Me and my fiance agreed to join the litigation against US Embassy Manila today. I paid my $2500 retainer knowing that it is a complete gamble that I will probably lose.. but it is better to do something, than nothing and wait another year to be together. I am an October 2020- to NVC filer. Expensive gamble.. but we will see.

I contacted a San Diego, CA based Filipino Immigration Lawyer today. To help draft my expedite request, I want it done right the first time, and with highest chances of acceptance by the embassy. My reasoning will be me being a wounded warrior (disabled vet) already on approved SSDI, needing help with day to day caretaking assistance with personal care, going to appointments, etc. and I am also working as an essential frontliner supporting covid response.

Called NVC and Case# was given today... The US Embassy Manila has had over 10 months now to figure out a way to safely conduct K1 interviews in the era of Covid. I can only imagine the floodgates opening when they finally do resume routine K1 interviews.. People stalking the appointment scheduler website like vultures. lol

I contacted the NVC today, they said they have recieved the 129F from USCIS but they did not put it in their system yet and assign a case #. How long does it take to assign a case number once the NVC does receive the 129F from USCIS?

UCSIC Case Tracker App and Lawfully didn't update for me either! I got an email directly from UCSIS.

Anyone else notice their approval estimate shift an entire month recently? Mine went from August 15th to September 15th.. that's a pretty big shift! I hope its not true. :(

I've never heard of this requirement, is this a legitimate requirement? The US has already done a background check on the petitioner, thus granting their visa, but we need another background check? If we refuse, we can't marry our fiance?

Our NOA1 date is 03/16 , waiting for a decision still
Same NOA1 date here.

Why don't they just consider doing tele-interviews or video conferencing for the issue of K-1 Visas? especially during these pandemic times. It seems to be the only option. Or allow visa interviews through glass partition? Like a bank teller window.

The Philippines has been banning almost every country, right and left for the past year. Probably won't allow foreign tourists until September, Cebu will likely be the first to open up though.
