One thing I’ve learned about this process is the average American has absolutely no idea how immigration works at all. I admit too, I didn’t have the best understanding either.
A few of my faves:“Why can’t you just marry your fiancé and he come here right away?”
“Why can’t he just fly to the US to come see you?”“Isn’t he a citizen the second he gets married to you?”
”If you hire a lawyer, they could get him here faster”
“You know that he had to live with you and you have to pay for him for 10 years if you get divorced right?
🥴😒
People whom filed for their spousal or K1 visa 10 years ago don't even realize all the new changes or how it works now either. I've met several people whom went through the process 10 years ago and can't understand why my husband isn't here yet? I mean they just filled out the paperwork and waited 2-4 months and bingo!

My service centre is Nebraska and has moved up in it's processing times. Mostly November/December cases are being approved (that I have seen recently) so January's cases are coming up soon 🤞
Dear Nebraska, please take on my case. 🤣
Sincerely,
Stuck at Potomac without movement

Hey, I got a similar email. If you click the link, you'll realize it's not for your case... I was actually redirected to someone else's and they were at Nebraska, so it explains the late approval date. The estimate from my time line dissapered. I just checked yours and see that there's nothing for you either. Maybe it's a glitch
I just clicked on the link too. Same thing happened. The link took me to a time line that was being processed in Nebraska (embassy Japan) too. My timeline now says not enough cases to make an estimate (well something similar along those lones). Glad to know I'm not alone. It really made last Sunday depressing to say the least.

Filed January 25th online, assigned to potomac on the 26th. Looks like potomac is on July 2019 filers right now. Fingers crossed they are able to speed up. 🤞

I hope you get your approval, I believe they're potentially starting on November 2019. However, the website says August 2019. They went from the fastest processing center to now the slowest. What happened did half of their staff quit?
