  1. Thank you everyone for all your guidance. Much appreciated. She’ll apply for ESTA ASAP and I’ll have her parents consent with me during our travels. And She’ll have her return ticket with her. This is exciting trip indeed! Do you think it’s beneficial for me to bring my bank statement/tax return during travel to show to Immigration officer that I can support her travel if asked just to be prepare? Do I need to bring my birth certificate or hers to show that I am her real Aunt? (Sounds a little extreme haha)

  2. Thank you all for the reply. I don’t mean to confused anybody. I know ESTA visa will allow her to stay for 90 days and we don’t intend to maximize the stay. She will come in USA when summer vacation starts and will come back before she will start college in the PH. She is with her parents and sibling in the PH.

We know about ESTA because his father did it. I am just looking for additional informations other than the ESTA visa because I will be her companion coming to America and the one who will provide the treat. Thank you.

Children under 18 may need a Letter of Consent to travel internationally without both parents.

the main concern at embassy interview and at CBP here in the states is human trafficking and the need to protect those most vulnerable/ this is a concern for embassy to approve even if she turns 18

NO problem in getting parental consents.

Firstly WVP/ESTA is maximum 90 days stay, not 3 months.

If she has not yet applied for ESTA she should do that asap, no point even thinking about anything else until she has that approved.

Is she not studying? 3 month away from PH is a long time for a student aged person. I would assume that would be her strongest tie to PH?

If she is traveling by herself, for the first time, then she will need to convince them in PH at the airport to let her travel as there is the possibility of being offloaded. She should have to hand documents to show who she is visiting, such as copy of your passport, AoS that her expenses will be covered etc. PH is very strict when it comes to allowing young females to travel abroad alone for first time.

I understand fully about 90 days ESTA visa and knowledgeable about it. It's an easy, quick online process. We are not worried about this.

She's studying and she will be back in the PH. She is just visiting as our reward for her for being a great student.

She is not traveling alone - she's traveling with me (her aunt).

My husband and I will cover all her expenses while visiting US.

  5. Hello,

Can you please guide me on what I should know accompanying my niece traveling to USA?

    I am US Citizen.

My niece was born in the Philippines. She has Filipino passport and British Passport on hand. She will apply for ESTA Visa for her to stay in USA for 3 month. This will be her first time to travel abroad. She will visit America as tourist, staying with us (Aunt and uncle). She is 17 years old. Is there anything else that immigration officer might ask from her?

Thank you for your advice. :)

I saw on post on FB group someone saying that US Embassies are reopening to full services. Anyone has info on this? My country still implements Community Quarantine ☹️ so I doubt that they will resume all visa routine services.

I think Manila US Embassy is still not resuming full visa services according to their website. :(

  7. Hello everyone. My parents documents DQ's yesterday! Yey!

Is anyone of you know how far can you reschedule an immigration interview once you receive an appointment?

I want to accompany my parents during their interview in the Philippines. But my husband and I might be in Europe during that time. I want to know if we can reschedule an appointment interview maybe after a month of the original interview date?

    Thanks for the inputs!

Hi everyone. Can anyone highlight where I can get information on i130 application, the AOS and the necessary documents for the application. Planning to apply for my dad. Thanks

    Hello,

You can see the documents on the website below (under Step 7. Civil Documents, click the Documents Finder and select the country on the left).

  9. I am so appreciative of the informative and caring comments so far.  I would like to bring this discussion back away from addressing scammers and the like to anyone else that can offer information directly related to the topic from their direct experience or knowledge that can be of additional help related to my first posts on this topic.

There is no question that the man involved is the father.  My friend (and I) remain positive and hopeful, since the father seems well established in his community in the Philippines and is as such known and reachable.  My friend is working with an attorney in the Philippines to address paternity (which the father must declare with his signature in filing CRBA paperwork - and likely will need to be proven via DNA test) as part of the ongoing efforts to seek citizenship for my friend's daughter.  The main challenge is convincing the father to finally do something right in support of his child who is a delightful, smart, well behaved young lady.

    Child support would help.

Is his name on the birth certificate, did they do a DNA test, how has he acknowledged her as his child.

    Thank you for responding.

There is no child support. He is a deadbeat dad.

His name is not on the birth certificate. No DNA test done. He acknowledge the child "verbally" when the child was 2 years old but then gone again.

We have a family law attorney in the Philippines but she isn't a specialist in immigration/citizenship law. We are ready to put pressure to the deadbeat dad but we want/need to know what he will need to do for citizenship paperwork, proof, etc. (So we can push him with those specifics) - We seek legal expertise re all that is required for proof and paperwork.

We are seeking an immigration/citizenship attorney that can help with the evidence and paperwork needed.

In the past we used Mac Ellis who is recommended through visajourney but he doesn't seem to be active anymore.

You need to prove paternity which is unlikely unless he cooperates and takes responsibility

Thanks for responding. Please see my response above.

  11. Please help if you are knowledgeable about this case. Here's the situation.

I am US citizen and I am helping my Filipina friend who got pregnant to an American man and abandoned her 10 years ago.

My friend is a Filipino citizen, single parent and currently living in the Philippines with her daughter (10 years old).

10 years ago, she met an American man and stayed together until they learned that she was pregnant and the American man left and never seen again. The American man didn't give any support to my friend and her daughter since my friend was pregnant up to now. They are not married.

We want to know what steps/guidance my friend can do to for her daughter to get her citizenship. My friend knows where the location of the American man in the Philippines. He has his own family now and lives in Visayas area. We want to know what documents or process to expect in order for the daughter to become US Citizen.

Thank you for helping. This is a big help for the 10 year old girl to have a better future. My friend is not after the financial support. She are after the child citizenship (which is the child's right).

  12. Hi guys, I need your guidance please. I am working on the affidavit of support for my parents. I am self-employed and not making enough income. My husband and I filed joint tax returns and he is the main source of income. What forms do we need to submit? We did our research and we learned that I need to fill out the I-864 form and my husband needs to fill out the I-864a. In addition, we will submit the Tax Return Transcripts. Is this correct? I appreciate your response and letting me know about your experience. Thank you guys.
