Ahmed and I share a joint account and everything is our money not mine or his. Ahmed is the sweetest kindest man I have ever met. When we had to buy a new car he let me have the new one and he took the old Blazer.

I make the most money right now so I am not sure if it would be different if he made the most but somehow I think he would be the same. But one never really knows for sure.

I hope everything works out for you. You have to find your own way to come to a compromise and if going on strike and not cooking is yours then who am I to judge? Good Luck Girl!!!

Happy Hump Day (Wednesday)!!!! Only two days left until the weekend!!!!!!

It is a drizzly raining day here but not too cold.

We have Circus Tickets tonight.......but I did not sleep well last night and I am soooooooooo tired........I hope I can stay awake and enjoy the Circus.

I agree marriages are hard work....even when there is true love. We all are individuals and when we marry we have to learn to adapt and consider the other one's personality and beliefs.

Ahmed and I fight some like anyone but we truly love eachother and we both compromise. We are committed to eachother and to our marriage.

I cannot begin to tell you what is best for you....only you know the answer to that one. It is hard to forget hurtful things that are said. The biggest question is do you still love him? Do you want the marriage to work? Whatever you decide we wish you the best and wil always be here for you.

Ahmed is not like that. He has a specific hair gel but it is sauve so not expensive and he uses the AXE bodyspray also not expensive and smells good.

We have only bought one pair of jeans and one pair of Sneakers for him since he got here as far as clothing goes.

But he is sure his hair and clothes are changed and he is looking good before going out...even if just down road to walmart.

However, he did buy a Tom Tom and a MP3 player when he first got here. He also got an electric shaver for Christmas

He is definitely the thrifty one who saves money. I do not spend alot on me but I am bad to spend it onmy daughter.

If you want the forms for filing 1040 you can usually pick them up free at local Libraries........try that. I always get mine there.

But if you want copies of past 1040......I am not sure.

Fireproof comes out on Tuesday on DVD and is in the Theaters already! Its played by Kirk Cameron.

Its a rainy day in ATL. Maybe tomorrow will be sunny!

I saw it tonight at Walmart at the Redbox DVD rent thing but it does not come out here until the 27th

My neice is also sick in the hospital. She has a very weak immune system and got a really bad bug from someone and caused her to get pneumonia. She is so precious. She has been in the hospital since Wednesday getting IV antibiotics. Keep her in your prayers. Her name is Wendy.

Ahmed met my parents for the first time when he arrived here.

My Dad and Step mom are 50/50...lol that means my step mom loves him, thinks he is so sweet. My Dad likes him (until he does something that my dad dislikes) but the first thing my Dad said when I asked him to give me away at the Wedding unless he opposed was that he did not know Ahmed well enough to make an opinion so how could he object. But he does call him son now when he speaks to him.

My mom was very warm and welcoming to him.

But he likes my sister best....She has been very helpful since he got here. She helped him look for a job and stuff like that. They call eachother sometimes too.

We will travel in March to meet my older sister..she lives in North Carolina.

All in all everyone has been great to him.

We were K-1 visa we had our interview on 21 February they told us we were approved and then told us we went into AP but got our visa April 20th.

Ahmed is working today so I am doing some weekly deep cleaning. Laundry, sweeping and mopping, dusting, bathtubs and toilets. (someone has to do it)

I am sooooo proud of my daughter....I got a notice in the mail today from her college that she has been invited to join two National Honor Societies because of her Grades.

We went to see The Unborn last weekend....I thought it was good but the people in the theatre were sooooo loud that they continued to scream 5 mins after something scary happened making the rest of us miss the next part of the movie because we couldn't hear.

So I think the next scary movie will just have to wait until the DVD comes out so we can watch it in our own living room and hear it. LOL

We will go to our friends house to play a cool card game called pounce. Have any of you heard of it?

If they told him Congratulations and kept the passport then it is probably fine. However, with Cairo you can never tell.

They usually always answered my emails. I would say 95% of the time anyway. Wwhen I was going through the process they answered in about 3 to 5 days. Sometimes it would take them awhile especially during the Holidays. Some give better answers than others so if I got the generic answer I would send again the same day cause I think they take turns answering and some give better answers.

I also learned to put Urgent Question or Urgent need reply.

Sometimes if you put too much info in your email they skip it. I learned to only put one question per email because they would answer one and not the others sometimes.

Twilight was the best. I just finished reading the fourth book. The movie was good but the books are always better.

wow...there are times when I know we are boring but it is not by choice.....We have alot on us financially speaking right now.......with my daughter in college....sometimes it leaves us no money to go out with. My husband just tells me at least we are together and not apart anymore.

However, we try to go out at least once a month to a movie and dinner, bowling, or have friends over and hang out playing games.

We spend alot of time as a group with our friends.........who happen to be my daughter's boyfriend's family. When it is warm we spend alot of time at their lake house.

We spend most of our nights cuddled up in front of the gas logs watching TV together. At least we agree on our TV shows we watch.

When Ahmed came through Atlanta Airport he did nto receive an EAD stamp. WHne I had called prior to his arrival they said they no longer give the EAD stamps.

Good Morning Everyone.

Yes Olivia my daughter is on her way back to College also....time passes quickly though..you will be on your way to Egypt for your Summer Vacation before you know it.

It is freezing here in Alabama also.....24 degrees Farenheit!!! Yuck!! However, tonight I will be nice and cozy in front of my new gas logs that are being installed today.

Hubby is learning what cold really is now that he is here and not in Egypt anymore.

Really I feel sad for you to assume that all men are so superficial. I know personally of someone who fits into that category, and her husband has been here for quite some time. They are still together, the are still happy and yes, in love.

I am not saying that you are completely wrong, you aren't. But to group everyone in that category is ludicrous. This speaks volumes, however, of your personality.

Oh and for Cheryl and Ahmed, you are a sweetheart. I have never seen anyone talk bad about you either here in VJ or there.

For heaven sakes people, why is everyone so sure that expats is merely to trash people? Sure, we do that, but no more than is done here on VJ. And if you get to know the people there, and the personalities, you will see that much of what is said is just playful teasing.
