off with you to the interview.. depending on what it is and when it occurred they may not actually care..

the only time you need a waiver is if it’s an inadmissible offence.. e.g. multiple dui, drug offences, violent crime.. etc Is the issue you have listed as an inadmissible crime? If not, don’t worry about it

The lawyer said we should prepare one just in case. So maybe I will just pay the money just to have it in case but I won’t submit it unless asked for it.
okay Thankyou if there are further questions with the CO and they need the waiver I can just bring it in same day.

for the small crime I did and no conviction recorded I’m not too worried but may aswell prepare it just in case :)

    Thankyou for all your help

Nice one! Did they offer you a date couple weeks out? (seems to be what they're doing). It's been 17 days since NVC confirmed my expedite was approved and expecting interview scheduling any day now (My status on CEAC tracker just changed to 'Ready' on Friday too) -just glad to hear they're still scheduling as I was starting to wonder!

Mine was 14 days ago they approved our expedite and the status just changed to ready on Friday too! hopefully we get scheduled an interview this week fingers crossed!

    Hey everyone

I just noticed my noa2 is going to reach it’s ‘valid to date’ in a couple of weeks time and my case status is ‘at nvc’ do I need to contact the embassy to get it extended, the nvc or does it automatically happen?

    cheers legends.

Mine expired August 31st so just after the expiration date I emailed Sydney to request my visa gets sent to them (expediting) which got approved and it just arrived at the embassy today.

SO 10000% email them with your own personal expedite :)

Could be something to do with them prioritising K-1 visas at the moment. I'm assuming you emailed NVC? I haven't emailed Sydney and not sure if I should considering they need NVC to send them the case.

That's true. I emailed NVC first and they explained they have finished processing it and to email Sydney Consulate directly and then it's up the consulate officer in Sydney who reviews the expedite if they request your file or not. So you need to make sure NVC has finished processing it before you email SydneyIV to request them to send it.

That's so great to hear! Sorry if this was posted somewhere but what was the time frame for getting the expedite? I applied on 31/8, got a receipt notice on 5/9 but still waiting for the approval....

THANKYOU! I emailed them on the 3rd of September and they replied today saying it was approved. I know there are few different types of expedites out there but this was to get my case to the consulate from NVC so it took 7 business days to Get a response.

so happy to find this page and see people are getting processed!! My wife has been stuck in WA over 6 months now on working holiday visa. We received DQ from NVC on August 11 for our spouse visa.

Expediting on grounds of emotional hardship definitely seems applicable... Is an expedite request some sort of legit document i need to file? Or do I just shoot an email to the embassy ?

We got an automatic email from NVC to email this specific email address: sydneyiv@state.gov     A lot of other people have emailed this address also for their expedite. We are still waiting to hear back from them but I only emailed them on Thursday.

    Good luck 🌟
