Guys I just checked the status again and it changed to ISSUED!  My fiance and I both are very happy. We're still waiting for their email confirmation though.

Oh thanks for the assurance, cos I'm a bit confused on the status.

I just checked again today and it revert back to 'administrative processing' with a new case created date  I was in 'administrative processing' for 5 weeks before it changed to 'application received' yesterday.

My case status changed again to 'Administrative Processing' (I was in that status for about 5 weeks) and the case created date changed as well.

Not sure what this means, hopefully there will be no further issue.

I had my interview on 17 July, it went smoothly, the interviewer kept my passport, then my visa status was under 'Administrative processing' for 6 weeks and today it changed to 'application received'.

Is there anyone can help me what does that means? Why does it go back from administrative processing to application received?

I did my visa interview, it went smoothly and quickly, the interviewer was super nice to us but they provide my 221(g) white slip form asking for further documents but they kept my passport.

Do anyone know anything about what white slip means? How long does it take for them to do the administrative processing?

Anyone went the same process for K1 visa?

Would love to hear similar stories and support each other

Two problems I see.  First, why did your fiance not file taxes for his foreign income?  Even if he doesn't owe anything due to foreign exclusion, he still needs to file unless his income doesn't reach the minimum required.  I'm not clear if he filed or not.

 

What is the joint sponsors income?  If it's also just  a bit above the poverty guideline that would be a cause for concern, and they would need to see things like recent bank statements, paystubs for the last 6 months, and the joint sponsor may need to provide proof of any assets owned that may be enough for your joint sponsor to be approved.

 

If you don't think your joint sponsor has enough, you may need to find a new joint sponsor who can more easily satisfy the need for financial support.

My fiance filed his foreign income as well, but US embassy still requesting for more documents. Since he doesn't have w-2, they are requesting 1099 form, which is also not applicable to us since his clients are outside the US.

His joint sponsor (his parents) are retired but has some investment and bank statement way above the requirement.

Currently we're gathering:

- notarized affidavit from every client

- support letter

- bank statement

- proof of assets (from joint sponsor)

Is that sufficient?

Hi everyone,

I have been interviewed by US embassy, the interview went well and they hold my passport, however US embassy is asking for further documents to proof my fiance financial situation.

He's self-employed and his client is outside the US, making slightly above the minimum but we also have a joint sponsor (his parents).

Since there's no employment, we do not have W2, which means we also don't have 1099.

We have provided tax transcript of him and his parents, but apparently it wasn't enough.

Is there anything we can do to provide extra information to the US embassy? Bank statement, support letter from the client, etc?

Please advise, thank you.
