  1. Not to rub it in for anybody but I just wanted to let you guys know that the Kabul Embassy is issuing K-1 visa. My fiancé was issued the visa about 1.5 months after the interview. I guess I just got lucky or something but all in all I am extremely thankful bc I know people have waited years to get a visa and my fiancé got it in about 10 months. Alhamdulillah
  2. I just noticed when I checked my case on the CEAC status tracker it says that I have an Immigrant Visa Application, when in reality I applied for a K-1 visa which is a Non-Immigrant Visa Application. Anybody else have the same issue?
  3. hey Sahlan ,

my other question for you is do i have to do the ds-160 right away , in order for them to assign me an interview date? or can i just wait till they send me the interview date and then submit it,?

    thank you :)

U can just wait until they send you the interview date and letter then fill out the ds-160.

But you can fill it out early if u want. I waited until I got my interview date. U know just to be sure.

  4. Yah she does wear a hijab and for the medical they didn’t specify if ears need to be shown or not like the passport photos. Yah that’s what I was thinking about the family photos as well since she is not coming with her family. Good luck to both of them.
  5. No it’s tomorrow August 20. Just wanted to ask about the photos that they are asking. They want 16 photos of 3x4, but do your ears need to be shown? Also what’s the deal with the family members photo on a cd in .jpeg format? The wording is confusing.
  6. Did your fiancé have their medical exam yet?
  7. After your case reaches time for an interview appointment these are the documents your fiancé needs to compile and bring to their interview. Please bring the following required documentation to your interview: · Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application, completed. Please bring the DS-160 confirmation page to the interview. Link: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ Note: You must select the “K” visa class. · Passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your entrance in the U.S. (unlesscountry-specific agreements provide exemptions) · Taskera (Original Dari version) and MFA-certified English translation. · Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen petitioner · Medical examination report from Panel Physician. For information on scheduling your medical examination, please see attached AMC medical brochure. · AMC will deliver your completed medical report directly to the Embassy. At the time of interview, please inform the Embassy staff of the date of your medical appointment. · Evidence of financial support: Form I-134, Affidavit of Support. · Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since age 16. Note: Unless otherwise directed by a consular officer at your interview, Police certificates ARE NOT required for Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan. Please see information on how to obtain a police certificate for other counties: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html · Two (2) photographs. Requirements: 2”x 2”/5cmx5cm forward facing photo with ears showing on white background. Please write the applicant name and case number on the back side of each photo. · Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e): Photos, call records, etc. The Consular Officer may ask for additional information, such as photographs and other proof that the relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is genuine. · Payment for fee for K-1 visa: $265.00 USD (Cash Only). This fee is payable at the U.S. Embassy Cashier.
  8. Yah so same thing happened with me. Two months from receiving the letter from the NVC with them stating that my I-129f was sent I received another letter from the embassy stating my interview date and what to bring. So at this point I would just wait until the embassy emails you with an interview date and items to bring to the interview as well. You can contact the embassy to see if they received your case at KabulIV@state.gov. In the mean time you can fill out the DS-160 online and gather the documents for the affidavit of support.
  9. Kabul embassy emailed me this morning. Interview date is September 3rd....now just got to prep for the interview.
  10. Seems like we are in the same boat. I'll update you as well if I here from them.
  11. Yah I emailed them too and I keep getting the same response. That my case is in the queue.
  12. And how many days in advance did they tell you the interview date?
  13. I was getting worried thinking it was just at Kabul that they take such a long time just to appointment an interview date. And who knows how far out they’ll appoint it for. Hopefully next month they open up some new slots. All we can do is just wait. Good luck to you.
