  1. Hello

Quick question. My husband got his green card but was before getting his EAD so he never got a SSN. We call the SSN office and they told us to book an appointment but without a Job offer in hand  is not possible to do so. Anyone with similar experience on this topic?  Anyone knows what to do in the case?

    Thanks for your help

Hi, We submitted our AOS marriage based package 10/08 and haven’t received any notice receipts yet.

We sent certified checks, so is hard to track if money has been collected, but will give a call to the bank to see if the checks have been cashed.

Fedex confirmed delivery to Chicago Lockbox received/signed by a J.Harper.

From what i am reading i should call USCIS after 30 days if no notice of receipts yet?

Are there other suggestions in case i dont hear within 30 days? I guess im just paranoid and looking for suggestions,

    Thank you

We do have kind of the same Waiting time right now.... any news?

We have already applied for my wife's AoS (I-130 and I-485), I-765 and I-131 in September. However, my wife does not have any state ID (Texas). We went to get a state ID today with the Notice of Action (NOA1?) and other appropriate documents with our names and address but they refused it, saying we have to wait for her to receive the SSN until we can apply for her ID.

We have travel plans for December and my wife does not have a government-issued ID. She has her passport but she's already overstayed - can that put her in a potentially unfortunate position while flying?

Well driving could be always an option ;) depending of the distance of course and if you drive.  :D

  4. Hello

Quick question. We're filing out I-485 and I-130 but I can see that the fees on the USCIS calculator ( https://www.uscis.gov/feecalculator)  haven't changed. Anyone knows what fees we have to submit ( Old or new ones)?  It's very confusing with the new injunction. https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-response-to-preliminary-injunction-of-fee-rule

    Thanks

  5. If your K-1 beneficiary moves to another country while the K-1 is in process, how do you make sure the paperwork gets to the new country's consulate? Do you just call the NVC and have them re-route the paperwork to the updated consulate? Is there a fee or more paperwork involved? Can't figure out if this is a relatively simple/straightforward process—regardless of COVID since everything is shut down anyways—or if this is normally a giant pain in the butt to do and would only be worse to do now.

  6. This statement is so blunt for K1's as usual and not further info on the K1 section.

Anyone have more info? in Case :)

Specific Information for Fiancé(e) Visa (K-1) Applicants and Fiancé(e) Visa Holders

Will my fiancé(e) visa case expire?/Can I continue with the application process?

In response to significant worldwide challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of State has temporarily suspended routine visa services at all U.S. embassies and consulates. Therefore, all routine visa processing at U.S. Embassy London is currently suspended.  We are only able to process visas for spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens (IR-1, CR-1, IR-2 or CR-2).  Therefore we are unable to proceed with fiancé(e) visa applications (K-1) at this time. We are taking the issue of fiancé(e) visas seriously and we will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.
