His citizenship affects the answer. If a US citizen, you need to get him/her a CRBA and US passport from the US consulate then he/she can travel with you, no visa. If not a US citizen then he/she can travel with you without a visa as long as you have a long form BC and passport from his/her home country.
Okay, thank you for your reply

Everybody can see and understand your concern and your question. We're actually here to help people with even more than that, which is what they NEED TO KNOW even if they don't know what to ask.
Your spouse, petitioner, sponsor, and father of the child needs to take action to get a Consular Report of Birth Abroad for his child, if the child is entitled to US Citizenship BECAUSE no visa can be issued to such a child. There's a solution to your situation. It's not just a matter of answering one simple question.
Thank you

Definitely do. Based on what you mentioned the child will automatically be a USC upon birth. You'll need to obtain their CRBA and US passport before they travel; it's very important. All the best with the pending addition to your fam and good luck with the rest of the Immigration process.
Thank you so much ☺️

Your profile indicates that you’re form Nigeria. Here is what the U.S. embassy there has on CRBA: https://ng.usembassy.gov/consular-report-of-birth-abroad/#:~:text=The CRBA and Passport can,the requirements to transmit citizenship.
Yes. I will go through this. Thanks

Just to clarify: it sounds like the father of the child has been a U.S. citizen for 10 years, which makes him a citizen at the time of birth. Has your husband (the child’s father) been “physically present” in the U.S. for at least five years (i.e. has he been physically there for five years)? If so, your child seems to have a claim to U.S. citizenship and, by law, would have to travel to the U.S. on a U.S. passport.
Thank you
He has been physically present in the USA since 2003. Do i know how I can get a u.s passport for the child?

You should worry about it because if your child is born a US citizen, you must get his/her CRBA while you are in Nigeria.
Ok. Please how do I get the crba? I am so confused 😕

I don’t understand please
To be honest, my main concern is if my child can accompany me after birth without a visa. I am not worried about him being a citizen yet

Child born abroad to an accompanying parent after issuance of an immigrant visa to the parent but before the parent’s initial admission as an immigrant may be boarded as long as the child has a passport and birth certificate.
Thank you so much. I’ll go through links you sent

The father has to sponsor the child the same way you were sponsored. Double check that you can not file a CRBA
Okay, thank you

Will the child be a USC?
Not that. Will I need a visa for the child after birth to accompany me?

Hello everyone.
My ir1 visa was approved yesterday and i am currently 36weeks pregnant. I checked online and found out that i can't fly because I am almost due. Please will my child need a visa to accompany me after being born? What document is needed for the child after birth?
Your response will go a long way for me...thanks

They won’t review it but they will see it.
Proof that they see it: When people go to interviews, and they get the 221G asking for a missing document, the consul tells them to send it by courier AND upload the missing document to CEAC.
Okay, thank you so much for your reply 🙏🏻

Thank you. I made my own topic and didn’t get a reply that was why I asked under his.
I was thinking they won’t review it because I’ve been dq’d.

Thanks, that was what I was thinking as well.
I had also been wondering whether additional uploads after the fact affect one's DQ status/date. In other threads I was able to find, some people reported doing this without issue while others cautioned against it.
I'm going to send a message to NVC using their public inquiry form in an attempt to get an answer in writing about it. And I suppose that I could also wait until the interview has been scheduled to upload anything else.
Hello! Please do you think I can upload my tax transcript after interview date has been scheduled?

it appears that is only confirmation of received ds260. Have you submitted the Sponsor and Civil documents?
Yes I have summited everything and I have been dq’d. I printed out the confirmation page later but it looks somehow to me

Hello everyone.
Please is this how d260 confirmation page looks like?

Yes, as stated above a certified copy is an original. I would recommend getting several certified copies (4-5) so that you have them for future use.
I will do just that. Thank you so much

Just to be clear, when it comes to Marriage and Birth Certificates (Some others too) the "original" is owned by the government agency where the marriage or birth was "registered". All the people involved ever get is a "certified copy". For immigration and most other purposes, we submit photocopies of certified copies. Getting new certified copies is usually not a problem and much easier than getting or "original certified copies" back.
"Originals" of marriage and birth certificates that a person holds are usually unofficial souvenirs.
So a certified copy will do?
