  1. Ah good. That was my next question. So I should just bring my 3yrs taxes to the interview? I don't have 3 statements yet because I got my SSN in January. Had I gotten it 12 days before I'd have 3 years. So I should file early this year I guess.

  2. I sent in my USC packet yesterday. My only problem is that I couldn't get a pencil to write on the back of my photos so I HAD to use a pen. I am expecting an RFE. :/

Aside from that I am excited this is the last $700 I will be giving USCIS. And no more border hassles, yay!

  3. During my previous applications, I listed residences that I lived at and jobs that I worked at for short periods of time. I was a contractor and consultant so I worked for several firms and groups, and moved around a lot (places 2 months at a time)

Do I need to list every residence and address? I didn't keep copies of my past applications and frankly, I forget some of the places I worked since I didn't keep that great of records. I am afraid they will match up past files and see discrepancies or date changes - which in complete honesty are based on my best guesses/memory of where I was and what I was doing at the time. Should I be worried?

  4. That's the thing, you're not debating either. There's nothing TO debate. It's either A) You don't see the connection to a maple leaf and a swastica, or B) You do see a connection

There isn't a ton to discuss. Myself I don't like being compared to a Nazi. My wife is jewish, it hits a nerve.

    You're not debating, you're trolling.

  5. He also believes we are all missing his point, and that we don't "get him"... his soon to be wife agrees with him, so why can't we? He believes that since we do not see his point that we must have our heads up our a$$es.

Little does he know, he is everything he complains about.

Ya we just don't get his sarcastic delivery.

Good thing his wife does.

  6. Cliff Notes: Angry American tries to annoy a forum full of Canadians. Canadians say "Hey, we're just full of pride." American begins ranting and trolling saying that means we are all ignorant and George W Bush supporters.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

  7. It's cool, you're a troll. Every forum has some bored people in it that have nothing better to do than annoy people. You're ours. No hard feelings at all - I feel sorry for you if anything.

  8. I told them about my situation. I just said that I have seen friends and acquaintances get approved in 30-60 days with no issues (some people that filed in January), and yet I have had NO updates since October. I also mentioned it should not be pending FBI namecheck since my last name is the only one in the US.

They sent the letter asking USCIS to explain the delay. Apparently when congress intervenes they can't say "wait 60 days for an update. then wait 90 days from THAT day for a potential update/resolution." they have to find the file and say what is going on. So as soon as they got the letter from the congressman they approved the case.

Just another example of a file sitting at the bottom of a stack of new applications and being ignored/forgotten about.

  9. Well the good news is my ROC was approved. It took about 4 months longer than most others, and while some december/january filers got their approval letters I sat like a lonely October go-er with no news.

My congressman wrote a letter on my behalf to USCIS, and 2 days after USCIS received the letter, my case was approved. Thank you 48th district John Campbell for your assistance.

That being said, my Visa/Immigration journey is not yet complete. I will be filing my N-400 in October. So you haven't gotten rid of me!

  10. I weighed in at 380lb about 7 years ago. I lost 180lb in about a year and a half. I've managed to keep it all off but I go up and down from 205-245 it seems. Right now I am in the middle at 225-230 and I have been sitting here for awhile. I lost 20lb from August to November, so that helps.

I want to lose another 20 over the next while. But my main goal is being healthy and being able to go on my hikes, kayak and scuba dive with no issues. I don't need to be in Marine combat shape but I am tired of being out of shape.
