  1. we got married September 15, 2006....MY husband JC filed 130 last March 15,2007 and received NOA1 last March30,2007....approval notice sent-----juLY 17TH 2007, now we are waiting for the case number from NVC...the journey still goES on untill we can be together.

    Jc and Cris

I'm sorry for your wait, Cris... we've certainly been through that part. At least he is here w/ me now and we are merely waiting out permanent residence status. It's just frustrating b/c we've given them what they are requesting, they just don't seem to have it..... :bonk:

  2. Have you gone to the ASC to ensure that the correct receipt number was put on the file they sent?

yes, we did that on July 12. my other thread regarding this matter goes into detail about how not only were they unhelpful (big surprise), but that they were downright RUDE! see here if you're interested:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76836&st=0&p=1031265entry1031265

It astounds me - the lack of consistency in the USCIS system!

  3. I'm just wondering when was the bio appt?

They were done March 8, 2007.

 I'm wondering.... biometrics were done before the transfer - is it at all possible that MSC has the biometrics? It doesn't make sense b/c EAD & AP were both approved thru CSC after biometrics were done.

Why dont you just have them redone.....

    Kez

is it possible to *request* a 2nd set of biometrics... specially if they don't send us an appt for them?

  4. In the continuing saga of the apparently missing biometrics (to complete AOS) ... #######??? :help:

 Another reply from Mr. Chen:

    RE: Case # MSCXXXXXXXXX

    Date: Tue, 24 Jul 2007 15:43:38 -0700

    From: "CSC XII 485" <CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov>

    To: Me

A check of our records show that there is no Mr. S’s biometrics data in California Service Center system. Mr. S must go to the ASC when he receives the appointment notice to have his biometrics captured. Otherwise, his I-551 cannot be produced. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Officer C. Chen

    Congressional & Customer Service Division

    California Service Center

    USCIS/DHS

Please see below for my reply: I don't know what else to do from here....

After receiving your last email, Mr. Chen, we made an infopass appointment w/ the ASC to follow up on his biometrics. We showed our receipt and the officers there informed us that Mr. S's biometrics had indeed been completed and sent to your office. If you do not have the information on record, how can we provide it to you again? The ASC here has verified that it has been completed and sent.

Thank you for any information you could provide us with.

    Sincerely,

    Me

  5. I've been thinking about names. One of my friends has always named her cats "Thank You" in various languages. There were Arigato, Grazie, Merci, etc. I thought that was cool. Maybe we could do some word in Arabic, Italian, whatever... But to find a good word to use....

Oh, and I suppose Wadi might want a say. But I'm ready for a fight.

I vote for "Grits" & "Grillades" (pronounced gree-yads) :P just for a little southern ring to it! :D

  6. Ok, so to add to the weirdness that is already going on .... I recieved this email today in reply to the earlier email Mr. Chen replied to:

Subject: RE: Status Inquiry: Reciept # MSCXXXXXXXXXX

    Date: Thu, 19 Jul 2007 11:36:50 -0700

    From: "CSC XII 485" <CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov>

    To: Me

We apologize for the inconvenience. However, the California Service Center (CSC) no longer accepts inquiries from the general public via email. All inquiries must be submitted to the National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. The National Customer Service Center will route your inquiry to the appropriate USCIS District Office or Service Center , and will track your inquiry to a final resolution. If you've received a transfer notice regarding your case, please inform the National Customer Service Center at the time you submit your inquiry. The National Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, PST.

    What the heck????????????????? :wacko::blink:

  7. I am also self employed and needed "proof" for AOS (married in US). I used a copy of my Certificate of Occupancy (Business Registration). Since it needs to be renewed every year, I included copies of the last 4 yrs even tho I've been in business for 15 yrs. Also, the tax returns would be good to add. Just for the heck of it, I also included my business card and brochure of services.

    Can't help w/ Q#2........

    good luck!

  8. From certain medical standpoints, yes, it's not the best idea for your health. Room temp and warm beverages are much better for your digestion. From studying oriental medicine for a few years, this is a big no-no for them. I highly doubt your healthcare provider would care one way or the other, but ask a DOM (Doctor of Oriental Medicine) and they will tell you to stay away from colder beverages and treats (ice cream, frozen yogurt, etc).

Most of the time, I follow this, but in 110degree weather, I'm digging some chilled water. Normally, I drink room temp tho.

  9. Ok, so, we just returned from a very unproductive trip to ASC, frusrated at the system and a little po'd at the rudeness of the officers we spoke to. We arrived on time w/ all our documentation. Step to the 1st window, the officer looks at the papers, we explain the issue, and she says "Processing takes 18 mos - you just have to wait. We can't file any inquiries until after 18 mos.":help: I explain again abt the biometrics issue (we had them done already, the notice from CSC says they need the bio data. She says, if it's a problem w/ Biometrics, you need to step to window 6. OK... off to window 6 we go. They check into it at window 6, say Biometrics are done already you need to see Window 1 in this office (where we just came from). I tell her that's who just sent us here to see her. She goes back in her little office and then the Window 1 Madam returns to another random window, calls us over and says "I *told* you it takes 18 mos. You just have to wait!"  :help: Resigned to having no help here today, we go to leave, hubby heads to the car, I stop at the restroom. Getting into the elevator w/ me is the Biometrics officer. She says to me "You *didn't* read this correctly. :help: ('scuse me?) Hands me back the email I had printed and brought w/ us and proceeds to tell me that I didn't read it right and they have the info and we've done all we can do, now we have to wait - and she wasn't the least bit pleasant about it. As if I were an idiot!! Then she tells me that I've wasted my time. I replied to her "Clearly I have". This exchange about not reading the email correctly was repeated to me at least 3x even tho I tried explaing to her how it sounded to me. Clearly, in her mind, I f**^$ up.

What now????????????? Seriously, do we *just* wait?

    Don't mess w/ a pregnant woman, dangit!!!!!!!!
