    What are you getting your Mena Man for Valentine's Day???

    I guess I am not the romantic type because I am going to get my hair done that day. Hey....valentines can be any day if you want, but to schedule that great stylist isn't that easy. :thumbs:

    :dance: Sounds good to me! I swear I think it should be about "loving YOU too" :P Hair, nails, toes and massages...I'm all for it! SPA DAY PLZZZ!!! :dance:

    Now I could go for that...especially a pedicure and massage. :thumbs:

    Nice.... now Ive always wondered about this. How much does it cost for manicure and pedicure and massage in the US?

    Depends on where you are....here in Alabama I can get both a pedicure and manicure for $45. I am not sure how much a massage is here but would love to find out. :P

    Good Morning and Happy Sunday Everyone!!! (F)

    We are trying to relax around here today...we wanted to go to the store today but my daughter has a very high fever and not feeling well..... so I guess mom will have to stay around the house and take care of her.

    I hate it when my daughter feels bad. Even though she is 18 she is still my baby and always will be. But her fever is so high she is weak and her whole body hurts so I don't want to leave her alone.

    If she is not better by tomorrow I will take off and go to doctor with her. I can't take her to the Emergency Room today because the co-pay has gone up to $100 for Emergency Room visits and the Doctor is only $30. I am sure it is just a bad virus or a bacterial infection which in either case all they will do is give her some medicine.

    Anyway I hope you all are having a great Sunday.

    What are current K1 filers thinking, talking and planning for regarding dates of marriage after entry. For members who have "been there / done that" what would you do differently and why?

    Sorry but I had to put a N/A question in each poll due to technical or intellectual limitations.. :blush:

    Ahmed arrived on April 25th 2008 and we married in the court house on April 28th 2008 but then had a small wedding ceremony with family and friends on June 28th 2008.

    What would I do different? Nothing...LOL I wanted to marry right away but I also wanted wedding pictures to cherish forever. I got both. :dance:

    I am having CRS (can't remember stuff) syndrome right now and cannot remember when we filed our AOS. I know it was approved quickly and he got his Green Card in September So I am thinking we file it in June. I will look and let you know if that is right.

    LOL my memory was better than I thought it was June 3 when we filed AOS and he received his Green Card in September. :P

    Well my husband has been here for 9 months now.......so I am taking him to an Arabic Valentine's Day Party in Atlanta Georgia to enjoy an arabic band and Food. I thought he would love having a taste of home for a change.

    HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE!!!

    It is a wonderful 65 degrees here todaay :dance::dance:

    Helping my sister take care of some business for our mother gave me a chance to be outside in the wonderful weather.

    Ahmed is working today until 5pm :crying: But our friends called and invited us bowling tonight so we may be going with them. Will have to make sure he is not too tired.

    By the way Egypt is the only country celebrates Vday twice a year once in Feb and once in Nov ;) we adore love more i think ;)

    For those whose husbands don't get them anything, I'm fairly certain that Vday isn't a traditional holiday in the Middle East, so your hubby's most likely didn't grow up knowing about it or celebrating it, and doesn't understand the meaning that it's taken on in the US.

    At this point, I don't understand the purpose of having just one day a year that's supposed to be extra special to show your spouse you love them? You should show each other every day. :star:

    Vday is just another way for Hallmark and the florists and chocolate makers to get your hard earned and in short supply these days - cash. :P

    Well I think I have decided to just do the Arabic Valentine's Party with Arabic Band also and just stick to that. He will love it and it is $50 for the both of us plus the drive is 3 hours so gotta budget for the gas :P I have already gotten his card.

    Ahmed told me Egypt had two Valentine Days...but he also said the girls always bought for the guys and the guys did not buy for the girls. Sounds Fishy :devil:

    I am sorry Tasha that Ayman won't be back for Valentine's...but you have that handsome baby Malek to keep you company :D

    Olivia I know exactly what u r saying. I'm lucky if i get a card. I hint and hint and hint. To know avail, I get squat.

    I plan on trying to get him something very special. He is looking into a notebook so I thought I may just go out and buy it for him.

    You too Turia very nice present for Valentine's Day. :thumbs:

    I like to see what other ppl r getting but we usually don't celebrate it. We hardly celebrate our anniversary. I drop hints like jewelry and flowers would be nice but it remains to be seen what may come once we're together for these events.

    Well I hope when you are together your special occassions will be alot more special. (F)
