Yes, we were able to snag one of the few spots (two dates were available) in November!  Great to hear your passports have been dispatched already.  Are you having them couriered directly to you?

Awesome! Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised at the speed. Had it shipped to the Post Office close to us (trying to reduce the number of stops/transfers). It’s already arrived, however we are on a pre-arranged trip so couldn’t pick it up today, will collect it when we’re back on Monday!

Congrats @VA21202 and @Dip_eb !  We are going for our rescheduled interview Nov. 3 and I'd love to know how long it actually takes to get your passports back, once you receive them.

Awesome! So glad that you were able to get the rescheduled interview date soon enough! Status switched to issued the same day (for spouse next day) and got notification of being dispatched to courier today (so 2 days after). Will keep you posted when I actually receive it. All the best!

Thanks! No, in fact they have explicitly stated that you don’t need a PCC from the US (I forgot where they mentioned that but I’ve seen that note for sure).

Note: Present and former residents of the United States do NOT need to submit any U.S. police certificates.

I have a question. I have worked in US for a few years. do i need a PCC fbi clearance ?

Thanks! No, in fact they have explicitly stated that you don’t need a PCC from the US (I forgot where they mentioned that but I’ve seen that note for sure).

@VA21202 I reviewed 200+ pages of this thread and compiled a comprehensive list of interview questions that were ever asked by MTL. I’ve now added this list of all the interview questions to the EB tracker spreadsheet (interview question tab).

Sorry to hear about the extra wait here @topman. I pray that you hear back soon and everything turns out great for you. Hang in there, hats off to you. Thanks so much for sharing the detailed experience as well as for going through the process of reading through all and compiling for the benefit of everyone else here. Really wishing the best for you!

    Hi all,

Has anyone gone through the process of rescheduling their interview date?  We are getting conflicting info and it is not clear how to do it  (the info provided online and in emails do not make sense).  Appreciate hearing about anyone's experience.

I agree, info shared online and in the instructions seem very counter intuitive but it looks like that might be the way to go, i.e. wait for the interview date to pass and email them the very next day requesting to reschedule. I believe we had Era101 earlier who did that and were able to get a date the following month. I’d be so nervous doing that though, such a counter-intuitive way to request a reschedule AFTER the date has passed.

Aug. 04, 2022 @ CST 3:45PM - My CEAC was updated  to issued.

I'm still waiting for my passport to be sent back to me; I'll update when I get it. ,

Amazing! Thanks so much for that update!  Indeed you have waited a long time like most of us, I’m really glad to hear everything went well! Thanks for the awesome detailed experience. I also believe that we’ll have a big surge in EB ILs in the coming months, let’s hope no one has to wait 2.5 years for interviews moving ahead. Thanks and enjoy 😃

Interview was May this year and I think DQ was back in fall 2019, it’s been a long time … I guess due to Covid as far as I know the consulate was not setting interviews. I was specifically asking if anyone here was under NIW-EB2 category in this group? I see a few names in spreadsheet who were NIW, not sure if the see this message. I was wondering if any of them was issues ds5535 too.

Thanks for the clarity. It’s interesting coz on our little tracker we actually couldn’t not find anyone who had EB interview in May so it’s good to know that at least someone had it. Don’t recall hearing about DS 5535 here recently, I hope it resolves very soon for you. Good luck!

Thanks a lot. Yes and I recently did interview too. But unfortunately I was hit by ds5535 (AP) which totally sucks after such a long time wait … It seems from the spreadsheet that from the people who did interview in this group, they were all approved thankfully and no one went to AP? I haven’t read the whole thread yet, planning to do so soon.

Thanks for sharing @Mary184. Sorry I’m a bit confused with your initial ask here: Are you asking how long it takes to get an interview after DQ or how long it takes to get approved after the interview? Sounds like you have already interviewed, do you mind sharing when was your DQ and when was your interview for EB-2 NIW at Montreal? Thanks!

Can Consular processing (Montreal) and AOS be filed simultaneously?

    Would be in US working.

From what I’ve read, with the same primary applicant, we can only file either consular OR AoS: cannot do both simultaneously.

    https://www.greencardlawyers.com/greencards/ConsularProcessing/FAQsCPvsAOS.html

You are able to file both simultaneously if for instance you are the primary applicant on the Consular processing application and you also happen to be listed as a dependent on your spouse’s AoS application.

  11. Thanks all! Great updates today, so glad! We don’t have any late April or May entries so I’m curious to see how far they got this time. If anyone has any info please let me know. Saw an F2A IL that was DQ’ed in March 22, 2021 so nice big jump there which might have forced them to use the remaining slots for EB. Good stuff!

Hello, I received my interview for September 29th but I might have to reschedule as we will be travelling. CEAC status still says AT NVC

Excellent! Congrats and thanks for sharing! Looking forward to your updates on the reschedule since I might be in a similar boat soon. All the best!

Hi all, we too received our long awaited IL this morning for Sept. 23!  I'm in the process now of trying to book medicals asap as we are scheduled to fly out on the 13th to start school in the states on the 15th...really hoping we can be squeezed in so we can just fly back up for the interview.  🤞🤞

Congrats @topman  Hoping we hear of more IL's in the batch!!

Phew! So glad to hear that! It’s been a wait huh! Thanks for the update, good luck with squeezing in the timelines. Congrats and All the best 😃

Also, if you have a chance, please share your CEAC status @LMIV Thanks!

Just wanted to let you all know that I finally received my Interview letter last night at 1am. It's scheduled for Sept 26th. Thanks everyone for their support, it's been long time coming.

So amazing! Can you confirm what your CEAC says? “In-Transit”?
