  1. Thanks for the offer, but I try to keep my wife away from kids as much as possible. Those things are contagious. You and I would enjoy a nice round of golf followed by reeling in a few lunkers and then the next day I'd wake up with a white stick and a blue + in my face.

I'm not so sure that came out exactly as you intended.

Oh, I think it did :ot2: Vika has no need or desire to drive now, but recognizes that driving is part of life here. I also have a sixteen year old. Hopefully I can find an insurance company with a volume discount.

Oooooo... a volume discount would be nice. My wife and her 17-yr-old son both knew how to drive before they came here. I try not to think too much about how the 17-yr-old picked up his driving experience. He now has his learner's permit and will be going for the real deal (full license) next month. Natalia is driving on her international license with no problems. Both of them drive well although the 17-yr-old scared me a little when he off-handedly commented, "I will show them the meaning of Russian speed!". If you learn about any volume discounts let me know.

  2. Korat,

I won't comment on your accusations about this girl, only to say that I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the gist of your account was true; girls like this are all too common in the MOB world but most guys involved are afraid to look behind the mirrors.

That said, I think you should take a step back and analyze your own behavior. Don't you think it's odd that years after this woman screwed you over, you're still tracking her every move? Do you think you come off as rational when you pry into her personal life and seek out snitches like hospital workers and bank managers?

And most of all: do you really think anyone here believes you're doing it to protect other men? Here's a bulletin for you: you're doing it for yourself (although I'm sure on some level you know that).

Nadya may have screwed you over and part of your motivation is surely revenge, but no one would hang on this long unless they were lovesick. I've met guys like you before, and the unspoken motivation obvious to anyone but him is, "if I can't have her, no one else will." There's also the (ridiculous to anyone but you) notion that you are somehow responsible for her behavior because you "spoiled" her long ago, and thus feel a guilty responsibility to protect other guys from her. So noble of you! But the white armor you're flashing to everyone here is actually the emperor's new clothes; or better yet, the armor is a sad green mix of envy, jealousy, bitterness, and unrequited love.

And you accuse Kurt of living in a fantasy world??? :bonk:

One question: does your current "fiancee" know that you track your ex's every move and sabotage her attempts at scamming others? I'd bet my next paycheck that she has no idea about your crusade and no matter how much you've managed to deceive yourself about your motivations, you are wily enough to keep this off her radar because you know she'd dump you if she saw how obsessed you are with Nadya. Sound about right?

Dude, get over her, move on or you'll drown in your own bilious poison.

Wow...... gone for a couple of months helping the new family settle in.... and I stumble across this. I agree with everything said in the above post. Paul/Korat - you are still obsessing over Nadya whether you recognize it or not. I truly pity your current GF. As for Kirk, he has always struck me (and still strikes me) as well-balanced and non-delusional although his VJ did not work out. He has moved on. You on the other hand need some really deep pyschological counseling. It is fortunate for you that Nadya is still in Russia or you would certainly have some type of restraining order placed against you.

NEW SUBJECT: Some of you have mentioned that you would like to see some wife/fiancee posts. It would certainly be fun to see Slim's wife come out of hiding and post here. My wife has posted here once. She has now been in the USA 4 months and is friends with a russian gal that has been here 2 months. We are going to their wedding on Saturday. It was interesting hearing them speak of the ups and downs of adjusting to life here in the USA. Would you like me to see if my wife Natalia would be willing to post here again?

  3. Just curious...has anyone heard from this person? She ducked out a couple of days ago and seemed a little upset. She may be wrong and have her head on all screwy, but she left rather abruptly...or maybe she's just not in the fighting mood

She left. Just as well. I think Osiris is better off remaining in the underworld than hanging out with this neurotic self-absorbed woman. Also, does anyone here seriously think her "Ex" has interest in rekindling what must have been a very troubled relationship?

  4. Kind of a sad thread. Sure Russian women want financial stability and the chaos of Russia in the 1990's, for those that remember those times, probably heightened this need........... much like it did for a generation of Depression era American women. As for the "gold-digging", this has always been present in all cultures has long as man has been on the face of this planet. In fact, in Victorian times, most English women married exactly for position and wealth. There was no secret about it. This was understood and expected by both sexes.

All I can say is that as the years tick by, financial stability becomes a very hollow substitute if love and passion is not present in the marriage.

  5. Hahaha..... yes...... I can see it now. "What are doing sooo long at the computer my American husband?" "Ohhhh...... nothing much. Just researching babes online." Then comes the ice pick in the ear. :bonk:

No, you have to say it's for shopping. "Moy muzh, what are you doing online?"

"Get out of here, I'm buying you stuff and I want it to be a surprise. It's taking so long because I'm trying to find exactly the right thing."

"Why are you looking at beautiful models?"

"Research, honey. Research. I have to look at all of them in order to find the right one for you. I love you."

Yeah, that oughtta work. If not, just pull the helicopter routine.

And here at our house, I bought a SOG/Fusion "tactical tomahawk" over the weekend. Needless to say, it's not the ice pick I'm fearing anymore.

    :lol::lol::lol:

  6. Well the store is called "Bebe," not "Bebe Sport"...

And if you guys aren't sure who Eva Longoria is..... you better find out. You'll also need to do some back-reading on the cast of Sex & the City, Desperate Housewives, Dom 2, and a few of the Telenovelas from South America - Diki Angel seems to be a favorite. YouTube that stuff. You may just be "entertained" yourself. Remember, it's all for "research" purposes, should anyone ask.

Hahaha..... yes...... I can see it now. "What are doing sooo long at the computer my American husband?" "Ohhhh...... nothing much. Just researching babes online." Then comes the ice pick in the ear. :bonk:

  7. I have been out of circulation so long I had to look up your reference to "Bebe Sport" on the internet......... didn't know what it was. :P

You'll find out all about it when she gets here. In actuality, it's probably one of the better stores for her to shop in. It's a bit pricey, but the clothes are very "fashionable" and still feature something most American women's clothing stores do not; shape.

As far as my rotor turning counter-clockwise like Elfin's, I can assure you there's only one direction...wait a minute. I was just talking about fashionable clothes with a nice shape. Oh no.

Well, Eva Longoria is their new model, so ha! Anyone's rotor turning that way would be like, "Eww. Gross. Look how unattractive she is." (There's no way I said any of that! I said, "You would look so good in that, honey!")

I am truly out-of-touch and pathetic. I had to look up "Eva Longoria" also because I did not know who she was............. but it was a nice lookup though. Hahaha....... did not think that your rotor and the Elf-man's swang in the same way ...... but thanks for the "cute clothes tip" all the same. We will check out Bebe Sport when she gets here.

  8. Ah, I see. For a moment I thought maybe they'd even be on the same plane. But I'm pretty sure Sasha's flight is direct from SVO to JFK. Well, its still pretty neat. The same day has great significance for all of us.

Depending on what time Sasha's plane arrives at JFK, they may be hanging out in the VISA processing line together.

True. She gets into NY at about 7:15pm.

OOoops....... too late. Nata and her son leave JFK for Portland at 6:55 pm. Anyway...... a big congratulations and happy reunion at JFK. Are you flying or driving down to Virginia?

Funny you should ask. I was originally going to drive up to JFK and then drive back the next day. Giving us one night to rest  in a hotel. However, after a bit of investigating, I discovered buying 3 tickets was cheaper than the gas and tolls to get there and back. Unbelievable! (1 one way to JFK, 2 one way tickets back to RIC) I've never seen prices this low. I mean 65 bucks per ticket was just too good to pass on. And this cost would have equaled the fee for her extra luggage weight on a domestic ticket, had she needed. Instead, I will fly and arrive in NY an hour before she arrives. I'm going with 2 empty suitcases. Then we can simply split her luggage up and each take 2 cases and her carry-ons. In a way, its like I'm getting to tag along for free really. AND I get to be there when she comes out of customs. She loves long road trips. I drove to NY before to pick her up and we had a great time. So, in a small way, she's bummed that we wont have this long drive. But not me! Saved my truck the trip. I dont have to leave for NY until that evening, as opposed to early morning. Her flight is direct from SVO to JFK. So, we'll both be fairly fresh and alert to better enjoy each other's company on the 1.5 hour flight to Richmond. There were just too many pros to one con. A no brainer. So, to answer your question...I'm flying :D

EXCELLENT ............ with a deal like that I would be flying to JFK also. ;)

  9. Yesssssss..... one can only imagine the shock and bitter disappointment upon learning that the border guard was not actually a young man. ;)

Hey...are you saying Slim's rotors rotate counter-clockwise?!?!?! Say it aint so!

Hahaha...... I was talking about Elfin John........ unless Slim tells us differently.

  10. Ah, I see. For a moment I thought maybe they'd even be on the same plane. But I'm pretty sure Sasha's flight is direct from SVO to JFK. Well, its still pretty neat. The same day has great significance for all of us.

  12. Slim, tell us the truth....you went back in time 30 years to rescue your wife from Siberia didnt you??

It's true, and this footage of Slim in a convertable proves it. (and you thought time machines just came in DeLorean's...)

Yesssssss..... one can only imagine the shock and bitter disappointment upon learning that the border guard was not actually a young man. ;)

  13. For us, it was mostly filling out a bunch of tedious forms and waiting.

Speak for yourself, buddy. I rescued my wife from a harsh life of waiting in line for bread, working 14-hour shifts in the tank factory seven-days-a-week, and walking through two meters of snow while being bothered by alcoholics that would try to rape her.

I did her a favor. I should get a medal too. If it wasn't for me and guys like me (not just the guys who did some *whooptidy-freakin-doo* tedious forms) who go over there and literally scoop these girls up off the streets and put them into nice apartments with heat and running water and a stove, then there would be a whole country full of gorgeous women that would have to fend for themselves, never knowing the joy and elation of finally seeing what the inside of Bebe Sport looks like.

Give me a medal? Give me a break. The Nobel prize would be more fitting.

(Oh, and congrats, by the way! Not on the visa, but on getting the tickets changed with no hassles! You should get a medal for that!)

Hahaha...... Slim........ you joker. I can almost hear the Molotov cocktails come crashing through your windows now as a sea of patriotic Russian women take up arms after reading your post. Or worse....... maybe your love does a Bobbitt job and "de-helicopters" you in the dead of night. Could happen. More than one German soldier woke up with his you know what missing. Oooooo mannnnnnnnnnnnnn........ I have been out of circulation so long I had to look up your reference to "Bebe Sport" on the internet......... didn't know what it was. :P

  14. :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

    GOOD DAY!!!

    IT's me- NATALIA!!!

Thank you to everyone for congraduation, for help and hope. (L)

Interview really was more easy than I thought. Like you already know just 3 questions, also she (consul) found in her PC information that I have been in USA at april-may 2006 with B1/B2 visa and she liked that.

Buck did not write here that I got my DHL mail with passports and visas very soon - 6 march ( 3 days after interview). WOW!

I have just two weeks and will come to my love Buck))) LA LA LA LA) and 306 days of waiting does not seem so terrible now)

What feelings do I have now? MIX- happiness that soon I will be with my Buck and 3 years of waiting are now behind us, but also I feel sad about my parents, friends, job. Most - about parents. Couse I do not know when I will see them next time. And I just can pray that God will keep them in health.

So just one more step and I will be with my Buck!

The path for each of us (me, Buck, all of you) was not easy. I want to keep the memory of our journey for many long years. It will help us always to remember how much we can be strong if we are together...... and weak if we are alone.

GOOD MOOD!!!! GOOD NEWS!!!GOOD LUCK!!!!!:yes::yes:

  15. Yeah Buck! You two must be ecstatic! When are they planning on coming to the USA?

March 24 is the day......... although I did an American durak thing when I originally scheduled the flight and only allowed them an hour to change planes at Sheremetyevo airport. Natalia very politely told me that I was insane if I thought that they could transfer from Sheremetyevo 1 to Sheremetyevo 2, go through customs, and check their luggage in under an hour. She was right of course but I was able to correct the error and reschedule the first leg of the journey without too much difficulty. :P

    Buck

Sasha is arriving the same day! March 24th. Is Natalia going to JFK as well? I'm flying to JFK to meet her, then we're flying straight to Richmond together. congratulations again! Just 2 more weeks.

Yep............. JFK via Moscow with a connection in Prague.

  16. You are my hero, I want to follow in your footsteps. So, don't leave us because you are successful and I wanna be that too. Congratulations

Thanks for the compliment (and the congratulations) but, in my opinion, all of us are heros for enduring this Visajourney process. Not only that but all our fiancees should get a special medal for bravery for leaving family, friends, home, country and their native tongue to be with us. For us, it was mostly filling out a bunch of tedious forms and waiting. For them, they had to literally "jump in the deep end of the pool" with only their faith in us to sustain them......... that we would always love them, be faithful and do our best to be good spouses. Someone on this forum said it best earlier: The road is long and difficult but the rewards can be very high indeed for those that endure. Amen to that.

    Buck

  17. Yeah Buck! You two must be ecstatic! When are they planning on coming to the USA?

  18. And a few posts back I was reading something about having ground clearance issues and what woul.... does anyone smell that.... smells like bulls#!t in here all of the sudden. Anyway, what was I saying?

Hey man...who smelt it dealt it. :D

(Also, the man who I would least suspect launched a pretty good surprise attack on me. I am properly put back in my place. )

hahaha........ just some good natured joking.......... and you will note that I never said that my legs were any longer.

  19. Hahahaa.... I think that's the general idea. Those of us less physically gifted will need to think of something different to put our SO's in the mood.

Ahhhhhh....well this might have been why I had such a hard time understanding the reference. See, I just don't have the ground clearance to "helicopter."

Aaaaaahhhhh..... OK...... 2 inch legs...... gotcha. ;)

  20. Point and grunt works for getting some, but being able to say "smotri moy vertolyot" puts her in the mood a lot faster.

"Stand in my helicopter?" Swear to god I'll never understand Russian women, but hey, if that's what gets her in the mood...

maybe slim can swing it around like it's gonna take off

Hahahaa.... I think that's the general idea. Those of us less physically gifted will need to think of something different to put our SO's in the mood.

  21. смотреть is infinitive. "смотр" apparently means "review; parade, show; inspection," so смотры would be the plural of that, not a verb form.

Gotcha. I have смотры written down on a word list I made some time ago, but didn't write down tense.

Basically I'm now convinced that Slim is into aviation voyeurism. A very niche fetish, but hey, we're not here to judge.

Wowwwww......... nice to see that the thread has become friendly again. Olga..... pleasure to hear from you. Sat........ still don't know what you were thinking but that, apparently, is in the past now.

At present, my use of russian language is strictly limited to writing disgusting phrases on the golf balls of my friends....... but I hope to learn more when Natalia arrives. ;)

    Buck

  22. I just received a phone call from a very happy Natalia, exiting the Moscow Consulate, saying that the visa was approved for her and her 17-year-old son Artem. The interview took approximately 5 minutes and consisted of 3 questions. For those that are interested, here are the questions:

Q1. How did you meet? [Answer: Natalia explained how we met.]

Q2. You have a very high position here in Russia. (Natalia is the head of the legal department for a large company). It is unlikely that your work in the USA will be at such a high level. How do you feel about that and what do you plan to do for work after you arrive in America? [Answer: Natalia honestly replied that are already people wishing to interview her in the USA after she arrives given her expertise in Russian trade and tax law. Finding decent work in the USA should not present a problem for her once she is legally authorized to work here.]

Q3. Did your fiancee visit you in Russia? [Answer: I visited her in August which satisfied them.]

That was it......... 5 minutes and out. There were no questions directed to her 17-year-old son. They merely took his fingerprints.

All-in-all it was a little anti-climactic after all the waiting and worry.......... but it sure is good to have that behind us now. I am sure that the euphoria will sink in after a day or 2.

A special "thank you" to all those that have been supporting us these many many months. It was certainly a roller-coaster ride sometimes as we were probably in the bottom 10% in terms of waiting time. Hahahaha.......... Kazan Tiger (Jeffrey & Alla) intentionally postponed their interview a couple of months and they still almost beat us. Oh well..... what's a few extra months of waiting in the big scheme of things when you are talking about a life-time commitment? We are just happy that it is drawing to a close.

We wish you all the best.

    Buck & Natalia

  23. I'm glad it went well, Buck and Natalia, especially since we've all read bad things about AOM.

I thought that it was MOM that had the bad rap. I have only heard good things about AOM.

This was my understanding as well.

Me too.......... as I recall, MOM was the clinic that had all the negative feedback about rude staff and doctors making derogatory comments about female body parts and doing gratuitous breast "exams".

  24. Very tragic. Extremely sad posts. Other VJ'ers offerred what little moral support they could to these poor souls in extreme pain. They tried to do the same for Satellite until being informed that they were "suckers." Given that there has been genuine such posts in the past, Satellite's conduct amounted to shouting "Fire" in crowded theater. Just as sociopaths do this in a crowded theater to see how the crowd reacts........ Satellite or his wife (who can believe them now?) did this to see how the VJ'ers would react.

    Buck

    Good grief!

Yeah, I'll bet they did it to weed out those who are the most insecure of VJ'ers.

How is offering sympathy and support to person you think is in pain "insecure"? Are you "insecure" merely because you did not realize that the alleged person in pain was lying to you? Pirates in the Indian Ocean do the same thing by sending out a fake distress signal. Are those that respond to the distress signal and are subsequently murdered "insecure"?
