what name is your immigration paperwork in? My wifes Immigration paperwork is in her maiden name so we left the passport in her maiden name, better for traveling. everything else is in her married name. Not a problem with ROC, lots of people have different names. What name is your  green card in?

My greencard still has my maiden name. My ids here in the us have all my maiden name

  3. Hi beautiful people! For those of you who had a 221G due to an NBI clearance without AKA, how long did it take for the US Embassy in Manila to issue the visa? I sent my documents last Wednesday. CR1 here. TIA! :)

Can anyone tell me if this is a different kind of expedite to the one you file for your I-130 with USCIS? They are being extremely slow with my request, almost a month since I submitted and all I’ve had was that it had been forwarded for further review.

I think it was different? Our case has already been Documentarily qualified and was currently on NVC when I submitted an expedite request.

I got expedited on Thursday. CEAC is still saying "at NVC". I would have thought it would change immediately, but it is holiday weekend. I know how things work.

I hope it gets forwarded on Monday as UK has opened up things today.

I hope mine gets forwarded in Manila soon. I’m gonna do my medical examination on Wednesday.

Once we received such an email from NVC, our file was immediately sent digitally to the embassy. We heard from the embassy the next day with instructions on how to move forward with doctor's visit and collecting documents. The same day we informed the embassy I had been at the doctor's and we had collected all required we got an email with an appointment for the interview for 2 days later. It all went very quickly after that email from NVC.

Same thing with my friend, but in my case it was approved on the 1st of July and until now, case is still with NVC

It means that NVC has approved your expedite request and will next send the case to the Manila Embassy for the rest of the visa process.  Sending the case will take some time, maybe a week or two, maybe more or less than that.  Even with an expedite things take time, especially with the virus.  Check the Manila embassy website or call the number as the message said, for instructions on the interview scheduling, medical, etc.   Hopefully they'll open up again soon.  Good luck!

Thank you so much! I’m loosing  my head right now. Someone told me that this isn’t an approval from the NVC so I had to double check it.

In filing out the DS-5540, section 4a asks if you will be covered by health insurance in the US within 90 days of entry.

If you will be covered by your fiance or spouse (after marriage) Include the information requested.

I even made copies of my health insurance coverage to take with her, just in case.

Thank you. I will ask him to talk to their HR, and see if they can issue a letter stating that he can add me within 30 days of arriving in the states & I will also ask him to send me a copy of his health insurance.

  9. Hey everyone, just an update. My husband called the NVC, he was on hold for 45 mins before someone answered the phone. So basically what happened is he needs to put in his complete full name (first name, middle name, last name) on the I-864. So he resubmit the documents yesterday (June 3, at 6:40 am PH Time). Last night (11:00 pm PH Time) our documents has been DQ’d, and now I’m just waiting for an interview schedule.
