May I ask why do you think a visa issuance of one year is astonishing? Are you surprised because you are from Pakistan and we’re able to obtain a b1/b2 or do you feel it should have been longer?

You keep talking about immigrating and I’m not sure why- you should only be visiting the US.

No one can predict what the world will be like in August. Maybe COVID will disappear or maybe the US will finally ban all international flights. When the time comes you need to feel safe enough. You said you have a few meetings scheduled in August- I’m surprised as most lathe gatherings have been cancelled or not yet scheduled for summer Months. What do you mean “do they look for priority”?

Cant speak personally with immigration and Pakistan but I’m a little confused why a Pakistani would have an issue with Pakistani immigration.

Regarding 1 year validity, I have seen many friends around they have been issued with 5 years Multiple and i have never heard of 1 year validity before may be thats my weak information. Thats why 1 year validity for me is kind of new and seeking a reason why 1 year while many get 5 years within same category.

I am only visiting US for sure. I am not talking about Immigration in that sense but immigration in a sense of airport and entry immigration. I mean what is their stance to new comers now a days to US.

yes i have a meeting scheduled as that is reason i have applied for visa and being issued. On my safe side i have asked will they give priority to those who are US nationals coming back to US or they also entertain business visitors to US? By priority i mean being extra careful on entry.

Now a days Pakistan immigration are not allowing those who are visiting abroad (as my visa is visiting visa) but only allow those who have strong reasons to go abroad e.g going to their home, wife, kids, husband or job. Thats why i thought to ask what is their response on people who would visit on visit visa for short stay.

  2. I was in AP since march 5 and my visa was issued on CEAC at 25 March but i got my passport on 12 June. I have just been issued with B1/B2 visa this month from #IslamabadEmbassyUSA, Now i am thinking on what to do as i have issued with one year validity which is quite astonishing and will expire in March 2021.

Can you answer me as below:

1: Why i was issued one year visa? What could be reasons?

    • Any particular reasons to it?

2: Should i travel  in August with it? What you suggest would be issue on Immigration during #Covid19

    • Yes i have few meeting scheduled there but would that work in such pandemic?
    • If you've traveled to US recently how was immigration response? Do they look for priority?

3: if you've traveled from Pakistan, Did you experienced any issue with immigration in Pakistan?

    • How was your experience? Which visa category?

    Please share your experiences.

    Looking for answers.

first if all 80 percent staff from islamabad embassy left which is making things slower than normal and 2nd the delivery couriers are closed till 7th april so they cant deliver your passport.untill then .it depends upon the current lockdown situation as soon as things get back to normal they will start delivering.and yes they are working on cases on case by case basis slowly as no one can travel yet .i am also stucked in ap.and passport is with embassy i havent received even a single update in a month.b patient

Right. I think date of 7th April will extend as we see situation. But lets see how does it go all around.

  5. Hello all

I was having interview on March 4 and case went to AP on same day and asked for a document. On 25 March case changed from Refused to Issued. Yeah surprisingly it took only 20 days to change status.

Till now no email no call received upon mailing embassy they mentioned all courier and pickup points are closed.

Yesterday on TV i saw that all embassy officials left for US. So we are expecting a huge delay in AP cases and Issued cases as well. But at least there is Pakistani crew i hope they manage some part and give us our passports at least.

    Lets see.

  6. Update: Till now received no call & through media came to know all embassy officials left for US. Now i am not sure Issued status passports are with embassy to dispatch or we'll be waiting until they come back after the pandemic.

    Fingers crossed to the situation.

This doesn’t seem to be true. When I asked about visa applications that are currently processing they had the following to say.

I have already attended my visa interview. What will happen with my visa application that is currently being processed?

If it was not possible for your visa to be issued prior to the Presidential Proclamation taking effect, your passport was returned to you.  Please sign in to your Visa Appointment Service account for delivery tracking information.

If your application is subject to additional administrative processing, or under review pending a decision on a waiver of ineligibility or for any other reason, that will remain the status of your case until you

     are advised  otherwise.

If information or documentation other than your passport has been requested in connection with a nonimmigrant visa application, you can still send it in. Your case will be reviewed when routine operations resume. However, you should not submit your passport for a nonimmigrant visa case, even if it has been requested from you.

If any information or documentation has been requested for your immigrant or fiancé(e) visa application, you can still send it in. Your case will be reviewed when routine operations resume.

If you have any questions about your pending visa application that are not covered here, you can contact us to request clarification after normal operations resume. Please monitor our website for details.

Even i just looked into a group, Three of members got update yesterday on their visa status. So keep an eye over status and patience is important.

Am sorry but I had a good laugh at this one....ISSUED as others have said means your visa has been approved you only have to wait for it to be delivered or you pick it up depending on the options you choose on your CEAC account.

Hah You can laugh of course. BTW thanks for your help.

Not sure they do deliver during this pandemic but i'll be adding to this post if there is any update

    Appreciated,

    Watch your language please.
at least you’ll be ready to go once travel bans are lifted I guess.

Pardon for my language. Yes i truly understand the ban issue now a days. But most concern part was Visa.

Lets see first to it. Fingers corssed

If CEAC status says issued it means your visa was issued. The refusal  prior to that referred to the temporary refusal (administrative processing).  Consider yourself lucky you were only in AP for 20 days, that’s pretty good for your embassy.

Really? i cant believe it now. Its night here i am excited to wait for pickup call or email. I cant believe to the status.

I wish i get issued, i'll surely update you here

  11. Hello

I was having B1/B2 interview in Islamabad at 5th March 2020. Till yesterday status was Refused but now i checked it says ISSUED (25 March) and mentioned:

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than 10 working days, please see the webpage for contact information of the embassy or consulate where you submitted your application.
For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy Islamabad.

What does it mean? Issues mean passport is issued or visa is issued? What you think due to Corona they are rejecting it? as i heard AP take alot of time?
Anyone face same issue please share experience.

& if ISSUED mean Visa issued then how rejection is shown. Because i didnt see anyone posted that my status was REFUSED and then i got call to pickup. Please explain both cases. ill be grateful

    Thanks
