In June they approved a combined 66 CR1 and IR1 interviews.  July they approved 400!  This is in comparison to 200, 125 and 250 for December, January and February before COVID shutdown.  This makes sense because they are only doing CR1/IR1 right now.  They should be moving rather quickly through the backlog for CR1/IR1.

Here's the link if you want to look back over history to see what was approved each month.

That great news! Did you receive an interview date yet?

    Hello,

I have a plan to go to Vietnam when they reopen, Do you guys knows  when they start issue the visa? Did you get a visa with Govietnamvisa before? Can i trust them?

I have not used that site before but I did get one from Vietnam official site.

Beware that even if the country is open back up for foreigner to travel, there may still be 14 days mandatory quarantine upon arrival at concentrated quarantine sites.

Who else is waiting for their appointment in Vietnam?  Other countries have thier own consulate-specific threads.  I thought I would start one for Vietnam.

My wife and her daughter were DQ June 1.  I have not applied for an expedite.  I am actually hoping for an appointment no earlier than January since we plan to move in June 2021 after the school year ends.

I got DQ on July 23rd and waiting too. I have not seen anyone been schedule beside people who has the appointment cancelled previously or those who expedite.

It’s just I was seeing others get approved a lot faster and in a shorter time frame I thought I might not be doing everything I can

Well, you not the only one feeling that way, lots of March and April 2019 barely got approved and some are still waiting hopelessly. You can try to send an expedite as the worst thing is the request will get deny and be aware that it could take longer if USCIS start to furlough their employees.

You are correct VIetnam will only be processing CR1, CR2, IR1 and IR2 applications.  It is unknown when they will start processing K1 visas.  They were to be open and starting regular processing of the above visa interviews that were cancelled in March, April and May starting today, June 29th.

Isn't the Proclamation 10014 of April 22, 2020 been extended to the end of this year? Only spouse and children of US citizens are on the exception list as far as family based immigration visa goes. So K1 Visa may not even be given out until after December 31, 2020.

So I called NVC because I couldn't get to a human calling USCIS. NVC told me to call back in a few days after the 45 day mark and they can help me then. I got the I-797 form and it states that USCIS sent my form to NVC but I don't see anything on USCIS website saying anything about it being sent, it just says I was approved and case is closed.

I waited about 4 weeks after I received the approval letter in the mail to submit a case inquiry on Ask NVC about my case creation with from NVC, then a couple of days later USCIS updated my case status to Sent to DOS. It take about 2 weeks after that update to get an e-mail from NVC with case number. So you may want to try submitting a case inquiry to NVC to ask about your case creation to see if that will help speed thing up a bit.

Still waiting on news of my May 10 2019 application. Looks like a bunch of approvals for people who filed much later! I’m happy for you, but at the same time, it’s painful not knowing the outcome of my case. Is anyone else waiting for a year or more? They transferred my case to Vermont a couple of months back and since then nothing ... I’ve tried contacting them multiple times, but they just give out the same useless information, I can see on the case status page ...

I feel you, mine was the same thing and waited for about 13 months to be approved although I wasn't transferred and filed I129F K3. PD 4/11/2019 and approved on 05/15/2020. All I can suggest is to try really hard to focus on other things otherwise you will keep getting more frustrated looking at other approvals and wonder why not me....

    Congratulations 🎉am happy for you

We are suppose to be celebrating together but received RFE yesterday it's very painful despite that I hired a lawyer to do the job

Thank you, and i'm not sure how they think it ok to make us wait for more than a year then to request for more evident. Praying for you that the RFE is for something simple and be quickly process. We still have to wait more after this.

  9. Well, just got approved today after 400 days.

    I130 LIN - April 11, 2019

    I129F K3 LIN - October 1, 2019

    I129F K3  Denied May 15, 2020

    I130 Approved 1 hour 15 minutes after K3 was denied - May 15, 2020

Please hang on, take some time away from your case and have faith in your relationship during these time for those LIN # that still stuck at Nebraska. Your time will come at the least expected time.

It's seems they purposely abandoned the paper application and began to approve online applicants how can you approve someone that apply by January 2020 and not approve someone waiting for the past one year this is abnormal how can a world power doing things like a 3rd world country

I completely understand and agree with you on this as my PD is 4/11/2019 as well. It really frustrating to see approvals for cases that were submitted way later than our. Not sure what else we can do except wait because they told me to wait until August before i can submit a case inquiry. The only thing I can recommend is to get away from groups or forums like these for sometime to take the stress off a bit, do video call with your spouse more to keep up the relationship to get through this and make plans to take trips together once the other half is over here.

Thank you. So does that mean that applications that don't incur RFE's will be approved significantly faster than 12 months?

Maybe but not necessarily, most people with paper submission cases are still waiting for more than a year without and RFE or movement to see on the case. Mine is April 11, 2019 and still say case received with no status change at all.

I’m still researching this subject and don’t have any further information right now. Check back at a later date for more information.

This is the response I got

You will have to wait until Monday to get Emma to transfer you to a live agent who may or may not have more information. USCIS agent only work Monday - Friday.

What is going on All the Cases around me and all the nearby case have been approved and other transfered except my own.PD 23/04/19

I don't think you are the only one this is happening too. Still lots of Jan., Feb and March cases that have not been approve or touch. The only thing we can do is focus on how to ride out this COVID-19 to stay safe until we are reunited with the love one. April 11 PD here by the way.
