I entered the US on a K1 visa. Got married 14 months ago and have had my conditional green card for 6 months. Things with the husband are bad. He recently threatened suicide if I left him. I called 911 and he was put on 72 hour hold. Since he's been out all we do is fight. I will be getting copies of the police reports. However, tonight he said that if I divorce him he will call immigration and have me deported or would use a lawyer to do so. Our marriage was real so is it really that simple for him to do this? I know I will need a waiver to remove conditions after a divorce.

Looking for some stories from people who have gotten divorced while on the conditional green card and were successful at removing the conditions without any problems. I have a solid list of evidence (leases, bank account, insurance docs, beneficiary, pictures....) but would love to know what others have provided as additional proof. There is no physical abuse or anything like that. We're just not a good fit for each other. He doesn't want to go to marriage counseling. We've been married 14 months and I've had the green card for 6 months.

I entered the US on a K1. Got married in December 2021 and received my conditional green card in September 2022. Things have gone downhill (he is drinking more and we are constantly fighting) and I am considering filing for divorce. I know this will require a waiver and I will be using a lawyer. The marriage was bona-fide and I have the following documents as backup, but some bills only allowed us to put one name. Will this be enough proof? - 3 signed leases with both names - 2022 taxes filed jointly - joint bank account - joint health insurance - joint car insurance bill under his name but both names shown on both vehicle policies - credit card under my name with US spouse as the additional authorized user - electric bill with both names - internet bill with only US spouse name but me as an authorized admin on the account. - insurance policies listing each other as beneficiary - me listed as beneficiary on his 401k Given that we've been married only 16 months and I've only had a green card for 5 months, will there be any issues? Has anyone else had a similar issue and received the 10 year card without any issues?

June 7 - Interview scheduled for July 21 June 30 - Interview cancelled June 30 - Case being reviewed. However, in the documents tab there was a NOID also dated June 30th. When I open the document it said Request for Evidence and was just asking for a copy of the marriage certificate. I had already sent this with the original application but I uploaded a copy again and also mailed it in. I never received a notice of interview cancelation in the mail but I called USCIS this morning and they confirmed it was cancelled.

June 7th - received interview letter June 30th - NOID asking for marriage certificate. June 30th - interview cancelled. I am able to see all the documents in my USCIS My Account. A copy of the NOID is in the documents tab. This is also where I was told to either upload a copy of the certificate to my account or mail it in. This needs to be done by Sept 26th. The interview cancelation letter is also in the documents tab and says 'This is to advise you that, as requested, we have cancelledmyour interview on July 21st at 7:30am'.

Please help! (AOS after K1) On June 7th I received a letter with an interview date of July 21st. I just checked my case history on the USCIS My Account page and now they show the interview has been cancelled as of June 30th. They also show a Notice of Intent to Deny with the same date. When I open the document, it shows an RFE letter but it's only asking for a copy of the marriage certificate. This was already sent to them in the original package. I've uploaded the certificate again, but what now?? Why did they cancel the interview? The letter says "This is to advise you that, as requested, we have cancelled the interview......" I never requested to cancel the interview. Is this a generic letter? Currently the status is back to 'case is being reviewed'.
