  1. Is the two biometrics a new thing? My husband only had one biometrics appointment. AOS approved in May of this year. Is it different for K3's? Reason I ask is my husband came on a K1.

My husband came on K1 also...

You can check the biometrics appointment letter to see if it was for EAD, AOS, or both. Code 3 means that the EAD and AOS biometrics were taken at the same time.

going to dig up the biometrics letter now...

  2. Since the EAD was approved, the prior biometrics was for the EAD. It sounds like me that they are waiting for the notice for your AOS biometrics to be mailed to you and once that appointment is completed, they will continue processing the AOS. I wouldn't be surprised if you get that biometrics appointment within the next few days or so.

You mean they have separate biometrics done for AOS & EAD? Seems redundant to me... why wouldn't they use the same one? I had not heard of this before... I mean, people getting 2 separate biometrics appts. We filed everything at the same time. Thanks for your input... I still think it's weird.

  3. I sent an email inquiry about our case about 2 weeks ago. Just got this reply today... What do you make of this?

Mr. S needs to complete the biometrics requirements. An appointment notice will be mailed when the ASC in his area has appointments available. Once the biometrics data captured, his I-485 will be processed. Thank you.

    Subject: Case # MSCXXXXXXX

    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inquire about the status of our I485 (case # MSCXXXXXXX). We received our NOA1 on Feb 8, 2007. It has been almost 5 months since we filed and 3 months since our case was transferred to CSC.

    Here's our timeline so far:

    NOA1 Feb. 8, 2007

    Biometrics Mar 8, 2007

    EAD approved April 17, 2007

    AP approved April 19, 2007

Is there any time frame we can be looking at for approval of the I485? Can we look for approval soon?

    Thank you for your time.

    Mr. & Mrs. S

  4. Hi everyone... I never really followed this thread, well, cuz I wasn't in the "family way" - but now I am!!!! Woo hoo... we are 5 weeks pregnant today. Still early, but there ya go. I've joined the club and we couldn't be more excited. Hubby's got a nice new job too (just in time!).

  5. the way I was reading the consulate site is IF your marriage was witnessed by two muslims then its already valid in Morocco but if not then you will want to get it validated by the consulate

    marriage validation

I htink you are reading that correctly. Now I am confused LOL Anyway I have my marriage certificate with offical government stamps. I am still thining that it might be necessary to go to a court in Morocco- Where is Bosco when we need her??????

    Retired :yes::lol:

  6. The would depend on whether or not Morocco allows dual citizenship or not... You either have it or you don't. Contact the Moroccan Embassy to find out more infomation.

For registration of your child check here http://www.moroccanconsulate.com/childreg.cfm

For your marriage to be valid for Moroccan purposes, it had to be declared to the consulate within three months

  7. I'm a little confused about this issue. I was just about to post a similar topic when I found this one. My husband is Moroccan, I am USC and we currently reside in the US. We have just found out we are pregnant and I was wondering if the child would have dual citizenship? Is it something we "apply" for after birth? Does it happen naturally?

Also, after reading the FAQ listed here and the "Dual Citizenship" portion of the USCIS website, I'm still not clear on whether my husband *can* become a dual citizen if he decides to naturalize. I understand that the US allows it, but I'm not sure of where to find the info if Morocco allows it.

That being said, if there comes a time we decide to live in Morocco (retirement or something), can I become a dual citizen of the US/Morocco? :help:

Any help out there??? Sorry if this is already out there, but I'm just not finding it/getting it. Thanks for any help you all can provide.
