Would you please tell me their email address? And sending an expedite isn’t bad, right? Even if they don’t accept it ?
Thanks
nvcexpedite@state.gov
It can't hurt. If they say no, they will still work on your case.
You can also Google NVC expedite request and there are a few websites that help.
Good luck

Wow, that's so soon, congrats! Will you have enough time to complete the medical exam and have the results by then?
Thanks!
I have my medical the day before. Guess I'll just have to wait a few days after the Interview for the medical to arrive. They had no earlier appointment at the doctors office

Question, did you submit it through the website or in an email? We're trying to send it through the website but when we hit "submit" nothing happens. The page seems to refresh but goes back to our typed message.
Thanks.
Through an Email. Sent it to the NVC and they forwarded it to the embassy, cause they decide. So each embassy decides differently
My appointment is on June 16th.

Did they send you an email saying that your expedite has been approved ? Do you know if your case is still in transit ?
Yes, we received an email that said they are willing to expedite and that it's sent to the embassy.
We also received an email from the embassy already with an interview date

Congratulations. I sent a request 2 weeks ago for the same reason and also that I help take care of my mom but the embassy in Brazil denied it saying it would be unfair for those who are waiting for rescheduled interviews. Honestly I wanna send another request, but I don’t want to upset them either.
ive been DQ since Feb..... we can’t take this anymore. We were almost there.Sorry that yours didn't work. Each embassy is different.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe getting an expedite at NVC stage, and an emergency interview during the shutdown are the same thing.
To me, it sounds like you have passed the NVC stage. And will now wait for an interview once the embassy reopens. Unless there are some more details?
From a FB group about the Frankfurt consulate I actually have seen a few people getting interviews and apparently not only emergencies. But I'll just wait til I hear from them.

Bravo! Thats is great news, because, it means that things may move at the Embassies...
We had written a beautiful letter based on the same arguments (been apart for almost 6 months now...) but once we were on the Paris US embassy, it was restricted to a thousand characters (space included of course) 🤨 hahahahaha which is super short to express anything.
How was it for the Embassy in Germany, you could write a little more ?
Thanks,
Alix
We wrote an email to the NVC and they forwarded to the Frankfurt consulate. I don't know if we had any characters restrictions. But I don't think so.
Yes, it means that the consulates and embassies are at least looking at some stuff. So hopefully all of them, especially in areas where the quarantine is getting lifted slowly, are starting to work normally soon.

I tried to expedite in March based on an upcoming surgery (of the US citizen) but NVC replied to tell me they couldn't forward expedite requests to the embassy right now because they aren't doing them, so I guess it depends on the consulate? I'm already DQ now anyway but don't want to be stuck behind a huge backlog...
Maybe you can try it now? March is when everything started and they probably didn't do a lot of visa stuff.

Hello!
We just got expedited at the NVC stage on Friday, May 29th.
On the status site it says that out case is in transit. Hopefully it will arrive soon at the embassy and we'll get a interview quickly.
Good luck to everyone!

Not really, when I was at the gate, there was someone from the US government waiting there checking all non-US citizens for their documentation. Only after approval you may board. It states very clearly in the proclamation that spouses were exempt. So there was no question of essential/non-essential. All I had to do was to prove I am married to an US citizen. Wish you luck!!
Did you just fly there to visit your spouse or did you move there with a visa?

I flew from Amsterdam. I have brought my marriage certificate, copy of my husband's passport and driver's license. I understand that feeling well! Good luck to you!
Nice!
Are you just there to visit him. And if yes for how long?

Yes I flew here from The Netherlands 2 weeks ago. Spouses are exempt from the travel ban. And the papers (marriage certificate, proof of citizenship of spouse) will be checked before boarding.
Where did you fly from and what did you have as proof from your spouse? Is a copy of their passport enough?
I wanna fly soon too, can't wait to see my husband again.

Bei uns hat es zwischen NOA1 und NOA2 genau 316 Tage gedauert. Service Center war Nebraska.

Thanks! I have a finished basement that she can use to quarantine. It can operate totally separate from the house. A real quarantine.
Did the immigration workers tell her to do that? Or did you guys decide that yourself? Just wondering if they can make you stay in a complete different room or house away from your spouse. My husband has an apartment attached to his house, where I could stay quarantined too.

To update everyone, we took TBone's advice and she entered this morning in Fort Lauderdale no problem. Well, there was a problem because the Guayaquil Embassy lost our i-129f and she could't show it (but should show her email from them showing that they lost it). They eventually let her in. Thanks for all your advice everyone.
While it's great she made it - denial would have been a real disaster - it's still heartbreaking that she had to up and leave in these circumstances, unplanned. The original plan was for her to move in May, and travel the country to see people for the second half of April (or even all of April) after quitting her job. Then in early April we booked a one way for June 7, even if being able to leave her region of Ecuador was still likely impossible before then - it would allow for that chance, maybe, and would give her a date in advance to prepare so such a huge life changing move. But with the EO, our hand got forced here.
Her first two weeks here, she'll be totally quarantined and we'll have masks on when around each other. We'll eventually call the city clerk to marry us at his desk. He wears gloves, a mask, and a baseball cap to work. We'll have masks on. Strange times. I'm definitely bringing this local photographer who has been posting COVID pictures on social media.
Hoping the best for everyone else. Thanks for your help, all.
Congratulations!
Is she staying with you while in quarantine or somewhere else?

Aren't you a Legal Resident? I thought you can travel back home.
Lufthansa and United has some flights per day to the USA.

It's kinda funny, since I wrote my last post today, complaining about the Nebraska Timeline..
I finally got approved today.
PD June 6th
and my I-129 was denied today too.
Super happy but I am sad for all the April/May cases that are still not approved.
-
I'll be flying as soon as it is possible.
-
Nebraska apparently only is fast for people that have IOE Cases.
Seems kinda unfair. I am happy for everyone who gets approved, but feeling sad that the others that are April/May/June filers have to wait much much longer, even though they paid the same ammount of money.

It took us about 13 months from start to finish. But we got expedited at the NVC stage.
Noa1 to noa2 took us 10 months at Nebraska service center. And then after expediting it was only a month from the first email from the embassy to having my Visa In hand.
