  1. Gotcha 🫡 weirdly now that I know I am so close to the finish line it feels easier to just be patient and wait.
  2. Two updates int he past 12 hours - I-751 - Case has been approved, we ordered your card to be produced. N-400 - Case was submitted for Quality Review based on an Approval Recommendation I'm guessing this is normal and I'm nearly at the finish line? Not long now!
  3. So I did my N-400 and I-751 interview last week on Tuesday; everything was fairly normal, at the end we were told we'd be getting recommended for approval. Wednesday we got the update on I-751 that our case was being actively reviewed, then two updated in the past 12 hours - I-751 has been approved and new card is being produced. N-400 Case was submitted for Quality Review based on an Approval Recommendation I'm guessing the latter is normal and the next stage will be the Oath Ceremony? Our case if very standard with no complications.
  4. Wise words 😂 nothing like being so close to the finish line! You're right though, I need to take my mind off of this and accept it's in USCIS hands and they will let me know and it's good to go. Thanks
  5. He only asked about my current role; I had an employee verification letter from my work that I shared with him that included my current job title, salary and start date (01/09/2023).
  6. Agreed, I am very angry at myself for not catching it sooner. I only noticed it just now.
  7. Hi all, I had my Naturalization interview two days ago; it went fine and we got handed a sheet of paper saying we were recommended for approval (I'm also pending my removal of conditions). I went back through all my applications just to check everything was looking good (I don't want anything slowing me down), and saw a stupid mistake that I'm angry i didn't catch before i submitted the application. On my I-485 application back in 2021, I put my employment history, and the start date of my last job in England was 04/02/2019. I made a mistake on my N-400 that I just caught now that the start date is listed as 04/09/2019. Silly mistake, I know. Should I bring this to USCIS's attention? I have my original work contract I can share with them. Or should just wait to see if they send us an RFE? Thanks all, go gentle on me 😅
  8. Got an update from my case on USCIS today (my interview was for both my I-751 and N400) - "As of July 9, 2025, we are actively reviewing your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX. Our records show nothing outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you." If this a typical update to get after the interview for both cases? (The officer that interviewed us recommended our application for approval). Thanks!
  9. The interview was kind of cold and seemed to be having issues pulling up the application, but he recommended us for approval which is good!
  10. Thanks! Will the traffic violation change anything, or is this not considered a serious incident? (It was a $100 fine which was promptly paid).
  11. I had my interview for N-400 and I-751 today after filing for N-400 back in April. My wife joined me, and we were both called in together. Our officer was not that friendly but was was not unfriendly either. He asked about my marriage, details on my employment, our daughter's birth, then the US Knowledge and English Proficiency test. One thing that was weird was he was saying the questions in section 9 were not coming up for him, and he'd asked why they hadn't been completed, but I had a copy of my original submission and showed that I have; he wasn't sure why that occurred. As such, we went through all the questions again, and the only change I provided was over the question "Have you EVER been arrested, cited, detained or confined by any law enforcement officer, military official (in the U.S. or elsewhere), or immigration official for any reason, or been charged with a crime or offense?", where I notified him of a traffic ticket I received last year for not fully stopping at a stop sign. I couldn't remember all the exact details, but I provided the information I remembered and he took note. I then signed the documents and he handed me a note where it said I had passed my English test and US history and government test, and "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval." I'm guessing next I hear final approval and oath ceremony date? Should I be pleased with the interview result, and not disappointed I didn't get an Oath ceremony date on the spot (not that I was expecting this, my wife was asking). Thanks all!

  15. Hi! I filed for my I-751 in February 2024, and for my N-400 in April 2025. I just got an interview notice for both applications. Is this common? I assumed my I-751 would need to be approved and completed before any activity happened for my N-400. Didn't know if anybody had similar experience? Thanks all!
  16. In that case I would just move to the US and wait it out for the EAD. You don't know how much longer process times will become.
  17. Every couple has to decide their priorities; ours was to be together. We had enough money saved that I could afford to wait 6+ months without work. Obviously everyone's situation is different. I was, however, able to get a job offer once I had my biometrics and got my EAD very quickly after that. You may have similar success. If you don't want to wait to work, go with the consular processing, but know that this will add at possibly 2+ years to the wait time for you guys to be together. If you're prepared to this, this could be the best option.
