  1. Yea, I think that would be problematic. I've heard of some Americans getting their Venezuelan visas in Mexico, but man that's a lot to go through.
  2. I'm a U.S. citizen and my wife is Venezuelan. I would like to get a tourist visa to visit her country\family. What's the best way to get a Venezuelan visa?
  3. Congratulations. You managed to get in early enough to get processed quickly. I submitted on 10/31/22 and STILL have yet to be approved.
  4. Thank you for the feedback. I understand that parole lasts 2 years. My question is, once the I-134 is approved, and they are free to travel to the United States, is there a time limit when they must leave? I would assume it wouldn't be a good idea to delay too long after it is approved.
  5. I was wondering if anyone can answer a few questions I have about the I-134 form. 1) Should I list my beneficiary as a dependent even if she is not currently financially dependent on me? I'm still a little confused about this because I've seen some people who do and some who don't. 2) Would a monthly social security check count as an asset? and 3) If the beneficiary is paroled, is there a time limit when they would have to leave to the U.S.?
  6. Hi, could you expound on this a little more? The I-485 wouldn't take the place of the I-130, would it? Back to my original question, I'm assuming that going the I-134 route won't conflict with the I-130 process? It's a bit unconventional, so I want to make certain I'm not sabotaging myself in the process.
  7. Thanks, you've been very helpful. I'm sure more questions will be forthcoming.
  8. Pardon me if this is not the correct forum for this question. I'm on the sub-section entitled, "Income information for the individual agreeing to financially support the beneficiary". The first question is, "What is the total number of dependents?" If I'm married with no kids, would my dependent be "1", even though she is currently living aboard and is not financially dependent on me, or should I leave it at "0"? The second question is, "What is the total income?" Are they asking for my yearly gross income? They don't give any explanations for these questions.
  9. I'm a U.S. citizen and my wife is a Venezuelan national. I've already started form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative), but now I see there's a new process for Venezuelans that could allow her to come to the U.S. sooner using form I-134. My question is, if I apply for form I-134, would it interfere with form I-130? More info about I-134 here https://www.uscis.gov/venezuela
