You have nothing to worry about mate. Go on and apply. You don’t even have to discuss your first marriage because you’ve been an LPR for five years. You are not applying based on your marriage once you’ve had a greencard at least five years. You will be asked to give names of current or former spouses as biographical info, but you don’t have to prove your K1 marriage was in good faith or talk about why it ended or the affair.

Polygamy is being married to multiple people. Adultery is having an affair with someone outside of your marriage. You say you're now divorced and if that is the case even if you remarried that would not be polygamy either.
I get the impression from your post that you might just have got the wrong end of the stick in terminology.
