  1. Okay so this is my situation...
    I was born in 1992..
Country used to be called Yugoslavia till 2003,
from 2003 to 2006 - Serbia and Montenegro
From 2006 till now - Serbia..
My first green card was saying Serbia..
Now this one says Country of Birth: Serbia and Montenegro (which existed only from 2003-2006)
Technically i was born in Yugoslavia, even tho most of documents says Serbia, which i was expecting on green card too.

I really dont feel like replacing my green card because of this, as it takes too long and ill become citizen in a year anyway, do u think this can be an issue while entering back in the USA?

  2. Mistake on approval letter.
They misspelled my last name, one letter.
Did anyone have the same thing happen? Does this mean my green card will come with error?
Should i call them or do something? Any advice?

    To share my experience
filled august 2018 jointly, quite a bit of evidence
    2019 RFE

2020 Interview Cancelled due to covid
2020 oct interview.. Terrible officer, answered correctly all answers kept ######## how she doesn't see enough proves.. We asked her to separate us and question us if needed, we have nothing to hide, i told her my father just passed away, id really need to visit my home country .. she literally rolled her eyes, and said uve been only waiting little bit over 2 more years, you can wait few more months...
2021 june interview no.2, expected rough stokes interview, however older Chinese gentleman was like idk why these young officers are playing sherlock holmes, look how much evidences u got(literally 3 feet of evidence sitting in front of him about 30lbs), i brought about 2 feet of papers more lol, he is like move that away, i don't even wanna be looking at more papers, i was going thru this whole morning., i am not even gonna ask u anything.. Approved me and sent me home.

Moral of the story, our lives depend a lot on mood of officers, their experience or lack of it, etc.. it sad that some of shittiest IO are immigrants which you'd expect would have understanding for us but its quite opposite..
If you are worried,  I've researched like crazy for years, worst case scenario you get denied, it's relatively easy to get approved at immigration court.. So good luck everyone, hopefully you guys wont experience unnecessary anxiety, depression, anger and everything else..
Also i didn't need lawyer, but lawyers are really useful, they know how to present everything for u in front of officers, and some ###### officers will be less likely to abuse you if there is lawyer in the room. I took lawyer to second interview but not to first one, because i was afraid ill have evil IO again, but i was super lucky...

    Goodluck everyone.
I was in so much pain, I honestly tell you i finally feel like a happy, relieved person, i know some people dont take this hard as i did, but for me it was absolute nightmare and turned my life into hell.

  3. Had interview last year in Oct, very short 5 min pointless interview filling jointly, went with my wife.
Now got interview scheduled again next month. I am pretty sure it will be stokes interview..
Do you guys have any advices? we been really living for 6 years already together. I get really nervous at interview, and freeze, i am about to start taking ADHD meds so hopefully that helps, as i am gonna most likely get prescribed by my psychiatrist...
I am kinda worried that my wife is out of state now for 2 months, almost 2 and a half.. Her sister got 3 kids, newborns are twins, so she needed help? Will that look bad? Other than that only times we lived apart is when i went to my home country 3 times, in 2016 and 2017 (my father had cancer) after he passed away i didnt go back and spent every day with my wife besides these 4 times..
is it worth taking lawyer?  Its been already almost 3 years since i filled, RFE > interview canceled > interview > interview 2 ....
I am going literally nuts from wait, depression and anxiety it caused to me.. I feel a lot of you guys feel the pain..

  4. okay so your opinion matches mine.. I guess ill just pay extra.. I am cheap too but USCIS has caused me so much pain that i won't risk prolongering i751.. Rather get deported than live in anxiety for years again, even tho my case is a clean as it can be and i'm still married, but i guess i am just not so lucky.

  5. Hmm i already know that.. The question is if my interview is already scheduled, can my N400 application delay my i751 even further somehow?
it also gives me an option not to upload additional evidence,, and bring it to interview. Idk is that smart.
reason is id like to save 530$ by submitting n400 before fee change, but f$$k 530$ savings if im gonna be waiting another year after interview for green card..

  6. Hello, i have few questions about N400 filling.

I had couple traffic tickets speeding, no license
Do i mention that on crimes and offenses, and under what question?

I have i751 interview scheduled in 10 days,
in the end of application for N400,, it asks me for additional evidence, taxes, relationship evidence(like this would be really painful to submit, and i lost good portion of it since i submitted my i751 over 2years ago), spouses proof of citizenship,, do u guys think its fine to skip these, or submit it?

My interview is 10 days after fees go up, since my interview is already scheduled i was thinking N400 shouldn't delay my I751,, any opinions on this?

  7. Is it true that they are not giving I551 stamps, because its not EMERGENCY?
HOw the hell its not emergency proving that u are able to live/work here.
Yeah our status in immigration database doesn't expire but my employer cant see that.. Neither my college..
25 months waiting today, and after all the paperwork ive sent, literally 20lbs they still want interview which will come after vaccine i guess...

Does anybody know what the difference is between “Request for ‘Initial’ Evidence Was Sent” and “Request for ‘Additional’ Evidence Was Sent”?

If you get the “Initial” one, does that mean it is likely they send a second RFE?

Is "Initial" usually only for Divorce Decree? And then they send an "Additional" one for more things if needed?

Is it more chance you get an interview when they send you "Initial RFE" and more chance to approve without interview when they send you "Additional RFE"?

    Actually quite opposite i'd say
Initial means more some kind of formal documentation that's required with application.
Additional is more kinda of proof of evidence that you volunteraly send out to prove your relationship.
USCIS is doing terrible job, I'm waiting already 24 months, when i call customer service, its usually some useless people giving me inaccurate useless information.
Terrible employees, i hope these furloughs make them work better and get rid of useless people that are working against us, more than for us, while we are paying them.

    Hey, everyone!

Has anyone had an interview scheduled since the shutdown? Anything scheduled for August? Or just crickets?

I heard they are avoiding scheduling anything until Congress gives the emergency funds but I still want to believe there is hope and that won’t be the case in every office...

    Where did u read this?

Ok guys what's going on??  Is Haiti even scheduling interviews?? Omg

what does haiti have to do with i751

  10. Today i found out some useful information for my self and potentially you guys.
I called USCIS, and they told me offices are not completely open, and thats why they are not doing so many i751 interviews. They will be open completelly on July 13.
Hopefully this gives you some peace, who is waiting just like i am, to be rescheduled after cancelled interview.

Our interview on April 7th was cancelled.

My husband (USC) got phone call from field office on June 8th to reschedule to June 15th.

On June 11th, case status online showed that my interview was cancelled. After no luck trying to speak with tier 2 officer, we came to interview anyway and they were expecting us. After interview, my status changed to "new card is being produced" two hours later. And the next day it changed to "case was approved". On Monday June 22, I got the approval notice in mail.

*Nebraska service center, February 2019 filer. Field office Columbus, OH.

    Good luck!

    Congrats!!!!
Omg you are lucky and from what i've seen one of few that got i751 rescheduled after cancellation.

  12. Very good circumstances for anti-immigration policies.
Let's see what he will sign now. Hopefully it will be not that severe, or dismissed quickly.
Not sure what he wants now since everything is stopped.
I think his main goal is to slow down citizenship process at least until election is over, since im assuming majority of immigrants that become citizens are anti-trump voters.
Also might be signing some stupid irrelevant , just for getting voters attention, how he is actually doing big thing on immigration, so he can pick up credit for it, and corona already made sure immigration is not the option anyway.
Not sure what is benefit of tweeting about it, without any information.. Just to make us feel anxious in this already intense atmosphere.

thanks, i was told that one couple send their rfe to close to due day and get interview because of that. I am getting worried that 2 weeks is too later but we will see.

I dont think so, doesnt make sense, can u find that post ? I'd like to see that.
It doesn't matter when u send it bunch of people send it 90 days before some 2 days before.
however i did file 2 weeks before exactly, and im waiting for my interview hah, but i doubt it has to do anything with filling date. Cause ive seen people file day before and not get interview or RFE, and people file 90 days before and be harased at the interview. We all have busy life and stuff to do, and there is a time window with a reason. As long as u are not out of it.
    U are just overthinking.

  14. Well since u have kid, there isnt much to worry about.
They ask from what ive read usual questions as first interview, where u met, how, when u get up, what side u sleep on, where is stuff in the house etc.
I am also waiting for interview.
do u mind sharing ur timeline
    For example

    case received 5-1-2018
    biometrics 8-2-2018
    RFE  5-2019
    Case Transfered xxxxx
case ready to be schedued for interveiw xxxxxx
    Interview notice   xxxxxx

    Id really appreciate

  15. If u guys can help me out too,
I got RFE, after RFE i got "Case transferred to NBC" (reason to speed up process but i doubt, i'm pretty sure its interview, they just sent me this generic letter)

How long between case transfer and Case ready to be scheduled for interview it took u?

I know that after case is ready to be scheduled for interview, NBC is done with it, and its up to local office.
Btw if its two weeks be sure u are good at least for 30 days for now, and thats like 0.1%, its more likely to take anywhere from 2-8 months on experiences ive read.

I'm still married i751 CR6, already had interview(didnt  go as perfect as it should've tho)
