  1. Long post ahead

Hi guys... Had an interview last 10/05/20 at USEM Doha. A female consul interviewed me and asked me a lot of questions about our relationship, wedding, etc. My interview took maybe about 15 to 20 minutes. At the end, she told me that she will let her colleague review our case since my husband is currently deployed in the US air force base in Saudi Arabia making her doubt my husband's US domicile even though I told her that he will return to the US October 2020. I thought that US military bases in other countries are still considered American soil. At first, she gave me back my passport and told me that they will just message me as to when I'll drop off my passport to the embassy. Then later she changed her mind and kept my passport saying that they will message me if they need anything from me. She didn't give me any 221(g) form or anything. Visa status as per the CEAC visa tracker was "READY". Next day, I received an email stating "In order to continue processing your case an evidence is required when your spouse will be discharged." We got confused by what they meant by discharged, as my husband is not yet discharged from military service. SO we just assumed what they meant was when will my husband travel back to US. So on Oct. 7, I sent them an email with attachments of a letter signed by my husband's US air force master sergeant that my husband will be going back to US October 2020 and his e-ticket booked by the USAF. However, after sending the email, I didn't receive a response from the embassy. Visa status on CEAC tracker still "READY". On Oct. 11, husband travelled back to US. Oct. 14, I sent them again an email with a letter attachment from his USAF chief sergeant stating that he has indeed returned to the US and started to work again in their department. This time the embassy sent a response stating that a consular officer is reviewing the document I've sent and they will revert to me for their final decision. After few hours, the visa status in the CEAC visa tracker website has changed from Ready to "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING". I just want to ask, do I need to worry that our case was placed on administrative processing? I've read terrible experiences after their case was put on AP.  Is this a good sign? How long do I have to wait for the visa to be issued? Has anyone experienced the same? Do we need to prepare and ask for a politician (congressman, senator, etc) help for our case to proceed? Thank you guys. I'm getting worried. 😔

yes. he has US residence and US bank account. I hope the letter from his master sergeant will suffice.

Sad to hear abt your interview .. I’m having interview at Doha on 15 nov for IR1 visa as spouse of US citizen ...little nervous about the public charge form !! Did they ask you about it !? And what about wedding album do they ask about it too ?! Thnx

  2. Good day everyone. Our daughter's case (IR2) is showing READY in the CEAC visa status check as shown in the picture attached here. This is also an expedite case. I just want to ask if what will be our next step? Can we schedule now the medical at SLEC while waiting for the interview date? Or we should wait for further instructions from the USEM Manila? ☺️
