How can we ask to reopen the ds-260?
Email nvc and request that they reopen the ds260. If you don't have any changes just hit submit

Thank you for your fast response Nanna_lux I appreciate it. Do you know how long it takes to get an appointment?
I think every country may be different. You might have to look at the timelines for your country to get an estimated time frame

Not true. Once submitted, DS-260 will never expire. But, the information entered on the DS-260 may be outdated by the time the applicant gets scheduled for visa interview. The applicant may request the DS-260 to be re-opened for updates, or may simply notify the consulate on the day of the interview about the up-to-date information.
You are wrong. There is actually an expiration date for the DS-260. I uploaded a picture of mine AFTER I asked them to re-open it. It expires after 1 year

How many days does it take for your passport to be ready for pickup after Visa has been issued?

Hello everyone I hope your all doing great. I have two questions and I hope someone on here can help me. Thank you in advance.
We got approved on our documents last month from the NVC.
I have two questions:
My husband submitted his ds-260 in 2020 so my first question is
1) does he have to do it again or will that on still be good?
Yes he will need to update it. DS-260 expires after a year.

Good day everyone
I want to have some ideas from you on this platform..
I can see that some people have gone for their cr1 and k1 interviews in this month of November.. please does it mean they have started realising date for some people..
I know the whole month of October nobody went for cr and k interviews
Yes they started giving dates but it stopped in September. I think it's because they rescheduled interviews for October people to December. This could mean they will send out interviews letters this month for January interviews

I have been documentarily qualified for more than a year and I am still waiting to get a visa interview date.. The NVC keep telling me to be patience, that they are working with the local embassy more than a year now...what do I do?
When were you dq'ed? The current wait time after being dq'ed is about 15 months

I'm facing some challenges here I need someone to help me out...
I have been DQ since December 2021 uptil now I haven't heard about my interview, please does anyone have an idea when I should be expecting my interview.. I'm really getting frustrating.
I need your contribution.
My case is CR1
Thanks
Yes I can help you. Due to backlog, the wait time from dq to interview was 15 months. The last batch of interview letters were sent in September for everyone who was dq'ed in July 2021. They didn't send out any interview letters for spousal visas in October which now makes the wait time longer. If they send out letters at the end of this month, depending on how many they send out, you might hear something by April/May. It may be shorter and it may be longer

The above is not an interview letter it says "your case is ready for your interview WHEN SCHEDULED AT US CONSULAR (meaning NVC has accepted and dq your supporting documents) the WHEN being the important word in your notice
you are now in queue (long line) for the Lagos to say they are ready for the interview
The actual interview letter will give u date of the interview as arranged thru the embassy and NVC acting together
it will tell you what documents are needed / embassy will want the originals of all supporting documents sent to NVC
u may well have an interview after April 15 , 2023 (as it was just dq'd in September 2022) so be prepared to do your 2022 tax returns ASAP to be ready for all to happen / they (along with a new i 864 will be needed if interview is past the 2022 tax deadline
I dont think you read my post correctly. I am NOT in que. I already received my interview letter in September. The interview is scheduled for this month.

your message (email or letter ) should have the case # , both names and both DOB's
and say "please keep my case orpen as we are DQ'd July 9, 2021 and wait for embassy and NVC to schedule the interview"
send that same message once a month till in interview is scheduled and packet sent to embassy
Thank you so much

Can someone tell me what does this mean please:
If your visa petition is currently processing at the National Visa Center, do not let more than one year pass without contacting NVC. If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with NVC, all submitted fees and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.
Is it ANY form of contact or contacting them specifically to let them know it's almost one year? I've been documentary qualified since July 9, 2021.

Hey, how do you know that it's a 1 year backlog

I know that IR1/CR1 got ILs on Wednesday and Thursday of this past week. Several people received them that were DQ'd October and November 2020.
Thank you so much. Is there a way for me to find this information or a website I can check to see where Lagos is in the Visa process?

Hey, has anyone received any news about interviews happening in Lagos or received an interview date?

Bro, just relax for a year frist, then you can start to worry about interview date... I have been dq since March 2020, and still waiting for interview date. Too much of backlogs!!
I was just trying to get an idea of how long the wait time is. And I know of others who have been dq AFTER March 2020 and received an interview date
