If you already paid all fees at the NVC stage, no need to pay visa fee at the embassy.  Medical fee is paid at SLEC or through their bank payment facility.  Maybe the friend was talking about the immigrant fee (for the plastic green card)?  That needs to be paid to USCIS online after getting the visa on hand.

Thanks for the information. Know about the $220 green card fee at USICS. She was talking about a interview fee at the embassy. All fees have been paid at NVC since last year.

  2. My wife just talked to her friend who has recently had an interview at the US Embassy Manila who told her that an interview fee is required by the embassy. I filed the papers via USICS and NVC paying all the required fees each step of the way, now she is hearing that there will be additional fees at the embassy. Any thoughts or recent experiences with this matter?

  3. Well NCV will hold the documents with them until USEM tells them that they are ready for a certain date set  of documents. As to when, who knows I have been DQ since July 27th and they ae still with NVC. 18 months since filing the I-130 all I can say this whole process takes lots of patience.

  4. Just a bit of news from CNBC:

An administration official familiar with the plans had said earlier the order would be focused on preventing people from winning permission to live and work in the U.S. That would include those seeking employment-based green cards and relatives of green card holders who are not citizens. Americans who wish to bring immediate family to the country would still be able to do so, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity before the plan was announced. About one million people were granted green cards last year.

GCP is for spouses and fiance of foreign citizens (USA).    You have been married to your wife for 18 years or she was married to a foreigner once before?

PDOS is for all others (including OFW)

Yes 18 years in 2 months. Lived in the Philippines until 2 years ago. Her CFO was to join me in Korea but it was for travel to the United states

  6. My wife has her counseling paper from 2002. Just wondering if she will need to attend another one to be able too emigrate out of the country.  Anyone have any insight on this issue?

  7. Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On February 27, 2020, we sent your case, Receipt Number LIN199, to the Department of State for visa processing. You can find general information on Consular Processing by visiting our website at www.uscis.gov . The website will provide information on what to do next, who to contact, and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address.

Most everyone goes to Nvc for the Visa, says here that it has been sent to DOS for visa processing.

    Any ideas on this?
