How does one get notified for the IR1/CR1 Interview at the Mumbai Consulate ?  IS this an email / Postal mail to the Applicant (US Citizen) and the Immigrant ?  I am bit worried because of the last email for NVC Approval from National_Visa_Center@state.gov went to my spam email.  Please let me know if both Applicant (US Citizen) and the Immigrant will get an email or a Physical mail in the post? where is the email/mail come from ?

1.  Does the Beneficiary gets an email or Postal mail  from NVC?

2. How does the Applicant gets notified?

I am still waiting for the mail from NVC after 130 approval .  It has been 22 days only .  Do they send a postal mail to the Beneficiary my wife) in India?   Will the applicant myself be notified of the NVC mail to Benficiary ?How long it took from I 130 approval to get the mail from NVC.

My wife got the Police certificate.  What other things we can do when waiting for the maim from NVC and get the case Number?

I checked the USCIS Website and I got the below stated  information for I-130 Processing times.  I filed my I-130 online on March 12th 2020 and not yet received any information.  There are a few members in the website who have received I-130 approval applying after me .  I do not understand "Process cases in order they receive" . 

My Question is

1. Is it also based on the complexity of the case Eg. Previous divorces ? etc

2. SInce some people have gotten the approval applying after me , mine  could be in Progress and may be a bit complex and taking additional time?

7 Months to 9 Months

I am a US Citizen who applied of CR1 visa on March 12 via Online Submission.  I did not see any documentation requirement of attaching Birth Certificate for me or my Spouse.  However I have seen some topics here with some members getting Request for Evidence to submit both the Birth Certificate of the Husband and Wife.

WIll it hurt if I go now and upload the Birth Certificates and avoid any Request for Evidence?

I did not understand what you said about K3 Visa.  When did you apply for K3?  DId you K3  or I-130 get approved?  What got rejected I -130 or K3?

I  am an US Citizen who had applied for my I-130 in March and waiting for approval. My wife is from India.  We both of us had previous marriages terminated and I am not sure if the country India and Previous could be the reason it would take more time.

Can I apply for a K3 Visa to get my wife earlier here?  Any advice

I am a US Citizen and i applied for I-130 for my wife in March 2020.  whiles this is processing , can she apply for a tourist visa and visit me for a a few weeks in the USA?

My' spouse's son was 18 Years and 8 months when we got married in February 2020. SInce I can only adopt if the child was less than  18 , would K1/K2 Visa made any difference?

I married my Spouse in India during February 2020 .  Her Child was more than 18 during our marriage and less then 21 of course.  SInce he  was over 18 , I could not include him in my I -130 .  Can I legally adopt him and use the below under 21 law and  get him immigrated ?  My spouse and her son are in India.  My Spouse visa is in Progress CR1.  

How and when I can start adoption proceedings and try to bring my Spouse to the USA?

Any tips on attaching Photos to I-130?.  Is there a specific way to scan the pictures ?  I scanned it and had to then size it 600 pixels by 600 Pixels , but it had some problems passing the  State Photo Cropper and Passport check tool.

Do not want to get the form rejected because of the Photos.  

Additional Proof of Marriage . SInce she is in India , I cannot show any joint financial document.

1.  Can Personal affidavits from friends help ? Can this be attached to the form?

2. Can we attach Marriage Photos and documents of visits we made after Marriage?

Was the Beneficiary Ever in the USA?

Is it enough to give just the Passport Number since my Beneficiary was in the US?  Since she traveled 10 years back she does not have the old passport and any I94 details. Do we need travel document Number and I-94 Number?

3.  I can get affidavit from friends

How to show a bank account without my wife being here?  Does any bank allow opening account without SSN?

What other documents would help?

Also once filled where does the I-130 go to ?  Which center?
