    what if we break it up? Like come back in October for a week and in December for a few weeks… would that be considered permanence outside the US? Can you do short trips for a few months at a time and it not be considered “permanence” outside? thanks for all your help!

    Hello Community! My wife is pregnant with twins and I’ve just secured a job in her home country. We should be gone for about a year. We want to do the process (i131) right and ask for the travel document before leaving if possible. We need to go back because we don’t have any support here and we already have one child. My question is do we: 1. Do the application online 2. Mail it in 3. do the application abroad when we get to her home country thanks! Any advice is appreciated!!

    Not a lot of those options but thanks….. you have to have daycare Before you go to work btw.

    Can you mess up your spouse’s green card holder status if your family gets public/govt assistance like for daycare? We’ve moved to a new city and my wife wants to work but we don’t have enough for daycare and wanted to know what the possibilities are. I specifically remember something like immigrants can’t get assistance from the govt or something like that. Is that accurate? Thanks so much for your help!!
