Ok, well, on some levels I understand your predicament (the need to ditch corrupt politicians is univeral). However, I can't imagine you can be too proud of your choice now? I mean, this guy is a complete wack job. I listened to this guy before he was elected and thought he was bad for the Brazilian people (and I don't even have a vested interests in Brazil). No person (especially politicians) that eschews bigotry, hatred, racism and all such twisted inert views are ever transcended to great leaders (let alone good).

It is unfortunate (and truly sad on a monumental level because your leader's utter nuttiness is causing COVID-19 to genocide the indigenous, native Brazil tribes) and while I hope I am wrong, it appears your country's COVID-19 infection and death rate is going to surpass the good old US of A.

By the way...what will you (and your countrymen) do when you have allowed Bolsonaro to destroy your most precious resource -- the Amazon rain forest? What a world we live in today!

im not proud of voting on him....but in my opinion the other guy was worse.

anyway, there is no way to fix brazil, its a country very poor and totally corrupted in all levels.

Im Brazilian and I dont think Brazil will ever be a serious country

I dont love countries, I love people!

Hey JeanneAdill...what I've been perplexing over from since Bolsonaro got elected was...why did the Brazilian people put this...this character in power? How in the world did that happen?

I voted for bolsonaro, because the other candidate was from a side with comunist ideas that rules brazil in the last 15 years and destroyed the brazilian economy stealing all our money, the most corruption scandal in brazil history

this is why we voted for Bolsonaro

he has a smart mouth, but while media and TV attack him, the governors and mayors steal all the money......

  3. Trump just announced:

    Quote

"I have determined that it is in the interests of the United States to take action to restrict and suspend the entry into the United States, as immigrants or nonimmigrants, of all aliens who were physically present within the Federative Republic of Brazil during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the United States," the proclamation reads in part.

Are GC holders affected by those travel bans?

Did you apply for a re-entry permit before you left the US? Are you back in the US now? If so, did you encounter any issues entering? Just thinking you might be at risk for losing your LPR status.

yes, im back, no issues at all.....CBP did not give me any problems...even after a 9 months absence

Probably as good a chance as any assuming you have enough evidence of a bonafide marriage.

    Good Luck!

im worried about the long period outside the US. 😕

  6.

Dear VJs , please help a friend out.

I have a 13-14 months absence of the US as a Conditional Resident ( overseas getting medical treatment )

I want to apply for ROC with the Divorce Waiver.

Im not divorced yet, but there is NO chance Im going back to him . My marriage was real but it became a nightmare. I was verbally abused, mentally tortured, cheated on, and God knows what else that man did to me.

I decided to put an END on that last week after he started the verbally abuse again.

1- Do I have chances of getting the ROC approved even with my long absences outside the country????

2- I have hundreds of proofs of bona fide marriage, proofs of the abuse, the cheating, etc.

    Thank you :)

  7.

So, Im about to send my paperwork for Removal of Conditions soon ( Divorce waive ) - and even though I have enough proof of bona fide marriage, etc. There 's always the risk of the application been denied, right?

I know its not advised that you travel / stay outside the US while your case is pending, but I am gonna have to spend 1-2 weeks outside America, every 2 or 3 months ( because of work  ).

So what happens if Im in FRANCE, for example,  and I receive an update saying that my case is denied???

Im not allowed back in the US, or can I still go back and try to do something about it???

    tsk

  8.

So my financial situation right now is not the best, me and my husband used a lot of credit cards in 2018, he got sick, he  was not working. I was taking care of everything, but things just got out of control. My credit is really bad right now, and to make the things worse we are getting divorced.

There is no way Im gonna be able to fix my financial situation this year, and Im stuck in a 12 months leasing paying rent that I can barely afford.

My conditional green card expires in July and Im about to start the divorce procedures next week.

My question is if my financial situation ( debts ) gonna affect my removal of conditions application, specially because Im using a divorce waiver????

( I never applied for any government help, food stamps. nothing... my debts are all credit cards/paypal. and I never asked for any benefit from the government.)
