Hi,
I also have plans to move out of my current state. I would like to understand what’s your old state and new state and also was the physical initial interview letter was forwarded from old to new address to new address. Please let me know. Your answer would give some guidance and confidence on my plan to a different state. Also, I see in your new state, you got the interview after 3 months of moving. Just for argument, if you would got interview before 3 months, would it have created any problem in the interview as you need to be in the current address for at least 3 months in your current address to apply for citizenship?
my original state was NJ, my current state is Texas.
I don’t think the time I was living in my new state would raise a problem, because I think this is related to your application day.

Hi Fellow 2020 Septemberers!!!
I just became a citizen today. I applied in 9/22/2020 and here it goes my timeline:
9/22/20: Window opens and I sent my application online
10/1/20: Got my NOA from USCIS via mail (in which it is said that the notice date, received date, and priority date are 9/22 (the same day I submitted the application)).
5/15/21: Biometric appointment scheduled
6/11/21: Biometrics completed
7/14/21: Interview scheduled for 8/9/2021 (however, I have moved, and even tough I had told USCIS that I moved in June 19, I still got an interview from my old address). I cancelled the interview and requested a new date.
9/8/21: New interview scheduled for 10/28/21
10/28/21: Interview day! Interviewer was super nice, not much of wait. I brought some documents, He told me that I did the favor of submitting more than enough documents online and he did not have to see any more documents and that he would recommend my case to be approved. (Also, he laughed a lot after seeing a picture of my husband and I with Rosie O'Donnell)
10/29/21: I checked on my USCIS that my oath ceremony was schedule for 11/10/21. It was really quick, actually the letter only arrived around 11/5, but they upload myUSCIS much quicker than USPS delivers the mail.
11/10/21: I became an american citizen and my journey here is over. Thank you everyone for the advice and good luck!
this forum was so helpful, I feel like I have to pay it back. So, should there be any questions about my journey, I am more than glad to help.
My case was very typical, but I guess the only "unique" part is the fact that I moved out of state during the process and got my interview at my old field office and I had to call USCIS to re-schedule. It was a bit frustrating because I sent them a notice that I moved actually at the day of y move (it was a fantastic 4 day -long cross-country road trip), but I was unlucky that they send me the interview notice 1 week after I move and apparently it takes 2 weeks to they process the change of address request. Anyway, the outcome was great at the end and I feel great being a dual-citizen now. Best of luck everyone!

Hi Everyone! So I applied for my N400 online on Sept 28, 2020 and my case timeline shows May 2021 as completion time. But it has been one month now and no update so far on biometric appointment is that expected? The status currently shows "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time."
Application location - New Jersey
Same here and also from NJ.
I think that, unless you have some urgent need of obtaining the citizenship, we need to sit down and wait, otherwise we will go crazy.... I feel like it’s very unlikely it will be completed until May...

Update: Received I-751 interview notice today. Assuming this will be a merged interview and that means I very likely will be a citizen in 24 days.
Interview is scheduled for November 17.
That’s exciting!
best of luck!

Hello Guys
can any one of you help me to find study material for our citizenship test.
That’s a good way to start.

also, you can download the official app and take daily quizzes!
Good luck!

Just got my NOA by mail. The receive date is the same as the Notice Date, and Priority Date. Whatever it means... LOL.
Will just keep waiting. I'm much more patient for the N-400 stuff than I was for the ROC. But, it always feels good to receive mails from the USCIS... 😂 -

If you were here in the US between your 18th and 26th birthday, you have to mark "yes". The place where it asks you for date of registration, mark that as did not register or leave the deates blank with a comment.
Not sure if it is true. It’s said: “This does not include living in the United States as a lawful nonimmigrant”. H1B is a non-immigrant visa, as far as I am concerned.

Good luck everyone! -
Morning everyone!
my window opens next week. I’ve got my ROC approved already, but I wonder if I have to send all the evidence again or would they use the one I sent before?
I am asking this because in the N-400 website they would only list as supporting documents our joint tax refunds (for the last 3 years) or leases/ loans or mortgages and my spouse proof of citizenship.
what are your thoughts or experiences?
thank you!

I've heard this about interviews, too. If you have an interview for AOS, you might get it waived for ROC. If your interview was waived for AOS, expect to be interviewed for ROC. Don't think it has anything to do with the specific service center (as in, I don't think it's possible to get both interviews waived at some service centers but not others) but not sure.
If you don't have to go through AOS I think you'll need to do an ROC interview regardless.
You’re right:
From USCIS website: https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-revises-interview-waiver-guidance-for-form-i-751
Generally, USCIS officers must interview a conditional permanent resident who is the principal petitioner on a Form I-751, unless the interview is waived. This guidance explains that officers may consider waiving an interview if they are satisfied that:
- For Form I-751 cases received on or after December 10, 2018, USCIS has previously interviewed the principal petitioner;
- There is no indication of fraud or misrepresentation in the Form I-751 or the supporting documentation; and
- There are no complex facts or issues that require an interview to resolve.

Hey Folks,
just got an email from USCIS stating that my card was ordered. :) I guessing means it was approved, right??? I haven’t seen the word “Approved”, but the email says the card was ordered and they will mail it to me.
I’m an EAC filer.
My updated timeline:
9/23 - I-751 sent
9/25 - Received date
9/26 - notified by USPS that package was delivered
9/27 - received texted message from USCIS saying that they’ve received it on September 25 - NOA date is 9/27
9/30 - check was deposited
10/3 - NOA received
10/29- Biometrics completed
6/25 - e-mail from USCIS saying: “Your case status: Card/ Document Production”
“On June 25, 2020, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EAC199014****, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. “

Just to share that I was able to renew my driver’s license with the extension letter. So, it works. I confess that I was a little skeptical.

I have a questions, once you file for removal of condition when can you expect to receive the extension letter?
It varies a lot. Here in the forum the average is 15 days.
However, USCIS will tell you to contact them if you don’t receive it in a month.

I've just got my I797, and would like to give you a little update on my timeline:
I-751 timeline/ EAC9/23: I-751/ G-1145 sent by USPS Priority Mail
9/25: Received Date
9/26: Notified by USPS that the package was delivered (one day later... 🙄)
9/27: NOA1 Date (also the day on which USCIS texted me saying that they've received my package on 9/25)
9/30: Check was cashed
10/3: Received NOA1 by mail with 18 months extension
Now is the time to try and relax because, as per the reports in this forum, I should not be contacted by them anytime soon. But, I can't lie that I am somewhat relieved with the I-767 on my hands.
Updating:
I received my Biometrics appointment today, 10/21. The notice date is 10/11 and the appointment is for 10/29.

Hey everyone.
I’m new at this forum. So, please let know if this is not the appropriate thread. But, I am a September filer as well. My case went to EAC/ Vermont, I wonder if there is any spreadsheet for Vermont as it does for other sites. Thanks!

I got the same thing and I was approved. Perhaps, they just randomly select some cases for quality control.
