  1. Hi, I'm currently applying for Adjustment of Status and my I-765 is highly overdue, and I have a job offer for a summer job that wants me to start filling out forms. Now I know I'm not allowed to work until I get my work authorization approved however I've been waiting since Late July of Last 2019, There was a bit of a hold up with one RFE that I sent in last month however I've heard nothing since. I was wondering if I was allowed to fill out the tax information like the W-4 without getting into trouble, I wouldn't start working until the 13th of June so I have a lot of time but I didn't know if that would make me ineligible if I give my to-be-employer my information to be ready by then. I think I'll get my I-765 approval by then but I don't want to jeopardize my application. Basically I'm asking weather if giving my would-be-employer the necessary information for them to be ready to employ me would harm or make me ineligible in my immigration process. Cheers, Hamish
  2. I did put in a processing request and the RFE was for Tax information I'm gathering up as we speak and send in as soon as possible!
  3. Hi there! I am currently applying for Aoj along with I-765 for work Authorization. on my I-485, currently have a Request for information however my I-765 is currently overdue processing time and it is still "active." I'm not sure if my RFE stops the I-765 from processing as I'm trying to get the documents together to send it off ASAP. so if anyone could let me know if my I-765 is being held up by the RFE on my I--485 that'd be great! Cheers!
  4. Hi! I was contacting a friend who gave me an offer for A summer job. Right now I'm currently going through the process of applying for a I-765 (which I should receive within the month) and a I-485 and I was wondering if I could legally apply for the job. My thought process is that, if I'm just being offered and I accept the job, is not the same as working and by this summer I should have the Work Authorization to start earning money. Though I can understand it being against applying for jobs. If anyone could help me out that'd be great!
  5. Hi there! I'm an Alien pending I-485 AOJ with my wife So I was wondering since USCIS requires a Affidavit of Support, and as of current, I can meet the income requirements if I file for the Tax Year 2019. I filed In late June of 2019, and turns out the income I submitted didn't reach the minimum Federal Poverty Guideline, due to complications with our Joint Sponsor and dependents and extra income and that for Tax Year 2018. However our Joint Sponsor now would meet well over the 125% Poverty Guideline. My deadline to submit is April 12th I tried searching on the USCIS website to see what "Most recent Tax return" had any definition to see weather I could file with 2019 Tax Return but I couldn't find anything. I will call USCIS tomorrow to see if they have any answers but I very much doubt it. TL;DR Basically my question is can I use the Tax return of both my Joint Sponsor for Tax Year 2019, as my 2018 wouldn't meet the income requirements unless I asked a different joint sponsor to Sponsor me. Which is a pure hassle.
