Congratulations!!!!!!!
I booked mine for March too! Got my P4 this morning from the consulate.
Question, do we need both the I-134 and 1-864? It says this on the packet but they are both affadavit of supports?
Thanks!

Interview booked for March! 🤗
Congrats! When did you receive your P4... I’m still waiting on mine and my documents were sent the same day to the consulate as you.
I haven’t heard a response from the consulate since Monday and have sent a few emails. I am stressed now...

You're probably a little early. I had my first ready on Jan 9th (case created Oct 8th), and then the date on the ready changed to Jan 22nd. So maybe, 10 ish days after the current ready date, it'll change, then try to resend your P3 then.
Hmm, the date has changed since the first ready to Jan 30th which is today’s date and it says I can book my interview but of course they tell me otherwise and I haven’t received packet 3!
oh well, hopefully soon!

Finally got my P4! I can book my interview!
@aml16, I'm long overdue, though. You might just need to wait for one more CEAC 'ready' message. When did the consulate get your case?
What does the second ready show? Mine already says I can book my interview. Says case created January 9th.
Congrats on your P4!!

Congrats! I hope the turn around to having a visa in hand is quick!
"Thank you for this inquiry.
Please be advised that you are not eligible at this time to schedule an appointment until you receive instructions from the visa unit to do so."
I sent in Packet 3 and this is the response I got, has anyone received an email like this?

The NVC recieved our approved case on Dec. 23rd, 2019. It was a nice early christmas present. She's from Ontario, we tried to get it done in Toronto but it got sent to Montreal instead, called in about it and they said there isn't an embassy in Toronto (weird cause google says otherwise).
Thanks for the extra info, we're starting the police report stuff today and looks like immunizations will take 7 buisiness days.
Also wow the birth certifcate thing we totally would've got caught on, thank you so much!
There are other embassies but Montreal is the only one that does k-1 visas! I tried to travel to Calgary lol but have to go to Montreal as well which is so far for me.
No problem! It’s a lot and so crazy that they don’t really guide you in it all, so it’s helpful to have these forums.
Good luck!

Hi everyone and congrats on so much progress!
My first post here. I really wish I found this forum sooner, so much needed information. My fiance and I are in the final stretch of the K-1 where we have the P3 from the Montreal Consulate and are trying to collect documents for it (we didn't know exactly what they needed until we received it last week, but you guy have the cheat-sheets haha)
I'm going through the list and some of the 'required documents' are somewhat confusing, if anyone could shine light for me.
Is everything they list required when it's something not applicable?
For example do we need to make statements regarding each one?
Specifically: Canadian Immigration docs, Military Records, Court Records, Certified Translation of Civil Docs., Marriage Certificates, and Death/Divorce Certificates are what I'm referring to. We can't make heads or tails what to do for these, if anything.
I'd appreciate any insight! You guys are great.
Get your criminal record check soon! It requires 2 weeks, also look into your immunization records and anyones you might need updates on. You need this for the medical? Which province are you in? I'm in AB and had to call AB health to get my records and I went in to get updated on my immunizations, which was free with AB health care.
Also, you letter of intent needs to be recent so 30 days old, bring a new on to your interview! This is very important, along with affidavit of support and your fiances financial documents.
Your birth certificate should also be the long form or atleast have your parents names on it. I had to get mine updated because mine did not have my parents names on it, even though the USCIS accepted it, I heard the won't at the interview.
The other stuff I put N/A when I filled out my checklist.
Good luck! When did the NVC receive your documents just curious?

No, it's just an automated reply. "Thank you for you message to the IV Unit" with no info other than that link to check my status and that they'd respond when they could.
Oh, they always send an automated reply. I would just wait until tomorrow they usually take a day to respond.

@Forrest Fire I sent it again today. Got an email directing me to this website to check status: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/
Have you used it? It doesn't look official to me.
Did they send you packet 4? That is the website to book your interview!

Something doesn’t seem right about your wait. I would recommend doing that DHL jack that I posted so you can see who signed for it in Montreal and then email them your P3 again and include the DHL info as proof that they have it
Did you send them the DHL as proof? I'm considering doing this, they have told me they are waiting to receive that packet in their office but it shows received last week on Thursday.

@aml16 My US fiance did at the beginning of January and didn't get a response. I'm going to send them another on Friday.
Make sure to add your case number and put it in the heading. I put "URGENT" in one of mine and they responded fairly promptly.

OMG! I'm so excited for you, but also think I need to stop following this forum because I'm getting super depressed with how so many people MONTHS behind me are getting interviews and I've heard nothing. Like, I"m going to put my head through a wall soon.
But seriously, so awesome for you. What was the interview availability like?
Have you emailed the consulate? It is very odd that they haven't email you yet! I would definitely follow up.

I've got my fingers cross for you!
If it's anything like my timeline, I got an email yesterday saying they were reviewing my documents and P4 came this morning!
That is awesome, see I told you it sounded like they were reviewing your P3. I will re-send P3 next week Monday and see what happens. How may times did you send P3 to them?

Happy Hump Day!
Good News!!! I received my P4 email this morning and have booked my interview for Feb 19th!!! I'm absolutely over the moon right now!
How is everyone else doing?
Yay!! This is such good news, I hope Packet 3 comes my way soon. They responded to me saying they are waiting to receive my paperwork in the office before I can schedule my interview. So I hope it arrives soon.

I have! It still says “ready” and every time they email me, the date updates. From my very first ready, it had said that I could book an interview but I know that is just a generic statement and doesn’t pertain to us. We can’t book an interview until we receive P4.
Well this is frustrating... why would it say to book then lol! I emailed them packet 3 again... I really hope they send packet 4 soon.

Have you tried the DHL tracking hack that I posted? I was able to see who signed for my visa and perhaps that's the proof you need to make them go look for it in their mail room.
Have you checked that status of your application? Mine now states that I am ready for an interview, I sent packet 3 in but have not received a response for packet 4 for some reason.

I really hope you're right! Thanks for the dose of optimism, I really need it today!
I feel your pain, this process is so frustrating! I really hope they speed up their processing... they seem so slow right now in comparison to what other cases have been only months before ours. The montreal consulate keeps saying they have not received my case and they keep directing me to the NVC, I called the NVC and they are certain the consulate has received my case... lol!

I think this is them telling me to wait for packet 3 but I'm really not sure. Has anyone else received this email?
It sounds like they are forwarding your packet 3 to the visa unit? Atleast that is what it seems to me, I could be wrong!

I just received the following email back from the consulate in response to me sending in my P3 before they prompted me too...
"Good morning,
We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail and the additional information provided. We will forward your information to the visa unit for review and next steps to take to continue processing your K-1 Fiancé Visa. Please be advised that you are not eligible at this time to schedule an appointment, until you receive instructions from the visa unit to do so."
I guess I just need to sit tight and wait but I just wish I knew what is causing the delay. It's been there for a month and I haven't gotten anywhere. I'm frustrated.
Well atleast they responded to you! Hopefully they will give you packet 4 soon.
Keep us posted, wish you luck!

Anyone get any responses from the consulate today?

I'm still waiting for P3 as well. I've sent in my P3 info twice now and the first time they told me to wait until they contacted me. I just sent it again on Jan 24th in hopes that it will be accepted this time.
I just don't understand why some people seem to get left behind.
It seems like the consulate is really behind right now!! Things are moving slowly... hopefully we all get our P3's soon and can book our interviews.
Keep us posted!

I tracked my visa using the DHL hack that @Greenbaum posted in the NVC thread. I was able to see that my visa was signed by someone on Dec 27th. CEAC had it showing "In-Transit" until Jan 8th.
How did you track it? I am currently waiting for my ready, my info was submitted to the consulate on the 21st of January.
You are ahead of us! We submitted our petition well before you...
Have you heard anything back about your P3?

Just wondering what support financial documents I need for the interview.
I have 2018 tax return, W2s and recent pay stubs. Is this enough with the Affadavit Of Support?
My interview is tomorrow!
Also, does the passport photocopy have to be color? Of my own Canadian passport?
