I'm sorry, I think that I misread your question! The 765 status does change. I think the orders were: "new card is being produced" to "case was approved" to "card was picked up by the post office" to "card was delivered to me by the post office".  The I-131 just changed to case was approved.

Also, my interview just got scheduled today!!

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it. Hopefully I get it soon. My wife is expecting and it would be great to start working soon.

    Good luck everyone!

I don't think so... Many people have gotten their interviews schedule but never got EAD

The green card is processed by your field office, and EAD is processed by the service center. If you happen to get the GC before EAD then you wouldn't need EAD at all

    Thanks CMT!

Yes of course, it would be useless but, my interview being ready to be scheduled doesn't mean I'll get it right away, it could be 1 month, it could be 20, but on the other hand, if I don't receive the EAD by August 20, I will be eligible to submit an official enquiry on the i765 because I will be over their processing times for my office (NBC), so I wanted to know if somebody had a change on their "765" status before receiving the combo card. Right now it only says fingerprints were taken.

    Thanks again!!

  3. Quick question for those who had the Biometrics done already. My case is ready to be scheduled for an interview, and I understand that when I see "interview scheduled" is when I should be expecting the letter with the date but... what about the combo card with the EAD and SSN, does the case status change to approved before receiving it, or it doesn't change at all?

Thank you in advance and stay safe!

  5. Hi guys. Sorry if this is not the right thread.

Our receipt notice is from November 19 and we don't have Biometrics appointment yet.

I have a question I couldn't find the answer to in the forum... The 'new' estimated EAD processing times of 4-6 months start counting after the i-765 receipt notice (11/19/2020) or 4-6 months after the biometrics have been taken?

Thanks in advance and good luck to all of you.

  6. Hi guys, I've been reading all your comments and the doubt I still have is, if the 90-day is in place, would be a problem getting married between the 80th and the 90th day?

The AOS should be submitted before the 90th day? Or receipt date before 90th day like with the K1 process?

Also, if the EAD takes 30-90 days with AOS after K1, what's the difference with the EAD after AOS from ESTA?

Thank you guys for all your info, my fiance (US Citizen) lost her mother and weeks later one of her brothers during the pandemic, and while she was alone and us waiting for the K1. Now that I'm in the US, we're thinking about this because she suffered enough being alone.

I have a question, what date is matter, when the case was received (March 18) or when the NOA sent (March 23)?

Hi there, I have the same doubt. Every time I check our case on the official website it says received March 18, and also on the App tracker, but on the letter says Receipt date April 10, and I'm starting to freak out because of this. Could anybody add some light on this? Just to have a realistic idea, because its gonna be 7 months this week. Good luck and stay safe everyone!

How did you pay? If its a check you can see if its been cashed, then you'll know that they received it.

I imagine the entire process is going to be pretty much stalled for the next month or two at least.

Yes, I used a check. I also thought that. They haven't cashed it out yet, so perhaps I'm just a bit anxious because I tried to submit everything perfect hoping that he process would be faster.

My fiance is in Europe and I told him to not visit me with his ESTA during the process, just in case, so this will obviously make it a bit harder.

    Hi there guys,

First of all I hope everybody is safe during these crazy times, and sorry if this topic is been asked too much before. My fiance submitted the I-129 the past March 17th, right before this craziness. We've been reading that the 1st one usually takes like 10 days (business). Should be worry, contact them, or this is probably because of the Covid19 crisis?

Thank you so much in advance

    I-129f Sorry for the typo

  11. Hi there,

First I hope everybody is safe at home with all this virus thing. I have a quick question because I didn't find a clear answer in the Forum. I'm about to submit my petition for my fiance and I already have a USCIS account number from when I got my naturalization. Even if this question sounds a little silly, should I use it, or say no and they'll assign me a new one? I think it could be useful that they have all my info already there, but I don't know if different process requires different USCIS number.

Thank you so much in advance and good luck to all.
