Same thing I told her, she should have filed for an extension. She said she wasn’t aware. She is a US citizen, can she file for a green card for him or would the overstay be a problem.

Hi, My friend’s Dad has a valid tourist visa till 2027 but he overstayed his first entry by 3months in 2023. She said he fell ill, was admitted and traveled back after he was discharged from the hospital. She also said He has a medical note to prove he was in the hospital. He wants to visit her again but is afraid due to his overstay. Do you think he would be guaranteed a re-entry?
