If you don't already have a tourist visa you will probably have a very hard time getting one being married to a US citizen, since acquiring a tourist visa requires proving you don't have immigration intent, for those who already have a tourist visa though may use it to travel to the US. However your husband should have no problems visiting you in Thailand during the process and may do so as much as you and he like during the visa process and for as long as Thailand government will permit him to. I visited my husband in Denmark for 2 and a half months during the summer

    okay thank you so much!!

Yes it is for sure, people visit each other during the visa process all the time. I visited my husband in his country after starting the process while waiting the I130 approval and my husband even came here and visited to the US after the I130 was approved during NVC stage. Your husband is not required to stay in the US the entirety of the process, he is allowed to travel anywhere in the world that he wants during the process. Visiting each other is actually good because you will have more visitation and bona fide marriage evidence come interview time. If you have a tourist visa you may also travel to the US to visit as well (though entry is not guaranteed if they think you will stay). But yes he 100% can visit, many and most have done so during the visa process. Only thing you would have to "worry" about is mail but should anything happen with the petition you will get notified online anyways

oh wow thank you very much! thats helpful. my brother is getting married next month and my family members really want him to travel to thailand to attend the wedding which is why im asking. but this is great information.... i mean.... are you saying that i can actually apply for a tourist visa and visit him in USA as well while i130 is stiil in process if thats the case? i had no idea about that.... do you actually have infomation on an official site that states so?

I have a PD on my I-129f. Separate Receipt numbers also even though they are both in Nebraska. Our I-130 has been in Nebraska since May and I filed the I-129f in early Oct. Only recieved NOA letters on both and nothing else so far.

it is the same for me... applied 130 near the end of july and i129 in the first week of aug and only received noa for both letters so far

  4. Hello! I have filed a petition for both the i130 and i129F following that. I got the NOA for i130 on August 5, 2019 and then submitted the i129F and got the NOA1 for that on August 19, 2019... No news regarding anything until November 5, 2019... that is when we received the mail that our case is being transferred to National Benefits Center. After that on November 22, 2019 the case status was updated on the 'case status online' website that our case has been transferred to another USCIS office. Does anyone know what this means?

Thank you for your reply. This seems to be a K-3 then that they are applying for. Which is more or less a dead process and rarely used. A K-3 I am not that well up on and hence the reason for my confusion.

I have found this link for @Shaleena Cole to review and to post any questions. Thanks Commish for your reply.

You don't have a complete timeline so I don't know where you are in the process. Have you submitted an I-485.?

im sorry im feeling quite lost here and confused as well... i got the NOA for i130 on August 5, 2019 and then submitted the i129F and got the NOA1 for that on August 19, 2019... No news regarding anything until November 5, 2019... that is when we received the mail that our case is being transferred to National Benefits Center. I think you meant to say transferred to NVC and not NBC. Your file goes through USCIS for approval. Once approved then it is sent on to NVC who is the clearing house to the number of immigrants that can be allowed into the US. Once verified they assign you a case number. Once it's assigned it will be sent to your embassy for preparations to interview. Once it's sent to the embassy the embassy contacts you via an email that has the instructions on which documents you will need to bring to the interview plus other information that is important to the processing of the visa.

Everyone goes through these stages. To more closely monitor your case you should download the latest copy of the PDF on the first page from this thread

this will have everything you will need. Also, join this group with any questions. Good luck.

hi... no it says NBC (National benefit center)
