We are applying the IR1 visa and from Hong Kong

And we already got the interview date from the hk Embassy General 

However we just saw there s a form #DS-2001, it status that if you have prepared all the documents for interviews you will need to mail this form to the hk Embassy General.

We are wondering if this form is still needed ? As we do not see so much post talking about this recently.

And we also read online need to confirm the interview date one week before the interview, but we didn't find any way we can do the confirmation.. wondering how to do the confirmation?

If we didn't find it... So it is still need to wait for the IRS verification of the tax transcripts.....

Hello everyone

We got a question about the financial supporting documents.

We are filling the I-864 form which also need to the financial supporting documents to upload to the system

As my husband income is enough to support me, per the nvc website shown the supporting documents will needed the IRS tax transcripts.

However my husband information can't verify in the IRS website, and he try to call the IRS office still having the same problem. He known it must be the social security office have his information wrong and caused it.

Anyway he try to fixe it but take quite a long time, as he sent the information to social security office twice but still not updated it. 

As the IRS tax transcripts might need to take a long time to done.

We would like to know if the documents by his employer that's show how much tax he paid in lasted three year can be the supporting documents? (Sorry I can't remember what is that document call..seem like w3 /w5)

Sent few outside normal processing time inquiry but no reply. 

Our application got lost in the 1st time... already waited for a year to find out..

But this time still have no progress 😔 

Wondering if most of you guys submitted I130in July already got approved? 

We submitted online and received noa1 on 7 July, but no update yet.

We don't know we were worrying if our application filled the wrong information so that they rejected us. 

But actually my husband had been updated his DOB to the SSN office years ago, 

but they still not yet update the system until this year our application is pending. 

It was so depressing that waiting long time for nothing

no..until my husband called them again and again on July, then they find out there is an error tag in our file. 

And then they raise the case the to senior level to explains to him .

my husband called them in Apr, May, June, the staff keep telling him everything is fine they already mail the NOA1 to him and confirm the address again and again.

We finally know the reason why we got nothing from the USCIS.

USCIS said as my husband DOB is not same as their record, they put a processing error on our file. 

My husband had sent many time to correct the DOB before, but they have not update yet. 

So now they confirm the record had been updated and match with our application doc. they put an expedite tag on our file. 

Not knowing why my husband call and ask so many time, but they keep told him the letter already sent 

Hope we do not need to wait another half year again

Also we have one more question

As my husband date of birth in the social security record is wrong, he tried to correct it for few times.

But till now the social security have not update his record now.

Will it also affect our application processing ?

Ohh... Really?!  As my husband said they will not disclose anything on the phone...so.....

We submit the the I-140 package by courier at mid Feb 2020

But we are still haven't received anything.

My husband called the office few times, and they replied they sent the noa1 already and still processing but we wait for about 1 and half month we still haven't received anything. We only want to have the reference number then we can check online 😥😥

My husband had fill the g-1145 form, but he do not received any email, sms message.

I am so worry about that 😥😥

We don't have the joint account in the current situation, we can still submit the I 130?

I am so worry if the I 130got rejected, we will got black listed by the USCIS 

Also I take a look of the ITIN, so if I got the ITIN I will need to pay the tax in US even I am not working in US ?

I am preparing the document for the I 130.

I am from hk, and my husband is born in us. We met each other online start from 2015.

We get married last year September in hk 

However, we never live together, we kept flight o us and hk to meet and message everyday.

The proof of our marriage right now we having traveling record... Tons of photos... 

We have no joint account as they needed the SsN. And as we are not live together he cannot add me into the lease. 

I would like to ask what else if support documents we can provide to be a strong evidence? 

And I will change my name this month.

And will ask his family to write the letter.
