I checked the status of my case now and wow there is an update!!!- "on November 20th 2019 your interview was scheduled" 🙂 I have my uscis account as well and tel# there for updates but I haven't received any txt with this update. I hope to get a notice with interview date before Thanksgiving (I have usps informed delivery so I'll be checking every morning for it now:-) I know I can call Tier 2 for the date, but so busy before Thanksgiving i don't think i will find time to do it 😂😀😃😆

    I'm a Brooklyn filler with PD December 10th 2018.

    I received a notice in mail today-my interview date id January 9th 2020 😀

Has anyone who filed from late December 2018 gotten any interview notices or any updates?

also, I filed for my I-94 with for I-102 with  my adjustment of status because I misplaced the original one. The name is unfortunately spelled incorrectly on the document, does someone have experience with this?

    😓

I filed on Dec 10th 2018 and on Nov 20 they scheduled my interview- as per online update ( i dont know the interview date yet-still waiting for notice in mail)

Are you kidding? 9 months for an EAD? Did you get an RFIE or do you know why they were super slow

Just got interview date in BK. Applied early November, date is just before Christmas. So about 13.5 months in total.

    EAD took 9 months...

wow great news:-) i'm early Dec 2018 Brkln filler so im getting more and more exited that something may actually move forward soon for me as well, and yes, my EAD took 8 months,,,smh..

  5. My friend, who's PD was July 29th 2018, Brooklyn office got her interview last Tuesday October 26th. She received reply that they have to review the case again and have time to decide up to 120 days-it seems its becomes standard answer lately..but her status updated on November 1st already that the post office picked up the card and it will be delivered on Nov 4th (they gave tracking#), so she was lucky she didn't have to wait long after the interview for decision. i hope everyone who gets such reply (that they have 120 days for decision) will not have to wait longer than few days for actual decision.

    Hello to all

My husband and I are about to file our AOS package this Thursday and as it turns out we are being directed to the Brooklyn Field Office (as per the uscis website) 😐 it’s looking really really rough out there for the Brooklyn filers. I’ve seen other field offices approvals in 4-5 months for the GC (wow). Is there anything I should prepare myself for ? I skimmed through this topic, however I will take the time to read thoroughly. I primarily wanted to identify myself as another New York AOS filer :)

Greetings, its hard to tell what to prepare for as we see 2019 fillers get the process moving much faster than 2018 ones, just in case prepare to be waiting long and be patient, but i think you may get the process done much faster than us 2018 fillers. so there's hope:-)

    Congrats on the notice!

Does Manhattan happen to be your field office?

I filed back in June 2018 I-130 & I-485, still waiting for an interview to this day. At this point I swear they just pull an application out of a box with any sort or order.

Gosh they really seem not to follow any logic, its kind of wheel of fortune..i really hope you'll get the notice any day now.

Congrats to all that have received their cards!

    I-130 and I-485 filed together on October 8th, 2018.

Finally received notice that the interview was scheduled. Not sure for when yet since I have not received the notice in the mail yet.

wow that's great! you bring hope to the ones whose PD is later, as so far mostly only the people with PD June/July seemed to have interviews scheduled so I'm quite prepared that I'll be waiting at least half of year more (my PD is December 10 2018) but knowing someone with October PD has already scheduled interview I dare to hope it may be earlier than that:-)

    My dear VS NYC friends,

    LONG POST ALERT 🚨

We had finally had our aos interview yesterday so i will share my experience for reference. Our appointment was at 1:30pm, Brooklyn field office. We arrived at the waiting area at about 12:55pm, we made the line to give up the notice and get the turn ticket (they call you by ticket, not by name and they don’t call you in order of number either). Fun fact: lady at the booth asked me if i was the attorney 🤣 (dressed for success i guess 🤣) i told her i was just the beneficiary and she said oh, ok.

We waited about 20-25 minutes maybe but we were called in fairly on time. The IO was very nice and courteous walking us over to her office, she swore us in and asked me to sit by the camera, took my fingerprints and pictures, asked us if we had any additional joint documents to bring em forward and put them on her desk and instructed us that she was going to start asking the questions to my husband (petitioner) and for me to put the documents on the desk while she asked away, we complied and she then said “omg i love how you put the files together!” And my hubby said “yup, she’s the organizer!” and she laughed and immediately started asking questions.

They asked my husband all the questions about how and when we met, where we went on our first date, how long we dated before we got married, when and how we decided to get married and why, asked about our living arrangements, trips with dates, if he had been married before, if he had kids, pets, where I worked (my husband did a great job responding to the questions without missing a beat as she went 👌🏽). Then (after the organizer bit) she started asking me questions, she asked if ive been married before or my husband, if i had kids or if he had kids, asked about pets how many and what were they lol, asked about insurance, bank accounts and what banks, asked about our bofa account which was originally just mine and when I opened it (2011 while i was here visiting) and so she asked if i added him and i said yes and I believe i added him before or after we were married she said ok good, asked about where he worked, told him he got a new job literally two days before the interview and she stated that those are good jobs, joked a little and then started asking me the aos yes/no, asked my husband to take 8 pictures (were we are in groups) out of the (handmade by moi album) and he couldn’t figure it out so i helped him get em out while responding to the rest of the questions, she then had me sign the aos form, thanked us and stated that a decision would be made in about 3 weeks but that I would get an email notification first and whatever decision made by mail after, walked us out and that was it.

Fun fact#2 my ENTIRE immigration file was on her desk because i saw a picture of one of my visas from 2005 (I assumed she purposely left it there so i knew they had everything lol).

Fun fact#3 the whole interview took less than 15 minutes 🙃 but it was thorough as heck

At about 3:50am today i got the email about new card being produced 😭😭😭

I’m assuming it’s a 2 year GC but my dad also told me the IO has the power to approve it for 10 years at their discretion (that would be awesome!!!) I’ll let you guys know!!!!

i had my tears of joy meltdown this morning when I saw that email 🤧 but this part of the ordeal is over for now friends 🙏🏽Good luck to all of you still waiting, go over prepared when it comes to paperwork, more is always better and be organized, they’ll appreciate it!!!

I will later show you how I organized everything for reference!!

Good luck and thank you for your support and your help throughout this process ♥️

    wow-congratulations :-):-)

Hey, the positive of that will be you get a 10 year GC and really be done 👌🏽 I was counting on that to happen for me but they said: “nope, we getting your money and stress in 2 years” lol I mean it depends when you married though 🤔

we married In October 2018 so from one side i want it to be fast from other, the 10year gc at once sounds good...:-)

  11. I'm so glad for all of you who recently received the date of the interview, and will be waiting for your comments after these are conducted, really hope they will be a good and positive experience 🙂 it seems something is finally moving for us 2018 ones 🙂 my PD is December 2018 so based on recent moves it will be probably another half of year for me until something will be going on..but its always better half of year than a year and a half if basing on processing times listed on uscis website..wishing all of you luck and officers in good mood 🙂
