You would need to contact the Consulate General of India in the city closest to you in Germany.

Here’s the link for the consulate in Frankfurt. There should be one in other big cities such as Berlin and Munich:

It appears it is very straight forward In Germany and from the website you would be able to get the police clearance certificate on the same day. Good luck!

    Thank u so much 🙏🏽🙏🏽

    Hi everyone,

just a little update. We got our interview appointment today for the 8th of February (IR1). But this might be because we fall under the exceptions in the presidential proclamation and had an expedited case. Not sure if your cases are similar. Upside it, the consulate is scheduling and conducting interviews during the lockdown!

If you do fall under the exception of the presidential proclamation AND your case is already at the consulate, I would advise writing them an email. They respond very quickly!

    So happy for you 😊😊😊

congratulations.. I am so sorry I haven’t updated..it has been a crazy ride.. our interview is this Friday 7:30 am. February 5th.

Spouse finished medical today. Will let you know how it goes.

    Tip: schedule medical ASAP.

    Hi,

I am in a similar situation. Got DQ'd in November 2020 and I've been waiting for my interview date in Frankfurt since then. I managed to get some answers out of NVC/Frankfurt Consulate since then and here's what I was told:

"Please be advised that in light of recently re-imposed COVID-19 restrictions, we cannot schedule any interview appointments until further notice and have suspended processing of all new visa applications."

This is a direct quote from the Frankfurt Consulate General, received on January 21st. Since the lockdown was extended until February 14th the day before, I am hoping this is what they are referring to and scheduling will resume once the lockdown actually ends.

Thank you so much for your detailed input and sharing the info. I hope they start scheduling after Feb. 14. (Hopefully no more extension) 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I am sponsoring my husband who is a German. We have already done the I-130 and been approved. We submitted the I-865 and I-865a but they have not been approved yet because I am missing  my 2019 tax transcripts. I filed my 2019 taxes late and since COVID the IRS is backed up by six months on processing taxes so my transcripts are not available yet. However I have been unemployed since 2018. my husband is paying for everything and his income is well above the poverty guidelines. Is there anyway to get approval for the I-865 without my 2019 tax transcripts?

-You can get accepted and DQ'd at the NVC stage without a transcript, by submitting only the tax return + 2019 w2.

-You can write a letter stating that your transcripts are unavailable on the IRS for 2019 (due to late return), and that you did not work in 2018 therefore you did not file taxes. Upload this letter to the ceac portal.

-In the end, when you get to the interview stage: It is up to the officer who interviews your case to decide if they can approve the visa without a tax transcript.

Thank you, all the best to you too! The wait is so excruciating! Where did it say "Ready"? On the CEAC website it says "Your case is currently at Frankfurt". So I hope it will go quickly from now on. Do you know whether the interview appointment will come in a letter in the mail or as an email?

    https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

I used the above link to check the status. The sequence goes like this NVC> In transit (4 days; because mine was during the weekend)> Ready (this reached the consulate).

I think but not sure, they may contact the beneficiary through email or phone number. I highly doubt they will contact through regular mail.

    Sending good vibes.

    Hi 😊

We applied for an IR1 visa in April 2020 (we have been married for more than 3 years and we have been living together in Germany). We got DQ on the 4th of December 2020 and got an "expedited" email on the 7th of January (we did not request an expedite). So now we are impatiently waiting for our interview appointment in Frankfurt, which could come every day now.

omg! All the best :) the interview letter could come any time this week--hopefully 🤞

I checked my status online and it says "Ready".

    I will keep it posted.

  7. NVC accepted a police certificate from the regional office for my case.   the police certificate was issued from the state government..  Will this be ok?  Is it up to the CO to decide?

    Please and Thank You.

Hello when u received letters from NVC after approve your documents.they sent me latter and said we looking for appointments from Islamabad pakistan.but i want to know after how long it take to sent case in case transit after nvc sent institutions?

Expedited cases work differently for different embassies, however to answer your question —it took 3 days from accepted email to “in transit”.

  9. Hi folks,

My case was expedited at NVC stage. My documents have been DQ. My ceac status says "in transit", and hopefully will be "ready" by Monday. 🤞 Let's hope.

Do I book my own medical? I understand Frankfurt consulate will call/email to make the interview appointment, however I've read (from past posts/facebook) that the interview date will be swift from the approved expedite time. People mentioned attending interviews without their medical or completed their medical (just 2-4 days prior).

Also read that when you book medical, the office in Frankfurt won't administer your missing shots..(they tell you to go back to local physician and get it, then send it back to them). Is this true now?

Expedite approved email received on 01/07/2021

Comments/advice welcome. Please and thank you.

I am sorry you are experiencing all this. Please be aware it may take upto 8 weeks before NVC responds to your email . We would usually get a response back within 6-7 weeks.

Another issue that is quite possible here is the e-mail server has blacklisted NVC email and is dropping all incoming e-mails so you are not even getting spam.

Since you are DQ-ed, and awaiting interview scheduling, make sure you check your CEAC status regularly, when it says in transit or ready you may call either NVC or the Embassy explain the issue and ask to get an interview date e-mail. it would not hurt to have alternative e-mail address for this purpose.

    Hope this helps

    Good luck

Thank you for your advice. Appreciate. Will keep a lookout for it on the ceac portal. All the best to u. 😊

  11. Good morning, all

Here is my situation so far,

    1. I never get reply emails for inquiries (4 inquiries in total) made to NVC--I made them when it took about a month for my payments to go through for AOS/IV applications.  It is resolved now.

    2.  I never got a DQ email from NVC after my documents were reviewed and accepted on CEAC. I just happen to login frequently on the portal and that's how I found out I was DQ'd.  I have called NVC multiple times about the email, all they say is that it was supposed to have sent out. I checked my mail, my spam, my trash and everything. It's not like they don't have my email. I double checked my email with them, and they have it.

    3. NVC does have mine and my spouse's email on file, and it is correct.

    4. We sent an expedite email on Dec. 24th..still no ackowledgement or "we are reviewing" email. I am not looking for a decision for my expedite.. NVC is currently reviewing emails from Dec. 30th as of today..I have called multiple times to ask them if they even received my email but no avail...

I hope someone can say what is happening here, and offer some advice.

    Please and Thank You.

    Hi,

It's been 4 weeks since I received an email from NVC that my documents are accepted and NVC will work with US Embassy at Frankfurt to schedule interview. Since then I have not received any email. US Embassy is opened now in Frankfurt. Should I email the embassy visa section to check the status? Any suggestions/recommendations will be appreciated.

Did you receive your interview yet?

For the payment I am unable to open the page on  the department of state payment section. Is there something I am doing wrong? They sent me an email and it is not working when I click on the link.

i had no luck during my USCIS with the messaging system. I was given a whole lot more info in the call. No generic answers at all.

    Try ceac.state.gov

THANKS! I will start right away, that’s a good idea. Really worrying about why my I-130 hasn’t been looked at (or appears not to have been anyway) but prepping documents is a good idea so I can send them AS SOON as NVC allows me and payment clears, etc. (Maybe by April? Ugh 😕) Thanks for your suggestion!!!

Yes, my friend get started on those paperwork..and the 2020 tax return and the tax return transcripts from IRS...and their W-2's blah..blah.. (you know I am tired of paperwork at this point with NVC)..LOL..

It will take your mind/spouse mind off the I-130. (i hope so).you will be surprised how much paperwork is involved and the precision of scanning those paperwork involved with NVC
