  1. IQuit of course she will get through this, and all i have said is as i have said, i have no reason to say otherwise, im just venting...mainly im venting because im desperately in love with and miss my wife and son and anything that seems to possibly delay us being together again drives me crazy....i havent seen my wife since feb 19 and my son since he was 5 weeks old on feb 19th...so it makes me BALIW!!!! maybe im the one that needs the psych evaluation!!!ahahahahaah anyways PrettynPink she had the Psych appt and like you said it was a short visit, and they told her to call monday for an appt for the rest of all this chuvaness....i think thats where my frustration comes from....she has her interview on the 17th which as it appears will be a week and possibly less than all this extra she has had to do at st lukes.....anyways case closed im just griping bout something i have no control over and i know it will all work out in the end i just hope that "end" is soon cuz I MISS MY WOMAN!!!!!!!! and my handsome son!!!!!

  2. IQuit common do you really believe I care about the 21.38 thats not the point we're going with the flow and doing as instructed I'm just venting my frustrations here. As far as "head cases" i think stateside we produce enough of them as it is, so im on-board with you on that. IN PRINCIPAL though from what ive read and understand this medical exam is to insure your Physical state for example you dont have a communicable disease, and that you have the neccesarry immunizations etc etc etc . Thats why im venting my frustrations..... the next time she goes it will be her 4th day there, we have an infant child who is breastfeeding, thank God my wife is in Malolos and not Baguio!!!!! Its the principle my man, and there seeming disregard. Dont get me wrong IM the one thats frustrated because im here and she is there, but as for her she is taking it all in stride. I hope its ok that i gripe a lil

  3. ya the strange thing is i myself have never even noticed it and its an accidental scar gotten while she was an athelete in college, my wife said its very very light and its a single scar....i personally think the doctor made too big of an issue of it and didnt believe her explanation after all this is a physical exam, i didnt think a mental work up was part of getting a visa unless youre criminally insane........ anyways in the long run unless it delays her interview it will just be a momentary blip on the radar so to speak but if it does delay our being together after almost a year since we filed ill be a lil more frustrated

  4. Im very upset with St lukes...My wife went for her medical at SLEC she had all neccessary documents and so forth, and the first day went much like everyone else has described. The only thing that my wife related to me that seemed out of place was that during her physical examination with the doctor. "physically" everything was ok. But upon her detailed search the doctor noticed a single scar on her forearm above her wrist. So she questioned her on it and my wife told her that she got it as an athlete in college and the doctor kept pushing her that she felt she had suicidal tendencies and so on and just would not accept her answer. So that was that she returned the second day and did much waiting and the day proceded and we had both assumed that by the end of the day she would have whatever immunizations she needed and all would be released and fine.....well apparently that wasnt to be. By the end of the day she recieved an appointment notice for 8am the next morning to speak with a psychiatrist!!!!! HAY NAKO!!!!!!! Now let me say here i have know my wife since 2005 we have been husband and wife since 2007 I have examined her body very closely and at no time do i remember seeing a scar on her arm apparently my wife says its very light and its a single scar, also of all the woman i have known my wife is the most sane person ive ever known, anyways i just had to say that so anyways she has to return and also pay an extra 1000.00 pesos plus transportation etc etc and still she has to return next week for finally finishing this ordeal I HOPE...frankly i think the doctor just did this to get another thousand out of us her interview at the Embassy is a week from next wednesday and its my worry all of this drawn out medical at SLEC will delay that....has anyone ever heard of such an experience like this? I mean there is nothing physically wrong with her this is a PHYSICAL exam is it not? why the Psychicological delays?

  5. From Wikepedia:

The Cowboys are the most successful team of the modern era (since 1960). They have won 5 Super Bowls and 8 Conference Championships. The Cowboys have more victories (40) on Monday Night Football than any other NFL team; the Miami Dolphins are 2nd with 39 and the San Francisco 49ers are 3rd with 38.[5] They hold NFL records for the most consecutive winning seasons (20, from 1966 to 1985) and most seasons with at least 10 wins (25). The team has earned the most postseason appearances (29, which includes another league record of 56 postseason games, winning 32 of them), the most appearances in the NFC Championship Game (14), and the most Super Bowl appearances (8), two more than any other NFL team. The Cowboys also played in 2 NFL championship games before the NFL's 1970 merger with the American Football League. The Cowboys became the first team in NFL history to win 3 Super Bowls in just 4 years (a feat that has been matched only once since, by the New England Patriots). They are also tied with the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers for having the most Super Bowl wins (5). The Cowboys' success and popularity has earned them the nickname "America's Team

HERE, HERE!!! I agree wholeheartedly!!!!!!! How bout them cowboys!!!!!! oh hey man congrats on your fiancee arriving it looks like tommorow i guess???

yeah ours is sept 17th if yall wanna update it

  7. OK simple question our case was completed at the NVC for a CR-1 visa on July9th and my wife has her interview for Sept 17th according to my call to the NVC tday. what can we do to "take care of" as much as possible, can we pay DELBROS now and what the best course of action on that, as i have heard of people having trouble with that chuvaness once there interview comes its not "registered" or the DOCS arent verified...anyways since it seems we have some time between now and the interview, any direction or instructions etc will help tremendously!

  8. i didnt read through all the post but i dont think MOST of the girls pettioned on a K-1 from the Philippines are former bargirls. It sometimes perplexes me how Americans can be so myopic and uninformed. My wife is an educated woman who before our first child was born worked as the Finance Officer for a nice sized company located in San Juan MM, but i still have friends and aquaintances that when they find out your wife is going through the process of getting a visa that she must be trying to "escape" a life of poverty and destitution, that she just cant wait to live in the USA. In some cases that might be the case but i tend to think thats the exception rather than the rule. And for those women and or men that do so I say more power to them as well. Insofar as marriage fraud Im not by any means saying it doesnt happen but in most cases in the Phils its my opinion that they are bona fide relationships, whereas I have met men in the US that have been paid 5000 plus by mexican women in order for them to get here legally. Im sure the same is true of men.

The problem is i think that some consular officers tend to have that same myopic view I mentioned as well and it jades there judgement at times. Have you ever noticed the plate glass windows they sit behind at the USEM i dont think they come out of those boxes very often. That being said im sure alot of them do a fine job. Anyways tell your nephew best of luck and I hope it all works out for him in the end.

Forgive me if this rant didnt make any sense I just completed a 15 hour workday and im running on fumes but had to vent for some reason....

  9. really? oh my! hubby and i are planning to call USEM tom and sched my interview by Aug. I'll post here if we were able to get an Aug interview * i really hope we can get an Aug interview*

Its my understanding that the NVC schedules the appointments after recieving dates from the Embassy. It looks like your going the K-3 route which maybe you will be a little more fortunate than we appeared to be but I dunno....maybe someone else can shed some light on this subject.

  10. cool, congrats angkano, our sons CRBA appointment went smoothly as well it was on the 9th, we had all of our papers in order but the CO still told my wife that it was possible we might require a DNA test and then she pulled out a pic of myself as a baby and well it was "obvious ba!!" so the CO was like..."oh yeah that is definitely this mans son" we were approved and should recieve it in bout three weeks he said.

  11. I was told yesterday by the NVC operator that all interview slots for August had been filled, has anyone else who has called recently been told the same, or if you do call tday or the next few days could you post here with what they said regarding August im guessing its just for CR1s but please let me know what you find out

  12. ok i called NVC today and the message change to "we recieved some documents on june 30, please wait 6 to 8 weeks bla bla bla" now i know what those docs are the DS230 etc.... so is this the same as the date entered into the system? Im assuming thats a different message huh?? i mean basically they just opened my envelope and they got the nvc case number and entered that update and filed it away for someone to review and ENTER it into the system theyre just sayin that it was recieved correct? damn is it just me or when u get to this stage of the wait it just draggggggggggggggggggggsssssss!!! I MISS MY FAMILY :crying::crying:

  13. My question is probably rather simple to answer, but for the life of me I'm still unclear on the exact process when it comes to the medical at St Lukes. My wifes file will soon leave the NVC and I want to be fully prepared and informed. When we are certain that the case has left the NVC how is the Medical handled? Do we or my wife make the appointment? Or does the USEM automatically schedule a medical appointment after they recieve the file? Can she do the medical now with only the NVC case number as a reference at the medical.....Believe me, I try to figure this stuff out before asking but if you folks would humor me and help me out with this i would very much appreciate it.

    Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

  14. Well with regards to my wife I always try to recall Proverbs 31:10-31 but especially the following:

Proverbs 31:10-11----A capable wife who can find? Her value is far more than that of corals. In her the heart of her owner has put trust and there is no gain lacking.

31:28-29---Her sons have risen up and proceeded to pronounce her happy; her owner rises up and he praises her. There are many daughters that have shown

capableness, but you-you have ascended above them all

  15. Yep he's sobrang gwapo our son, and so healthy i feel extremely blessed to have found the love of my life and to share the joys and hardships of parenthood.....well thats just too amazing for words!! but yeah bluemist ill PM you around the 8th or 9th and let you know how it went and what to expect...btw ur lil girl is quite cute as well

  16. dang duce! your repressing her Pinoy heritage!!!! j/k I dunno bout yall but after years of living in Southeast Asia I for myself prefer the food above all others...especially and no disrespect to my wife and all the Pinoys in this forum but the food from West Sumatra Indonesia...Padang to be exact according to my pallette is the best!!! That being said I also really love my wifes cooking. We have a dirty kitchen at our house in the phils as well and I must say the only time the smell infiltrates the rest of the house is when my mom n law makes bagoong.....but its worth it cuz she makes some killer bagoong!!! Has anyone attempted to build a "dirty kitchen" at there homes in the States...(depending on how long we stay in the States I was considering building one), i want to re-create a lil asian paradise in the back yard so might as well include a dirty kitchen...hehehehe. anyone done that or do they just stick to the electric skillets???

  17. Hello Cory,

Since the NVC received your Choice of Agent, they will now send you the visa fee bill which is the $400 one. The $70 is for the AOS which you should be receiving shortly. If you don't want to pay and generate these bills and forms online, you can just wait for the NVC to send them to you and you can pay them using a cashier's check or money order. You can also follow James' shortcuts to generate your own forms and not have to wait for the NVC to send them. It's all up to you.

    Diana

Is the IV bill payment $400 is the actual payment for the visa on the passport?

not really that is the payment for the application for the visa...your significant other will also have to pay other fees when the medical and interview times come....in other words the 400 plus the 70 for the Aff of Supp isnt the end of the fees....

  18. im not suggesting you do it but I did sneak some bagoong back well not on purpose and i hope i dont get chewed out by anyone for doing so, but yeah bagoong, and calamansi i brought back with me on my carry on...my mother in-law refused to take no for an answer, plus i really really like her bagoong so i brought that thru LAX again i dont suggest it but i had to confess!!!!!
