  1. Hi guys, first i would like to apologize if there is already a topic with the same question i got (newbie here)

So, after exacts 2 months of submitting all required docs to NVC  ( CR1 ) i finally got a message from them on my email saying (The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.  NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in RIO DE JANEIRO, BRZL to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner and attorney (if applicable). )

BUT, on the ceac website i received 2 messages from them at the same time i got the email, one saying that ( all required applicant documents have been received and approved )  and another saying ( Case document Review Note,  BRAZIL requires more than one police certificate. Please submit the missing BRAZIL STATE police certificate. Please use our Document Finder at  https://nvc.state.gov/find for acceptable documents guidelines. )

This is where im confused, all documents are showing as ACCEPTED, including my wifes police certificates. So im not sure what to do now since i cant get a hold of NVC through phone ( no one picks up )

    Has anyone gone through this?

  2. Hi guys, new to the forum so I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. But I was wondering if some of you who have gone through this can help me out.

So, I have already applied for my wife which lives in Brazil. A day ago we got an email saying it was at the NVC so we received our case number and invoice.

We paid the fees so now we are just waiting for the forms to be available to work on. ( affidavit of support and IV )

I have been employed for the last year and a half, I make enough to sponsor my father(which I already have) but I dont make enough to sponsor my wife.

However my stepfather is willing to help me.we live in the same house but I do not financially depend on him.

My questions are, would we have to put him as a household member or joint sponsor? Form I864 or I864a?

He has 2 dependents, my mother and brother. So would we have to put as if he has 4 in total? (Him,my mother,my brother and my wife)?

Also, he is not employed as of now, however his three last years he filed taxes. Would this be a problem?

I hope I was clear and would like to thank you guys in advance.
