    Hey guys !
my name is alison I’m french. Started the k1 visas procédure in feb/March 2019

ok so back in February the 5th I got my interview at the us embassy for the interview.

It went really well. Then  a kept on checking the visas status on the website

1 : Stayed on READY until March 1st

2: changed to administrative processing on March 2nd

3: changed to REFUSED ON MARCH 9th

i have sent an email thru the contact link on the website and I have been told that all cases under administrative processing are out under REFUSED by default in the system.

i know that with the pandemic going on now all of us are now priorities, I’ve been waiting now 13 months and I thought that the hard part of the demand was finally done and that I could see my fiancé again. But it’s not the case like a lot of you I’m sure !

can someone have reinsuring info ? I just need something to hold on to because I’m desperate.

i have met my fiancé while I was interning in the us on a J1 visa.
I never had a denial visa ever in my life. I have been to the USA 4 times 2 times with an esta as a tourist and 2 times with a j1 visas.
my criminal record in blank and I have payed all the fees. also my medical exam was all clear. And the interview went just fine showed picture of me him and our families the officer said : congratulation your visa had been approved wait 10 days.

seriously I have never heard of anything like my situation.

I’m lost and overall sad and lonely.
if any of you are in the same situation please let me know.

    thank you.

Thanks for offering some support to the OP. We all need a little "puppy love" once in awhile. You are absolutely right about what is causing the processing of paperwork at each of the processes. The COVID-19 virus has the world in a lock-down position and nothing is moving very fast.

I'd like to add because of these conditions, and the fact that the OP hasn't divulged his country where they are interviewing at and there is no timeline to follow, I'd be careful with your recommendations. Some people, cultures and embassies take longer to process. Contacting a congress person will not, in most cases move his case forward. OP just has to have more waiting time.

I'm having a hard time responding to your question as you are missing some key information; no timeline and no country showing in your profile. We use that information to formulate an answer to you.

We are in a very different times. The world is placing it priorities to keep their population safe. Most assets are being thrown at this direction. People, just like you and I, do not want to be sick or face a untimely death. So you have to understand that your visa may not move for a few more weeks or months. No on can predict when that will happen. These are times that we need to understand the "Big Picture" and not what we want (visa). Just an opinion.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

    Time line: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RTx4pIFfcIXyW15L-nyLuBGzwqYRx5lI/view?usp=sharing

    Country and Visa Type: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RyJiLo_7WTmqvkzXXqLuOlVHm9oyhAES/view?usp=sharing

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

    Thanks

    "puppy love" ?

Sorry its taken this long but you should also know that checks are also done on your Fiances background too...and so many issues these days could result to long AP....and with the current COVID situation no body knows ....half of the world is shut down all we can do now is just be patient and pray.

NB: You should also consider having your fiance contact a congress person to inquire on your case.....13 months is crazy!

Thank you ! I’m sending this to him .

  6. Hi guys, I'm super worried....

ok so my visa interview was february the 5th and we are february the 26 and I still haven't received my passport back,  I have of course called the embassy but every people that I had on the phone told me that it was normal and that I just needed to be patient......

but when i checked my case status it said UPDATE the 11th of february which is 4 days after my interview now if I count 10 buisness days from this date i should have been getting my passport back on the 25th BUUUUUT .... the UPDATE SAYS NOW 24/02/2020

can somebody please tell me what is going on ?

i have called 3 time and one today with the new update, Im starting to imagine that something is wrong and the operators that i have on the phone don't have much info, tell told me no shipping number was added to the case which ment that the passport was still there.
