  1. You’re welcome! Hopefully it will be a safe and smooth travel for you guys.
  2. Hello again everyone! Just to update, we are able to book our tickets! Woohoo! We ended up booking directly with the airline BUT I will not be able to do that without all the tips and suggestions on where and how to look. I found the flight we want through Kayak but instead of booking with different agencies that offer deals, I went to the airline’s website and tried if I can book it with them directly and I was able to. So after 3 years, we are going home to Ph! Thank you for all the tips and suggestions! They all helped me a lot and will surely be part of my flight searching arsenal haha! God bless you all!
  3. I actually tried this but no luck with nearby airports. But this is actually a good hack and will always use this as an alternative when looking for flights. Thank you!
  4. Hello! I agree and as much as it’s the prices are lower, the risk is not worth it specially when traveling with children. That’s why we just waited and kept looking and fortunately able to buy through the airline. This is what my husband and I are worried about. If it’s just the two of us we really don’t care but we have a kid so not gonna risk it.
  5. Hello everyone! Just saw this info and wanna share here. “International travelers entering the Philippines may now access the new eTravel portal. According to the Department of Tourism, the Bureau of Information will discontinue the use of the One Health Pass website and the paper Arrival Card starting December 5, 2022. Upon entering the Philippines, all travelers, foreign and local, including infants and children, are required to provide arrival and health information through the etravel.gov.ph portal starting December 2. The new portal will provide an electronic travel card, replacing the One Health Pass.” Source: https://www.technobaboy.com/2022/12/03/etravel-portal-replaces-onehealthpass-for-ph-travelers/
  6. Hello! That's a good tip. Will do that next time we plan to go home and have plenty of time. Thank you! Hi! I keep tracking flights on GF too and they just keep going up. That's a lot of miles but glad it worked for you. We need to start earning miles lol Hello! I see a good deal for March but it's through Skyscanner. Will wait until Friday to see if we can score a good deal for the month of Feb. Absolutely with you on booking directly with the airline to avoid problems. We used to do that pre-covid but they are more expensive these days. Thank you! Will be flying from DTW and also don't want over 30 hours of travel time per leg of the flight because we have a toddler. I will keep checking all the websites mentioned here and will also try Edge. Thank you so much! Thank you everyone for helping me out. Appreciate your suggestions!
  7. Hello! I have google flights tracker notification so when there’s changes I see it. Thank you for confirming this is a good idea. Have a great day!
  8. Hello! I will check skycanner again and will do your booking hack. Appreciate it so much. We really wanna go home so this helps a lot. Have a great day!
  9. Thank you! Will surely try Kiwi.com and I agree that the longer we wait it just keeps getting high. Last week we found a $3400 round trip ticket and my husband and I wanna punch our faces for not booking that right away. But back then we were waiting for the approval of his vacation so 🤷🏻‍♀️. Appreciate your tip! Have a great day!
  10. Hello it’s me again (I hope I’m not annoying you guys). I’ve been looking at plane tickets and they are still pretty expensive. I am not an experience international traveler so Idk where to properly look at. I just wanna ask if you know any tips or suggestions on how we can score affordable tickets. I’m flying with my husband and our toddler and hopefully fly this Feb. I’ve checked Kayak and other websites but I just want extra tips from you all. Right now tickets range around 6k for all of us. And sadly that’s way out of our budget. Thank you!
  11. Hi! Did they give you a certification that it was administered there? Thank you!
  12. Hello helpful people of VJ! I’m sorry if this has been asked but I can’t find the answer. I just want a confirmation that we can do this antigen test at any place that can certify that it was done by a healthcare professional. I’m wondering if Walgreens or Kroger can do this or we need to go to our drs? Thank you!
  13. Thanks for your response! This is what I know but the official websites mentioned above by other helpful members don’t mention this enough on their website. At least I know now I’m not imagining things that a 5-day quarantine and negative test is still required to be allowed in Ph. We are doing the same too! It sucks to not be able to go home yet but quarantine will waste most of my husbands time off so we are just waiting it out so we are just traveling domestic. Thank you for the replies everyone! God bless you all!
  14. Thanks for this! I checked their website too and just like the Loren Y’s reply it still shows we can’t get in.
  15. Thank you for your response! This was from the US Embassy website right?
  16. Hello! I know this has been discussed here before but I can’t find the most current discussion here and tried researching online but most are confusing infos. I’m looking for an up to date reliable website/info to check for travel requirements for unvaccinated foreign spouse/children and filipino national traveling to Philippines. Thank you in advance!
