HI GUYS ! In 2007 I started my journey with my husband. We had meet in early 2006 and married December of that year. After being scammed by a women who claimed to do immigration paper work and waiting 2 months to later find out that she hadn't filled a single paper, I decided to take things into my own hands. Luckily visa journey existed and thanks to this platform I had my husband her from cuba in 7mo. Originally I had been told it would take 2 years.

Well here we are 11 years and 2 kids later and we are so happy and thankful for visa journey.

My husband came from cuba a year ago and now he wants to go back to visit. we want to renew his passport but want to know how long it will take does anyone have any ideas

your fiance would have to do all the arangments for the flight and yes cuban immigration needs to know what flight he is taking befor he gets his permision to leave.

P.S Its not cuz im cuban its cuz of GOD. Im 100% sure of this. I Fill out immigration paper work probono and most of my cases are cubans and trust me they dont go this fast. I have one that started in july and they dont have an interview till april 2008 and its a fiance visa.

Finally after 2 years we are together for good.

NVC doesn't schedule the interview. The US consulate in Juarez will schedule you interview.

Also you mentioned your age. What type of visa did you apply for?

Reeses16 NVC schedules interviews for some embassys if they have told her this when she called then shes right NVC is going to schedule her interview its just a matter of waiting till they do so. They schdule interviews on the second week of every month so if they dont have interviews till december they will not set her interview till the second week of Nov and she wont find out till 4th week of Nov at the latest (for example )

Something has just come up regarding my health. I was just diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis and have a blood clot in my leg that could move and be fatal. This medical condition is 30% fatal in cases diagnosed with this medical issue (pulmonary embolism). I was reading in the USCIS website that sometimes they are able to accelerate the processing of an application due to extreme circumstances. My question is does this medical situation of the Deep Vein Thrombosis constitute an extreme emergent situation? I am taking medication for the blood clot, but even if they get this one blood clot taken care of there is still a chance of more blood clots forming.

Anyways we asked our lawyer and he said we could try this procedure but since it's not included in the K-3 visa he'd have to charge us extra for it... when all it takes is a phone call and sending the proofs...

Your lawyer like most lawyers are is just trying to take the most money he can get. I got my interview moved up because im pregnant and all i did was call NVC and tell them my situation all you have to do is send them an email with your case number and atten PI supervisor sue in the subject and explane your situation along with all the medical evedance that you have if your case is still not at NVC and still at USCIS then all you have to do is call and tell them and they will be more then happy to tell you what you have to do. just tell them that you would like to know how you can get your case expidited for medical reasons and they will tell you

Hi everyone, we finally have the interview September 26th. Does anyone know if it is necessary to translate the police and military records into english? I have my husband's birth certificate in both languages as well as our marriage certificate but I didn't know if was necessary for the police and military. If anyone knows or has any tips please let me know. Thanks in advance

I just got back from my husbands interview and everything was in spanish they have to take it in spanish since spanish is cubas native language. They also dont ask for military records I suggest that you go to the interview because it prevents your husband from having to make the line to enter the embassy which means he will be one of the first to be interviewed and if he gets approved he will get his visa the same day if he gets interviewed after 12 he might have to come back later to get it.

I just got of the phone with my husband he is doing his paper work for the Carta Blanca ( cuba's permission to leave the country). He was told by the lady at immigration that he has to wait for his release from military service that has to be sighned by the FAR (Revolutionary armed forces). Before they can give him his Carta Blanca. He already has a paper that says he is releaved of duty because he has asthma but the lady at immigration says that paper is no good and it has to be one sent directly to them from the FAR. She told him " maybe they will sign of on your carta blanca if you get lucky if not you have to wait for the FAR to sign and that can take up to 6 months". I couldnt belive it I have a really big feeling that she siad that to scare my husband and that thats not true. just because thats how the cuban goverment works they try to scare you when you want to leave cuba and they make your life a living hell because to them its like your a trator for leaving but if it is true that he has to wait that long its going to be really hard on us since our baby is due in march. Well all I have left to do is wait and pray and I ask anyone out there that reads this to please pray for us because when your at the mercy of cuban immigration the only thing you can do is pray.

Im so happy my husbands visa was approved on Sept 13. I went to the interview with him and it was great we got there like at 7:30 and our interview was at 10 then they told us to return at 2:30 to pick up the visa. When we got there at 2:30 our visa was still not ready so we waited till 4:30. they asked him alot of questions but he answered them all. It was really good that i went with him because we didnt have to make the line to inter the embassy and thats why we had an early interview if not our interview would of been like at 1 or 2 and our visa wouldnt of been ready till the 14 or 17. well now all we are waiting for is for cuban immigration to say its ok for my husband to leave cuba that can take from 15-30 days depending on what siad of the bed they wake up on ( gotta love cuba )

I know I have read this in another post but it was a very long time ago and things change all the time in cuba so i just want to check.

My husband got him medical exam but the doctor didnt give it to him in a sealed envelope and they told him that they never do it that way and that the US embassy never gave them an envelope to put the medical exams in, but the Packet that I recived says that on the day of the interview my husband needs to bring in the x-ray and the medical exam in a sealed envelope

I just got off the phone with NVC they told me my appointment is on the 13th of Sept instead of October 23rd like the Cuban intrest sections 1800 number had told me. Since NVC is now an appointment post for Cuba they are doing the interview scheduling so now instead of the appointment I scheduled with their old 1800 appointment number I have a better sooner appointment.

I once asked the us intrest section in Havana why the pettitions were approved to quickly and there risponse was that its because there appointments take 4 months to schdule from the time the case is complete at NVC so they approve the pettitions quicker to that people dont excide a waiting time of 12 months. they also said that because you never know with the cuban goverment they like to work as fast as they can because one day fidel might wake up and say ok no ones getting outta here visa or no visa.

How do these things happen? Did I miss something in Health 101?

OMG i cant belive im pregnant I spent 4 days in cuba 3 weeks ago with my husband and now i find out im preganant.

Is anyone trying to use DORA for AOS in Texas? I've been trying to book appointments and there are none available (probably due to the huge increase in price).

Now in many cases where a K-1 has been delayed, refused or denied at a US Consulate, lawyers have advised clients to simply get married and file and I-130. That is not good advice, unless the attorney also advises the petitioner to pay close attention to the K-1 that has been sent back to the Service Center from the consulate.

If a Service Center begins a revocation proceeding for that K-1 petition, a petitioner’s failure to respond will mean that DHS will revoke the approval of the petition. When that happens, the 212(a)(6)(c )(i) that is pending in our beneficiary file, will become hard finding of Misrepresentation, under 9 FAM 40.63 N10.1 (above).

A Rude Surprise at the Second Consular Interview

Our love birds have followed their lawyer’s advice and forgotten about the K-1 petition. A NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny) letter comes in the mail and petitioner calls his lawyer. The lawyer says,

“Don’t worry about it. She’s your wife now. The K-1 petition is irrelevant.”

The lovebirds have taken the plunge and married. The petitioner has made another costly visit to the foreign country; bought another round trip airplane ticket, and maybe he has even sprung for a costly wedding ceremony.

An I-130 Petition for his new bride has been filed. And it is approved by the DHS Service Center. What will happen when his new wife appears at the US Consulate for her next interview?

Because the petitioner did not respond to the K-1 revocation notice, the beneficiary has a 212(a)(6)(c )(i) finding on her record. Even if the petition for her is approved, she is permanently barred from entering the US, unless she can obtain a waiver to that ground of inadmissibility.

It is advised that your husband’s/wives bring a copy or original of everything that you sent to NVC because things can get lost even affidavits. and because of terrorism some embassy’s want police certificates that are no later than 2 months so if your interview is more then 2months from the time you got your police certificate I suggest you get one to bring to the interview otherwise they will just tell you everything is fine but they can’t give you your visa till you bring them an updated Police certificate. There have been cases where the spouse gets to the interview everything goes good but then they ask them to bring an updated police certificate befor they can give them there visa so it delays them like another week depending how long the country takes to give them the PC. Take percautions you dont want to be delayed for something stupid like that when you could of had it ahead of time.
