i can't believe people on this site going thru the immigration process legally, don't second all of your opinions.

karen, you took that way personally. i did not mean to offend you, or anyone else. i was just stating facts. when the "white man" came here it was not a country, it was an unsettled territory. not a country w/ a gov't, social services, an economy etc.(a nation). sorry the "white man" took land from native american tribes. i believe they have been appoligized to & compensated. as well as benifited in many other ways from the "white mans" country they built here. we are talking about illegal immigration into a nation. not taking land from native tribes. noone said it was right for the "white man". to do what they did, but everyone here has benifited.

I think the people who would probably be more versed on the topic of illegal immigrants would be any Native American

They know all too well about people setting up shop illegally in every corner of North America. So in a sense wqe are all illegal immigrants I guess

The difference being you don't hear Native Americans griping about illegal this and illegal that. I'm not angry with the white man for coming here and tearing my ancestors from their homeland...nor do I consider them illegal but I do understand your point. For the most part, and to anyone who sees me I look white, but I'm more Native American than I am anything else. Sometimes I wish more education was available in our schools about who was actually here first...

the US wasn't a nation until the war of independence. remember the constitution, declaration of independence things,etc.

and native americans didn't just appear in the americas. i'm pretty sure that their ansestory is traced back to mongolia & they migrated across the barring straight. so by the logic above we should as the squirrels & trees how they feel about illegal immigration. no illegal immigration is wrong and those that have done it are criminals. regardless of their reasons for doing it, they have broken the law of the nation not an unsettled territory

i don't think that should be a deciding factor, unless you're looking for a reason not to hire. its not like they were trying to be disrespectful. probably just thinking about something else while answering your email. give'em a break. they need the job.

This might not sound like a practical piece of advice, but try and pin down WHY you smoke- that should be able to help you enormously in quiting.

Once I had no choice but to admit to myself that the only reason I'm smoking is boredom, I also had no choice but to think about something else to do every time I thought about a cigarette.

Also, if you fall off the wagon and smoke one don't use that as an excuse to say "Oh well, now that I smoked this one I might as well continue smoking regularly", just take a deep breath and take it from step one again.

i think i smoke because of stress + i've been smoking 22 years, so the addiction is real & strong. i quit for like 2 days once & i was not easy to be around. someone told to try hypnosis. but some one else told me they did that & it didn't work.

i've been doing really well. i got to the gym 3-4 days a week, for weight training & cardio. but, i smoke & i cant quit. i've tried the gum, patches, zyban, cold turkey. the only thing i haven't done is start dipping snuff.(which is pretty damn gross) anyone have any ideas about how to quit? i'm willing to try anything.......i have to do something, i can't just hope for the best.

ok i usually don't post on troll topics like this, but what the hell!

1st i want to call BS on the article & the poll. i don't know anyone thats ok w/ the immigration bill or letting the illegal get a pass on breaking the law.

to stop the illegal immigration we need to make it harder on people exploiting them as well! i posted this the other day.

if you rent to an illegal-your property is seized & auctioned

if you employ an illegal- 1st offense $10,000 fine per illegal

2nd offense $20,000 fine per

3rd offense $30,000 fine per + property business & private seized & auctioned. w/ jail time.

(don't remember who added jail time, but good idea)

what do we do w/ the illegals? lock'em up & bus'em home.( don't want to hear any bs, they broke the law)

how do we pay for it?( read the above again)

where do we find the illegals ( don't play dumb, we all know what kind of work they do & where they are)
